  1. I'm pretty disappointed. I don't PvP, I occasionally WvW (mainly to finish up GoB if I'm close) and I relied on WvW Reward Track potions to keep me in the occasional GoB. I'm quite bad at WvW and not only don't really have the time to invest in it, but neither do I have the interest. This change appears to pushing me to wander around in a rather unserious manner to leech experience while serious WvW combatants are trying to do serious things - making both of us unhappy. It has 100% caused me to turn off WvW as a daily/weekly option - despite the fact I used to pop in and do the WvW dailies for... potions. Either GoB need to be added to the vault or potions returned. Or I guess continue to give away partial legendary kits that require people to run around in WvW Zergs for hours not really contributing to game play in which they are not interested.
  2. And the weeklies are grind mode - "Defeat 100 Awakened" "Earn 10K WvW Experience" "Earn 1000 PvP Rank Points" Fun. Reminds me of WoW kill tasks. And I'm pretty sure these are the kinds of "tasks" that encourage bots and discourage players.
  3. No, you get three dailies with (on mine) one from each and the login. Since I'm not going to go 1:1 anyone in PvP or go capture a sentry in WvW, dailies are sort of a wash today. I liked being able to pick across all the game modes, apparently you can't do that anymore. We won't even discuss the Weeklies I'll be ignoring until Monday after they reset and I can cut out visibility from two core gameplay modes.
  4. Yeah, stuck with them until reset on dailies and Monday on Weekly. No idea on Specials, but I'm annoyed it was the default. I really preferred being able to look over all the dailies and pick x number and sort of thought that's what we were getting. Looks like you get 4 per day, 8 per week and if you pick all the game modes, no control over the objectives if it's not a preferred mode. Not very encouraging of trying other gameplay. Removed both WvW and PvP going forward because they are overrepresented in my Weekly, which means I won't get weekly done. Now to wait and be irritated.
  5. Wow! That was super engaging! Thanks for posting it.
  6. That's the point - it's scaled down the exact same. Which means it is proportionally shorter. So just below the knees instead of a full cape length.
  7. I might have done it differently, with only the profession and crafting ones repeated, but I don't know if there were any constraints on feasibly doing that. Bothers me less than losing fishing stacks on a map change, but that's literally another thread. 😉
  8. The world isn't populated with jerks, but they are strategically placed. Their moms will call them for dinner at some point and most Steam gamers are familiar with the subtype.
  9. I was surprised as well, but then when I looked at the achievements, I could see how doing (some of) them on each new toon for the profession, combos, even scouts, would be a useful guide to learn each option. Since they aren't designed for the old folks, I figure it's NBD if it's working for the new folks.
  10. Look up "A Strange Diet" achievement on the wiki. You feed it fish - much like the HI cats.
  11. Maybe fishing nets instead of banners, just to stick with the theme. And I'd absolutely kill for a tackle box and that unbreakable lure you mention. Love the suggestion of boosting dusk/dawn a bit. Though it does build a weird community of five minute desperate casters all seeking the same danged fish...
  12. US here. Game was on Login screen, none of my chars could log in, so logged completely out. Now looking at the client, Unable to connect to login server.
  13. Plus one on this. Several original map APs I was hoping to complete appear to be not granting credit.
  14. Well, at least I know why I wasn't getting that one either. I was kind of confused as to why I had all these map APs undone since I normally knock them out when the map is fresh. Rats.
  15. On the upside, at least it's not just me and my horrible driving. Downside, it seems that, along with several other issues I'm seeing, I also have this one. 😐
  16. I reported this as a bug. When the Return to event started, I had 1 of the regular achievement bounties. Did three bounties, all three counted to the Return to achievement, none to the regular Istani Bounty achievement. I guess it's possible that it doesn't "count" twice, which would mean once the Return to is complete, the other would start applying. (If that's the case, sure would have been nice to see a check off list of the bounties completed/remaining in the Return to achievement.)
  17. I hate to pile on, but same here. Have the original achievements, cannot interact with the llamas (on multiple chars). Have restarted client and relogged chars.
  18. Casual player (1-2 hrs mainly evenings, occasionally on during the day, more on weekends), long time MMORPG gamer. Been playing mostly solo for 7 years after my guild faded away, world explorer and story line follower looking for friendly folks with whom to expand my horizons beyond single play or PuGs. Happy to do WvW, really terrible at PvP even after years of gaming. Enjoy events, dungeons, fractals, questing, etc. in groups small or large. Prefer a laid back adult guild with regular activities that understands things like dogs, jobs and life. More a typer than a talker, good listener, awful jumper. Thanks!
  19. This. Take my money now. Please. It would also be nice to have the ability to add permanent lounge passes to a travel book, similar to the Living World Portal Tome (or even better, to the Living World Portal Tome - extra shared slot goodness).
  20. That one is a lot easier if you mentally number them either clockwise or counter-clockwise (whichever seems to make the most sense for you) and then record the number to repeat back.
