  1. thanks for your input. luckily i complete LW S1 pre baby (pre searing: :P) i'll look to avoid it on my other characters, otherwise the rest of the stuff seems reasonable based on everyone's comments
  2. Thanks for the replies, sounds like i should be able to do about 85% of the content without too much issue with timing when i have to log off at the drop of a hat to tend to the little one without having to worry to much about losing progress from instance resets.
  3. Hi All, i have a quick question about the story content in GW2. Basically i need to know if in the Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire, the Dragons expansions and the living world content has that end of chapter instance that takes a long time to complete. for example that tower near the end of season 1 living world where you have to complete it to move the story forward. i think they might be strike missions? (but you dont join a group but can see other players doing the content too) or something similar. I currently have a new born, and in my down time i don't have 2-3 hours to complete this content, going halfway through and logging out doesn't help either as it resets your progress. i really want GW2 to part of my down time when i get it but i can't commit to long stints of content that will reset if i log out and lose progress. As a vision impaired player too things naturally take me longer. thanks for your time and have a good day
  4. Thanks so much for the encouragement, ideas and lack of judgment about my situation. i will definitely try out the Necro Minion Scourge.
  5. Thank everyone for your time, and comments about this. looks like a Necro with Reaper/Minions will be the one for me. time to knuckle down and start over thanks so much K
  6. Hi All, i was hoping for some advise from all you lovely people regarding Guild Wars 2 professions/Gameplay/Build. I've been playing on and off since the game came out, i played Elementalist. However in the last 2 years I've been living with vision impairment that effects my gaming and reaction times. What I find is that the game is becoming "unfun" and frustrating for me with the high amount of movement and enemy telegraphed attacks that i will see late, or not at all. In GW2 this can be fatal as the damage and health pools of your characters are often compromised resulting in character death. I really want to enjoy the game and experience all it has to offer within my physical limitations as it really is a great game. Instead of complaining, or go all "Woe is Me" about this i want to know if there's the profession that's more survivable that any of the others? i seek the input and advise of the GW2 community in trying determine if there's a profession with enough leeway to afford me time to survive encounters without smashing the heal button and the dodging all the time. I'd prefer it be a ranged option as i just can't see properly in Melee range. Also if there's any tips to assist with making things easier to target that would be helpful too Also i will mention i have already got all the QoL and accessibility options enable for the game so on a settings front I've got things sorted there. Is there hope for me yet? or time to pack it in and accept GW2 is just not for me anymore Thanks for your Time K
