Guys you should be really careful when Arenanet or any other company does PR speak, cos its just to get a positive customer attention even if its kinda a lie or half a lie. You should belive in facts, and in real info there is around not in PR. - Arenanet has been nearly 2 years mainly hiring for a new unnanounced project. Thats a fact not PR speak. - NCsoft have said in shareholder meeting that Arenanet is currently working on GW3. Thats another fact not PR speak for gw2 customers. - The quality of the content we are getting is way lower than LWS4, Icebrood saga and even EoD? thats another fact, all those bringed lots of things with entire new models not just recycled "cheap" content. - They said "we have more ppl working now than after the launch of EoD and similar to LWS4" well, 1st of all, a lot of people that worked in EoD publicly said they left right before EoD launched or right after, so thats very vague way of expressing. 2nd the content we getting is way worst than EoD and LWS4 so either they have those people working on something else, or its just PR speak to keep customers beliving they are hard commited to gw2 while they make GW3 quietly in the background. Arenanet also said in PR that they were making alliances in 2018, in 2023 they said that they have abandonned alliances and they are focused in World Restructuring and we still dont have it. And examples like that you have loads across the years, so if you wanna belive just in PR not in facts and info that is not manipulated towards making the gw2 customer belive what they want you to belive its ridiculous. PD: I also remember last year ex-devs and current anet devs saying they were very exicted about Rifts, that is was a very cool new thing that they worked a lot on it.... and its basically reskined bounties, thats PR speak to generate fake hype. Same with the last fractal, when its just an empty fractal, with a 5 man strike boss with millions of hp and recycled combat. PD2: PR Speak 2.0, they have said that expansion 5 will have something very exciting for highend pve players. Lets see if its not fake too.

I think you should try other PvP games which are way better and way more populated, in fact they have thousands of people watching tournaments cos PvP is great there. I just dont understand people saying this game have great combat aside of fluidity (which most games does unless you have just touched WoW), combat is a spam fest mess in gw2. PvP is dead and the pve endgame is worst than many other games aswell xD. And as for HoT, yeah, good luck you wont be getting another HoT ever. The most your gonna get is another SoTo which i dont even think, cos they putted a lot of stuff in SoTo to sold us the new expansion cycle, so i think with the resources they are putting in GW2 and GW3 being in development the next expac is gonna be even worst than SoTo. And SoTo was already bad.

My top concern: 1. What is the point in playing WvW? or phrased other way: what is the point of grinding and winning a WvW match? if there are no prestigue, rewards or whatever behind it. 2. Add a new WvW map and replace one of the alpine borderlands 3. Add new mechanics to WvW. 4. Do something with Edge of the Mist. 5. Get World restructuring up and improve UI.

Yeah over 1 million tried New World, a game that had no fanbase behind it, all by potential new players and streamers. A big difference is that Guild Wars franchise has a lot of fanbase (20+ years) appart of all the new players and streamers that will try it, same happened with GW2 btw, the game flopped hard at launch in every aspect, but it was held cos it had the name Guild Wars on it. And it has been 12 years selling nostalgia content from GW1 also. So even if GW3 comes so unfinished as GW2 came, it will still have at least the niche playerbase that GW2 holds. PD: And btw what makes you wonder that if New World has had 10k concurrent players (players connected at the same time, not total players btw), that Guild Wars 2 hasnt had around that in many shadow periods? cos GW2 right now is not much bigger than new world belive me. I dont think this game has more than 20/25k concurrent players. And the top was a bit more than 500k after launch (half as New World top) stated by anet.

Guys stop thinking that a company is your old honest friend from your city. They will announce GW3 when the game is closer to launch. We know they have been working on an unnanounced MMORPG project since 2022 by loads of position openned, now we also know they have said they are working on GW3. Thats it, your legendaries wont carry over in any posible universe, thats insane copium that has no logic at all. For 5k players that would be disapointed and probably still try out GW3, there are gonna be another 1 million fresh players that will try GW3.

They didnt said anything, or in other words: they didnt deny they are working in Guild Wars 3 which is even more suspicious. And also now that we are on this point they should clarify whats the unnannounced project they have been working on since summer 2022, if its not GW3 (which it is). They will just go radio silent or end up confirming it by community preassure.

Or when they tell you they are just working in GW2 and they dont stop hiring for a unnanounced mmorpg project at the same time you barely get content for gw2 and the content we get its very low quality... its up to you. I belive what i see, i have a brain and eyes. Just the fact that Arenanet hasnt said that is false they are working on Guild Wars 3 its a statment that all of this is completly true.

The NCsoft CEO that OWNS Arenanet have confirmed that Anet is working on Guild Wars 3. Yes the same company that publish Guild Wars 2 quarterly earnings and gives money to Arenanet have announced that Guild Wars 3 is in the works. How about that?

