I'm also waiting for a clarification since I only bought the gathering tool with this glyph for gathering varietal seeds.

I opened a thread about the glyph or crucible that has the same issue.https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/92594/glyph-of-the-crucible-bugged#latest It's not even synthesizers, it's EVERY legit form of plant that should be giving varietal seeds, that is bugged now.

Since the patch my Glyph of the Crucible is bugged and doesn't give me any varietal seeds needed for ascended cooking. gathered with Crucible gathered with Bounty
