  1. I think the current system works well enough that it doesn't need to add something as crazy and out of sync as this
  2. Hmm...does "Git Gud" help? yeah it does actually, ive been trying really hard to get into this game/community since recently falling in love with the setting, but some of yall have repeatedly proven its not worth the effort. im too old for the git gud kittenill go be 'insane' somewhere else lolthanks for the push Were you able to complete the quest?
  3. All I think you need to do is pour the oil while directly up against the fence. So that half of it goes to the other side. Then finish your trail. No mount is needed for this either.
  4. This is not my video but it gives you an idea
  5. If you're on the fence part... there's a very obvious thing you're missing if you just try it...
  6. There are few positive effects that come from allowing strangers to talk to each other online, for free, without some serious moderation. By moderation I mean anything other than simply muting the person. Banning them from the server, as an excellent example. Give someone the means to do something repulsive and they'll do everything in their power to do just that. External applications provide the necessary tools to deal with miscreants and the general public, especially when they feel safe and invulnerable. It is by far the best way to deal with anonymity on the internet. In a way you can look at like this: why negatively impact the game by reinventing the wheel? Anything you want to have in a VoIP system in-game, you would already have in an external application -- and more.
  7. Are you able to find the gem shop while in the game? Cause that's where all the fundraising for players comes from
  8. There's a bounty train going on right now in Crystal Oasis. Not to mention these trains usually do more than one map.
  9. Yes, it should have just been an achievement mount and they should have left it at that.
  10. I just want to put it out there that you are easily the best representation of yourself. Trying to force the representation of you onto a character does not represent you as well as you can represent yourself by... just being yourself. People will include you in activities because of how you represent yourself usually, and not how your fictional character represents you... for you. As much as we all want something to represent us for ourselves, there's really no other way to do it. That's why humanity communicates with each other: for representation and friendships. But I'm totally on board with having physical access to different voices. I think the idea here, however, is that the voice is tied to the race in particular. So that it feels somewhat natural to represent that race in the video game.
  11. Are you playing the first note too early? You start playing the first note as you jump to the group of clouds in front of the door. That or wait until you land on the first cloud and play it.
  12. But does it modify them to give you an unfair advantage, surely this "mod" is just forcing the software (launcher ) to run in another piece of software (dx12 file ) to improve the gameplay, unless it does other things aswell, ( havent played around with it ) I'm fairly certain that it's a blanket clause that simply says you are not allowed to modify any game files for any reason, and then it specifies a number of examples that people might commonly edit game files for Took me all of 10 seconds to find a clause for you https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-user-agreement/True, but then arcdps is a violation as well (it modifies the exact same file) and Anet dont mind that last I checked. Anyway regarding this mod... I just hope it kicks up enough fuss to get Anet to do it officially instead. And that's why it's a blanket clause: catches anything and everything that could fit the criteria. So usually these things fall under a severity rule where, if deemed serious enough, they could take action against it (like warning the user, or banning them for 3rd party use). I don't think they will ever truly accept the use of third parties. They have to be extremely careful because of the nature of their business, and not whimsically accept every third party software that comes into the market. That and I doubt they're going to staff anyone who's only job is to investigate third parties, when they could be doing many more things elsewhere in game development and the like. So "use at your own risk" is probably still the answer everyone is looking for.
  13. Give yourself breaks during play hours. Especially if you're one to farm something for long periods of time... then give yourself multiple breaks. Then find other things to do in game that are important to you. Breaks are key here. There's a reason every computer operations manual/booklet/guide/whatever tells you to take breaks

  15. If it modifies any game files, then it is likely already in violation of the EULA And that means any game files, not just the executable launcher...