Ill try to explain it to you even tho its a waste of time. 1) I came back in 2021 (as lots of other players) for cantha and for this re-newed focus on GW2 by the new arenanet staff. Cantha was okaish at best, but could have been better. Okay 2) Then they started suddenly hiring people for an unnanounced project despite what happened in 2019 with other projects and that they said they were full focus on gw2, and i was like okay lets be positive its maybe another game not GW3. 3) Then we keep getting low-hanging fruit updates and suddenly Gyala Delves appear, the worst content ive seen in GW2 so far. And i was like oh its maybe cos they are putting a lot of work into the new expansion. 4) Then SoTo comes out and you see its a full recycled/cheap content in every way, while PvP/WvW/Raids keeps on maintenance mode too. And then NOW it was obius that not only all the positions opened were for an unnanounced project but that half of the comapny was working into another game and very low resources were decdicated to GW2. 5) Then Ncsoft CEO confirms Arenanet is working in Guild Wars 3, what the hell do you need more to belive it, a pre-alpha gw3 beta code? What is arenanet gonna say other than they are working on GW2 even if its half fake (as it was in 2022). I seriously dont know...

To gain trust from financial investors. Then they saw the disaster it was for GW2 and earnings while GW3 comes out and tried to put it back a bit.

At this point i would suggest you to not belive what Anet is gonna say, and belive the facts that you see. Arenanet is gonna say they are full focus into GW2 with great things to come, same thing they said in 2021/2022 and then you find out they have hired +150 people for a unanounced project since summer 2022. Then we get the worst quality content/expansions ever like Gyala Delve and SoTo and they leak they are working on GW3, and again they will say they are completly focused on the GW2 mini expansions (just to keep milking money while GW3 arrives). I just hope GW3 its a good game and have quite somethings that made GW1 unique.

Denial face is hard to overcome. Since 1.5 years ago 90% of arenanet positions opened are for a "Unanounced project" under the description of "New MMORPG under Unreal Engine 5, well funded, with already stablished fantasy IP". Yes all of their teams are working in gw2 haha and thats also why your getting full recycled and cheap content as SoTo or gyala delves.

Actually the 2 main creators of GW1/GW2 art came back to arenanet in 2022, thats Daniel Docieu and Kekai as part time i belive too.

Alliances where just announced to combat New World, it will never happen!

Of course it was a total mistake from NCsoft CEO to announce this, GW2 community and earnings are gonna tank now. GW3 is very far from ready, theres no hall of monuments or anything. They are gonna try to make it seem like they are just focused on GW2 so people keep buying stuff and playing while they quietly work in GW3. What do you think its the 2022 unnanounced project they are working on that is a MMORPG under UE5 with already stablished fantasy IP, with leaks of assets from gw2 being moved into unreal engine 5 etc is...? that they are doing Aion 2 or that its GW3 that has already being leaked lol?

Do you think that the CEO of NCsoft wouldnt know if a AAA MMORPG that will likely cost them 200 million euros and 6 years of development is not in the works, to confirm Arenanet is currently working on GW3? they didnt ask him about when is the next wvw alliance beta lol Im amazed by the amount of people trying to deny the reality that GW3 is a thing and that GW2 is in the same moment GW1 was with GW:Beyond and QoL updates. Even when the unnanounced project started back in 2022 you started seeing this, i guess if you wanna be blind and get ur head smash in a few years when you have proper trailers about GW3 then its up to you. And in what universe will you think arenanet will shoot their foot by saying they are working on GW3 and doing low-hanging fruit in GW2 and milking money from it (aka recycled SoTo content, gyala delve...). When they even said they had a refocus on gw2. They are just gonnna say they are working in GW2 mini expansions and thats it, but again thats a lie.

We knew GW3 was in the works since september 2022. Its basically the unnanounced project on UE5. Even people trying to be on denial face and streamers saying its imposible, yeah its more than posible.

Raid set is even easier to obtain than obsidian armor, and cheaper. At least for the 1st set. Idk what you talking about. And yeah the game is going downhill but thats other topic.

GW1 was x10 times more cooperative and group/guild forming than GW2 has ever been (even with the addition of heros). In this game ppl dont know what is even to interact in a guild, that would have been crazy in the gw1 era, same about talking and forming stuff with other players (even to sell and buy items lol). Literally GW2 is the most soloable and antisocial mmo out there. Saying that GW1 was designed as a solo game, when it was designed as a cooperative game in all gamemodes is nearly a war crime. At least dont spread missinformation, cos gw2 even despite not having heros was designed to be way more soloable and non interacting than gw1, in buying/selling, guilds, soloing story/open world and even playing pvp (or directly cliking a random fractal group in lfg with 0 social interaction). Go watch also a video of top 10 games by google search from 2004-2021, you will find that gw1 was top 10 for 3 years in a row (even more than gw2 on its era xD) to say it was a low level IP. my god...

There are lots of things in GW2 that cant be changed (same as there were in GW1). You cannot change the balling gameplay of gw2, boon meta, skills tied to weapons, having so many skills on a fast paced game that it becomes a spam fest (in fact gw2 is the game with the most insane spam buttons ive seen out of any action combat game outthere). Aside of the graphics, engine limitations, too much systems over systems complexity already. So yeah GW2 is in its last face making money till GW3 or however they gonna call it come out. Its a shame but its what it is. I dont even think Anet is happy with GW2 and what it can offer for the future (that has not been done 100 times already). A game where your PvP is basically on maintenance mode (no new conquest maps, no new mechanics, no improvements, no new PvP modes etcetc...), WvW kinda on maintenance mode too with the dream of a new matchmaking that is gonna be basically the same as the wvw you play nowadays. Raids and many other stuff dead, and no resources/ambition to make hype new stuff like a new race etc... Theres not much hope for this game rather than playing what is up already and some minor content as SoTo was.
