Kaukomieli.6740's Achievements

  1. The new Adventuring guide achievements also give lots of experience so if you can complete those on HoT maps, it should help boost you along nicely, I think, for the leveling part of masteries! Otherwise, do events, use XP boosters if you have any and join the metas regularly. For the mastery POINTS themselves, adventures are your friends of you haven't gotten silver and gold in them yet (and a quick and fun), as are the strongboxes scattered around the maps. Living World Season 3 also awards HoT mastery points afaik so if you haven't used up and completed all masteries there (and have access to it), that's a nice additional source of points! I made use of that when I was grinding for my gen 2.
  2. Doesn't bother me, I think it's kinda cute honestly, but then again I like quick little (mental) reward boosts that come with achievements completing (I like the sound effect). I haven't gotten far enough to have any problems, but also likely will not notice if my progress stops at some point lmao. I can see how it could be irritating to other people though, especially with stuff that doesn't auto-complete when it would make sense for it to do that.
  3. On OP's topic: would love to see men loving men on the center stage as well! I have my wlw representation already, in multiple forms, lucky and unlucky, and men deserve that too! Like someone else said, pretty often wlw relationships tend to get more screentime and representation than mlm ones because they are easier to digest for certain subsections of the cishet male player crowd who balk at anything male and gay, no idea if that's the case here, consciously or unconsciously. It's a weird sort of privilege that kinda feels like a backhand in a way, when it's genuinely that, but idk about that here. Arenanet is doing a lot to include LGBTQ+ folks of all kinds in their world so I wouldn't think that it's a conscious effort to not portray mlm relationships in the main/central cast. I should hope anyway! Keeping my fingers crossed for the gays to get their center stage also! ^u^ Love your ideas!
  4. I would not mind an in-built DPS meter if it only showed my own numbers - the golem is out of the way and doesn't really represent a real combat situation very well. However, I do not have an active wish for this to be implemented, I just would not mind if it DID happen. Implementing in-game party/squad DPS meters (or DPS summaries after metas and fractals and stuff like someone suggested earlier in the thread) without a way to opt out of being shown on them entirely would be a significant blow to my enjoyment of the game however - the feeling of being compared or competing (even when I'm winning!) gives me anxiety that I do not need when I'm playing just for the funsies and already avoiding the content where big numbers and performance actually matter. IF these meters were only limited to what's "hardcore content", then would not care, doesn't affect me, but like, don't want them to be everywhere all the time.
  5. I die to lods of things including - hard to detect (or time the dodging of) and often chained by multiple mobs CCs and disables and being immediate swarmed to death - AoE clusters + huge swarms of enemies during metas especially, I have difficulty paying attention to many things at once in general. - being shot down from a flying mount and not being able to deploy a glider in time 😂 - inconsistently difficult veterans / champions / elites? Some are REALLY inconsistent in difficulty.
  6. Map completion / hero point runs on alts, material gathering rounds, Drizzlewood if I need gold, mount unlocks, story missions on alts, jumping puzzles, metas of I feel like it - basically whatever I feel like in the moment. My gameplay isn't really super goal-oriented or focused on making money or being efficient, i just like doing something chill without pressure. One day I ran around VB just stomping flocks and flocks of pocket raptors just bc it was satisfying at the time. xD nothing was gained except fun.
  7. That's GORGEOUS, and a super fun concept! 😄 i love the colours and the expression and gesture -- everything really! I don't have Twitter so can't retweet but am yelling at it in excitement over here!
  8. I would love swimsuits, personally, other than the default underwear - or if not, then would love to be able to even just change the color of the underwear to make it a little more personalized. In any case, it'd be lovely to be able to change into a proper swimsuit outfit on beaches for screenshot ops, or just to chill and run around in places like the beaches of Labyrinthine Cliffs, Grothmar Valley beaches etc. I don't even do proper roleplaying but would appreciate a little bit of immersion and would be ready to pay some money for it!
  9. Festival of the Four Winds got my vote and also Wintersday - fofw would get the sole vote but also something about the map makes me physically sick super fast (and gives a friend headaches) so I can't really enjoy is as much as I'd like to, whereas very few places in-game give me motion sickness elsewhere. XD Wintersday wins a narrow victory for no motion sickness, and also I love winter-themed things and the jumping puzzle race and everything, it's just super cute! Feels cozy!
  10. I used one on Augury Rock, and one on the Ley-Line Anomaly, and that's it. XD I'm pretty sure that if I'd have to complete those two, no skip possibility, I'd have done Augury Rock and there's where my skyscale story would have ended ppffff. Also if I had needed the bomb for the Griffonrook Run bit, that would have been skipped as well! No sir, I have not achieved that to this day and will not ever accomplish it, pretty sure.
