  1. This and the copper-fed are my only two regrets. At least I got them both on sale so there's that. :) Copper fed would be considered my best gem store item for both my accounts :D I heard that from lots of people which is why I got it, but I think I don't salvage enough to make it worth it for me. I think it's because I don't really know what to use it on. What I do now is keep the 15 entry-level salvage kits I get from my weekly keyfarmer, and just use those on the salvage items I get during the week like ambrite from the bandit chest in my house. I don't salvage the green/blue gear I get, is that what you use it on? I just sell those when I get a full stack. (probably to people who salvage it all, come to think of it). What do you use it on?

  3. One way I recommend to meet people in addition to joining a guild is to use the LFG menu to find groups that are running world bosses/metas. These are often groups that run these events daily. I've met a lot of really nice, fun, helpful people by showing up and participating in their events as often as possible.
  4. Well from the wiki hes credited with the following, but who knows what else he did. He designed early renditions of continental Tyria. He designed the initial version of Lion's Arch and he filled it with a lot of NPCs. In the city, he co-designed the ghost pirate jumping puzzle with Josh Foreman. He designed the translatable alphabets for Ascalonian, New Krytan, Asuran script, and Orrian syllabary.Dead quaggan puzzle. He created the "Flying Dolyak" race of the first Festival of the Four Winds.Worked on several story instances, including Arcana Obscura, Prisoners of the Dragon, The Sacrifice, and A Shattered Nation (the last story instance he worked on). This Dolyak fan approves. :) Welcome back!
  5. Well, that is certainly an interesting addition to the phrase since back in the day when I was introduced to the fortune cookie game :)
  6. You may be confusing the two 'Gem Store' threads. You can check your preferences, and see if you can change anything. Good luck. You're right, it's the new and returning sales thread that I get the notifications on. Thank you! :) I will mess about in preferences and see what I can do.
  7. For some reason I am getting notifications in my personal notification window whenever an update is made to this thread. This just started after you moved the thread back from the internal forum. Does anyone else get these? Seems like a glitch. I think I once posted in the thread when I was new to the forum and didn't realize it was just for sale info, not discussion, so maybe that has something to do with it.
  8. Tonight I noticed that the karma I got from the Drakkar fight did not get awarded to me at all. I was still in the fight area when I opened it. It didn't get updated by closing/opening the inventory window. I will try waiting till I move to a different map next time before opening it and see it if works then. It was 3000 karma and my total never changed.
  9. (secretly hopes that the warclaw is updated with beans and also a "toot" animation whenever the warclaw is propelled forward)
  10. I want one now too. :) I will name it Tux and it will be a mighty hero.
  11. I realized that when I changed maps I also closed and re-opened the inventory window, so I think you're right, that's what does it. Thanks again :) I'm used to seeing it award immediately in Divinity's Reach, so it does seem like something changed.
  12. I paid attention today too and saw the update after I changed to a different map. Thanks for checking. :)
  13. None of the karma containers that I opened today were credited to my karma totals. The message about how much karma was awarded was displayed but my karma total did not get updated.
  14. Yes, this is what happens to me now too. I'd much rather be ported to Jora's Keep.
  15. I really wanted the /rockout emote and the only way I was able to get it was to do the WvW reward track. (I'm really glad that was an option. ) :) I'd rather not have something like that locked behind the meta achievements.
  16. Yeah, our beloved skyscale really dodged a bullet there. Back to the drawing board, Anet!
  17. He looks more stoned than sad to me. It's that droopy eyelid that does it.
  18. my biggest issue when i left it seemed they geared the expansions to particular races and even now neither of the races i enjoyed playing are highlight ed it might be dumb to look at it this way , I will at least pull it open and at least play to see if it still has its wandering adhd vibe which was my favorite part. My main is an asura, she's the only one who's gone thru the whole story so far. For me it wasn't an issue to see other races taking more of a center stage role lots of the time in the story. I think you'll find lots to explore at your leisure, the wandering around part is definitely still there and can be very enjoyable, especially listening to the NPCs talk to each other in out-of-the way places.
  19. I stopped playing for several years and came back about a year and a half ago. I say yes, it's worth it. There's a ton of stuff to do. Buy Path of Fire, get Heart of Thorns for free, and do the quest to get your raptor. It's a game-changer. :) Then go back and pick up the core game from the point you left off and work your way thru the story and the maps.
  20. The way my asura's ears react to everything she does, constantly...it's amazing and endearing and I love it so much! :) I have to add the mounts to this too...each one has such a different feel, almost like a distinct personality. It's the animations that make them each so charming.
