  1. Friday a champion tempest player showed up during JQ/BP/FA match up. His HP was probably in line with champion HP as well. What was the story here anyone know? Link to screenshot https://imgur.com/a/9hb15wI
  2. I was thinking about this earlier this week.. since WvW has largely become a bunch of tagless people looking for stuff to do, it would be nice if we somehow could see everyone on our server on a the map where they are. Yes, I realize that is counterproductive to the invisible tag. In open world PVP MMOs that I have played in before where there is a big map in similar TeamVsTeamVsTeam game modes, having visibility of where your teammates are was extremely important, especially when the population decline would kick in. If I was not able to see teammates on the map in those game modes, I would probably assume no one one was probably on or that it wasn't worth my effort to find the action and log off. But because I could tell there was activity and where it was, this helped keep the game mode alive and in existence. I feel like those game modes would have died without a feature like this, it was that very feature that was keeping them alive. Sadly, I think the invisible tag option is counter productive to the current population issues we are facing. It's the opposite that we need to be doing to keep this game mode alive.
  3. Wait, did this already happen? I thought WvW was just a BG blob k-training around already?
  4. Following up to myself, and this guys comment... I went ahead and did a dns flush and netsh int ip reset. Then I reset my modem and router as well. Afterwards this, it resolved all the lag I was experiencing and noticeably improved some of my HD streaming as well. Worth a shot to do this from time to time, I just didn't realize I hadn't done it in a while.
  5. I have been having the same issue the last few days.. rubber banding, skill lag, players/myself jumping from one position to another. Very frustrating and impossible to play like this.
  6. I think this means that BG will likely take a step back and allow room for some balancing of power and maybe allow some commanders who were feeling a little bullied to peak their heads out again. It's (BGs) existence and dominance has been counterproductive to the WvW population for quite some time now as I don't think any server wanted to be in T1 with them. At this point all BG was doing was k-training around WvW maps, and sizing up with zergs half their size. I'm surprised Cookie even put up with it for that long honestly. I for one hope this brings a little balance to T1 and maybe trickle down a little more competitive aspirations to some servers that may want to actually strive for and hold on to T1. If you think that WvW will die because of Cookie, then I think you are probably on BG. Otherwise I think people would welcome this change.
  7. I'm not really into recording my gaming sessions anymore, let alone editing videos... but how about some brief descriptions of what happens instead? Picture this! An elementalist, that is actually a tempest, using the build linked above, wearing flamekissed wardrobe with abyss dye tones and red dye tones as the highlights.. looks flamey. Also using Warframe legendary backpack with Bifrost staff. The elementalist decides to engage with a sentry across the map so he sets out on his friendly Warclaw mount.. upon his travels towards the sentry he runs into a spellbreaker who is looking particularly desperate for a fight running straight towards him! The bursty warrior blows several heavy cooldown spells to try and dismount the elementalist, and he succeeds! But alas, this is what the tempest wanted all along. So the warrior pops endure pain anticipating a heavy hitting tempest and begins swinging his weapon offensively but is surprised by the numbers showing up on his screen.. he doesn't see the 10k, 12k numbers he expects, they are more like 6 and 8k.. he mumbles 'whatever' and resolves to be even more burstier than he typically is! After a few hours of this, the warrior decides that this is not in his best interest and promptly throws his keyboard into his monitor thus ending the whole affair. The elementalist, confused why the warrior has stopped responding, simply by casting fireball, kills the warrior in 5 minutes or so... having vanquished the foe in epic battle, the elementalist mounts up again on his Warclaw and proceeds towards his sentry target, when he comes across a ranger who looks like he has consumed the soul of an animal recently with the same desperate look he is so familiar with...........
  8. This is normally what happens.. I resolve to take a sentry or a camp (takes forever to kill anything though) and then an enemy or two comes in. Spend 5 or more minutes holding them off then eventually someone from my side comes and cleans up.. or like in other cases, the enemy just simply stop fighting me realizing they don't have enough power to take me down. This build also places me in an excellent spot to help out other roamers. I feel like staff/cantrip ele has great mobility, so even in zerk I can escape zergs as long as they are not completely mounted. Only a few nights doing this so far so I'll get caught out and trampled down by zergs like any other roamer would eventually.
  9. Awesome! I'll have to try a variation of this, though I will miss concentration as a stat. Love seeing stab/prot/regen last forever.
  10. So.. I decided to try roaming out with Tempest in full minstrel gear (durability runes) and wow.. I can't tell you how satisfying it is watching people get frustrated and just attempt to disengage. I think I actually end up killing people because they are tired of fighting or putting up with me. Seriously, there is not one class that can take me down yet. Even with 2-3 people sometimes I can hold my own, at least until I can escape. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQFAWnMMAdOgFOAWOAcYilTArYKOA/Auf106blYCEAWAA-j1xHQBAU5X42fAc6Ign6PPUJY+uQAA4BCEA4A493DAv/+7v/+7d97v/+7v/+7v/+7lCwrBbA-w[ I use Arcane mostly because I like boons and handing boons to people I'm near, but I will move to Earth if I feel like I will come across more population. I adjust various traits and utilities per the situation. In a zerg a aim for more aura/shouts, etc ] Any experiences with this or different builds? Out of all the classes I've played minstrel in, it feels the most tanky with Ele. So wait, am I troll then? ;) /ramble
  11. Seems like EotM shouldn't have that exclusion. If that was the case, EoTM would run rampant with hackers thus no one would want to go there so yeah...i believe it should :)We have to be careful not to mess with the enjoyment of the 5 people who are still playing EoTM /s
  12. Yes this sucks, but I'd like to throw in that I think people pulling the Emergency Waypoint to manipulate the Queue is just as bad if not a worse offence. I had forgotten this was a thing until a recent server linking occured to show me it's still a thing even some commanders do to manipulate the queues.
