With Cantha on the Horizon the whole current known world of Tyria will be complete, that would make it the best mmorpg. From there on it can only expand into more epic new lands that we will explore and discover with future updates!

Now the interesting part is: what makes you feel left out? would you still feel left out if the compensation was a gemstore item of aproxx 300 gems like bonfire or hairstyle makover kit instead of 1200 gems mount selection? I too feel left out like many others, but I wouldnt have this feeling if there was no compensation at all or just a small compensation for those who lost some progress.The reason i feel left out is because people getting this 1200 gems skin for just logging in at certain point of the day while the reccomendation was not to. The best solution was no compensation and trying hard for those we really lost progress.Im glad many got their progress back and for those which are unfortunate a small 300 gems compensation or 1200 gems compensation wouldnt satisfy anyway because they lost big amounts of progress. ps with progress i mean potential gold income or achievements, not standing afk in LA.

Woah I did not expect so many people to react :o. I can understand all your perspectives on the matter and I respect them all.I do appreciate the compensation but my main point of disagreement is the fact that people who just played in a small window of 6 hours suddenly get a free gem store item worth of 1200 gems while the rest of us will be getting compensated with an item worth of 300 gems.The difference is just way to big, 4 times more the value for just being online. As you have read multiple posts, this does give a wrong message to the gamers. People that talk about a loss talk about losing precursors or loads of gold, but I just know that the biggest part of the player base are just casuals like me which make their earnings by just doing dailies. The risk of losing dailies for getting a 1200 gem compensation is a risk worth taking for the next time :) if it was just a compensation of max 400 gems then this situation wouldnt have exploded so much.

Staying offline to try and help Arenanet is also a form of missing out on ingame progress so I agree.

Because of the Server Crash / Rollback I agreed with our caring community that it would be best to leave the game at rest in order to not make things potentially harder for Arenanet to Fix the server issues. Now we all are missing out a compensation worth of €15,- !! Just because we agreed it was best for the game. True, i for example, did not lose my 2Gold daily progress because I did not log in, and maybe sum woodies and ores, maybe a T6 venom sac or 2.But i did miss out on a potential 2 Gold progress because i decided to be thougtful like most of our caring community. I would lose 2 Gold everyday for a compensation of €15,-!!! Where are your principles Arenanet?The first Server maintenance in like 7,5 years???How often do we get real problems thanks to Arenanet?The answer: barely!That alone is Kudos toward Anet really. I think the compensation is quite generous.However I think its overcompensating with a piece of content which they charge 1200 gems for, aka €15,- I did not get a compensation because I made the decision to stay offline and safe.Normally this is fine, would the compensation be like a small gift of an aproxx value around 400 gems. But what I disagree with is that indeed, people who stand afk, or just did dailies didnt lose so much progress which accumilates to €15,- in my estimation. I would gladly give up my daily progress for an 1200 gems voucher! :p So its quite unfair and I thank you for this post and support.
