  1. This is a good point, having better range on GS/Hammer would actually make a big difference. I think some minor tweaks like that would make war feel so much beetter. Another being let magebane pull ALL THE WAY TOO YOU like DH F1, bonus points if made manually triggerable. And the ever living meme that is Rush, like, just steal the rock gazelle SB animation, can't remember the skill name, and stick it on GS 5.
  2. Aside from MMR being more about the endurance than the healing, Mending is arguably the best heal skill in the game. With it's low cooldown you can cast it more often than you probably are. Getting a full counter daze on someone will buy you time to get it off safely. I'll pop it just for the condi clear sometimes, plus it gives a damage bonus from Peak Performance and more healing/damage/endurance if you're running Fighter runes with the might on heal.
  3. If you're talking statistically, then yeah, but I definitely do better on war than other classes. Because there's a ton of counter play due to full counter, the dodges from MMR, the CC, the mobility, etc. You just need to know the match ups. I won't disagree that we need some buffs or some hard balance on all classes Basically, with ranger it's easier to beat other players that I would already beat on warrior but if the other player is equal skill, I'd rather take warrior.   4. You're not wrong, there's not much margin of error on war atm. It's especially annoying when playing ranger because of how easy of a time it has in pvp. I would give anything to get ranger greatsword on war
  5. Warrior definitely needs some buffs but if you're competent in sPvP and WvW roaming you can be surprisingly dangerous. War is one of the better 1v1 classes still, even after the nerfs and despite what you may hear on the forums. Just look at the 1v1 tourny that Rom hosted a little while back. That being said you have to play the class well, because the average war will get kitten on. Strength, Disc, Spellbreaker are the best trait lines to run in pvp and has been for awhile.   6. Idk if it's a learn to play issue on my end but condi mes seems like a death sentence atm for warrior. Mes can just spam skills and demolish me, plus being able to use the daze mantra while CC'd seems a bit cheap. It's also a weird state of balance because warrior has a ton of condi cleanse, but it doesn't seem like anywhere near enough to deal with the amount of application some classes have.
  7. Spellbreaker is still pretty dangerous but really melts to some condi classes. Don't even try to fight condi mes, but you can kill other condi classes if you're careful and know when and how to kite, then go in for your burst. Using zerker amulet with fighter runes is the way to go, your big skills hit like a truck and your cc/mobility is plenty. If some of the other classes get toned down spellbreaker will be meta again imo, That's the usual strength build tho, the defense trait line is still a dumpster fire and core tactics feels rough atm. I don't really like berserker so no opinion there

  9. This is absolutely false. Soulbeast isn’t good in zergs but is arguably the best roamer given the open field nature of wvw. Thieves get absolutely annihilated by good SB players, and doesn’t really have any bad matchups in open field. Also has the most kite potential on any class with all the stab and leaps and even has the longest range. I honestly hope it gets nerfed in small group/roaming situations.
  10. I don’t think anyone here doubts that the proposed alliance system will be an update that’s sorely needed. But there are obviously complications in implementing it, otherwise it wouldn’t still be in development after two years. Why are you shilling the alliance system so hard anyway? If it’s still another year or two out, if it ever comes at all, then we might as well put some more pragmatic solutions in place before the alliance system is released to 10 people.
