  1. Gw2 is such a good MMO with all the perfect systems in place to have a life as long as WOW, if there advertising was better though... For real... I'd like to see this game run that long ,then when gw2 has finally reached the end of it's life ( plz not for at least another 8 ish years) I'd like to see arenanet move on to something new
  2. I really want to go to the northern shiver peaks, it'll be a good change of pace imo and then we can hit cantha after =)
  3. Arenanets development in raids isn't wasted.... People clear the bosses every single week. Most people that enjoy raiding play raids even after clearing for the week, and enjoy going in, earning there rewards, then going back in to play a different class, practice a need role, help out friends, etc. The content arenanet made is being played quite consistently by the player population they made it for, no matter how small.. adding an easy mode in would take development resources and apply them to the rest of the community to be able to come in and auto attack a boss, kill it . And then what? What's the incentive to ever come back for the easy mode players ? You won't be learning the boss mechanics (or at least shouldnt be able to see them all, it spoils the fight, think of the community going into dhuum easy mode, learning the mechanics and then going in and killing it , it would have spoiled the fight completely) you won't be receiving rewards, you won't really he having fun, will you ? After killing it for the first time in easy mode. You're almost gauranteed to Never come back . Now you've seen the content you've faught so hard to have conformed to your taste's, the current rewards aren't good enough incentive for you to raid now, they sure as kitten won't be after you've killed it in easy mode It's a waste if time to make content for people that don't want to play it. People will go in . Kill it and never look back. How do you believe that's a better world then the one we are in now ? Where you have incentive to raid, where you get something out of it?
  4. For real. I main chrono druid and gaurdian for raids. Swap key binds Everytime. Very tedious
  5. There's so much to do in this game, honestly. What has worked for me since the launch of the game, is taking the area's about gw I like best and building a goal around them. For me I shared your love for the combat system, so when I started at launch I made it my goal to finish all dungeons all paths. Then as the game grew I just set new goals around the areas of the game I liked best. Tier four fractals, raids, learning new classes, ect. That's what im doing now, finishing my legendary armor and trying to learn all classes and roles in raids Im sure you'll be able to find something you love to do in the game if you try to set a goal for yourself around the areas you like most. For story maybe you can play through the beginning of the personal stories on all the races so you can see all the race specific personal story segments, or take a sylvari through the heart of thorns story. Go for the achievements in the expansion stories. Im not sure where your experience is in end game combat for gw, but maybe try shooting for higher level fractals and raiding. Raiding has some amazimg story to it as well so you get alittle bit of both worlds and is definitely worth checking out if you haven't. Setting goals in this game has kept me playing since September 2012 and im sure it'll help you out too.
  6. Positives: =) =)-Mounts, which seemed like a foreign idea in gw2, were implemented so flawlessly that they instantly felt they belonged in a game that strives so hard to break conventions -map design is amazing, should be considered an industry standard for amazing world building -story seems to be maturing, and the delivery of story through instanced content and ambient lore is amazing Negatives: :'( :'(-elite specs can feel alittle too niche, spell breaker/mirage -i agree PoF doesn't need metas, but a lack of epic open world encounters is slightly disappointing. I'm sure there's a balance somewhere that would please both crowds without invalidating HoT.
