Can confirm with others. I did a T1 rift and it counted as a T1. When doing a T2 it counted as a T3 in the achievement. I did a T3 and the achievement did not change so i assume it counted as a T3.

I appreciate the Anet comment @Butterfly Kingdom.8349 but do you know when this studio update will be? For a bit we were getting a lot of posts on the subreddit and now its seems we are getting a lot less info. Alliances is a cool feature but do we know the path it will need to go on to get into production? Do we know if this studio update will address other issues that were introduced to wvw? I understand that Anet likes to do announcements the day of or right before something, but do we have a timeline for this studio update?

They seem to just be slow in general currently. The wvw change for defense they did out of nowhere has no comments despite a lot of controversy. The new map they made (living world) also doesnt seem to have much follow up if its a 2 parter or not and we dont know how these Gorick things work with it (no word yet). It also seemed strange that for SAB they mentioned in during the roadmap when it would come out but then the next time we hear about it is the day of. Also like you said no news or comments on alliances yet. I dont know what is holding up info, but it seems there isnt much coming out.

I dont know why people are so anti mag. Like i was recently thinking wvw is too rewarding and i want to flip objectives more while not defending and anet said we agree, lets netf defense. And then I thought i want to play wvw too much and anet said now i get to play mag so i dont need to play this week. It really is a great system. it helps moderate you from getting too sucked in.

As another poster said, the concern about AFK people getting rewards ends up hurting players who actually play way more. That new weekly reward system is a no go for me right now because the defense ones just arnt happening. Also i see almost no defense anymore , besides SMC. This all seems to be about SMC and people just chronically repairing the outer walls for credit and afking. But now all the towers, keeps, and SMC have defense participation issues. Right now Im seeing less active participation when I try to play wvw and it has killed a lot of my buzz to play it. I liked defending towers and keeps. I like the battles. GW2 players are great at optimizing everything for max currency and afraid if we enter warhammer onlines lets just zerg towers and wait till the other team captures out so we can go in a circle. Fighting be damned. Also we have no word if there is going to be an update to address this yet, or if its even viewed as a problem by anet. The change came out of left field and seems to know that it will probably cause a lot of issues.

Let me know what your findings are. I am seeing some players talk about patterns to be deemed an attacker in the eyes of the system such as attacking or killing an npc and attacking or destroying a wall or gate.

I just want to understand the order in what happened. When you say you are killing people right after a flip, do you mean you capture the objective and are killing them inside of it? Also what kind of objective was it? Like a keep or tower or SMC? I ask because for the life of me this just seems really random with what im seeing in wvw. I can be in a tower defending it with my team and kill enemy players on the stairs heading to the tower champion and it doenst seem to work. The event is up and I am getting xp and bags for killing them, but the defense event doesnt seem to trigger.

Thats not good. Are we going to Warhammer musical objectives? I was trying to experiment with defending towers in wvw while the objective is active and i have no idea. 5 kills and no credit. one kill and bronze credit. 4 kills and no credit. This seems very unintuitive. All of this was inside of the tower while at least one wall was destroyed. I get that people were annoyed about people just repairing SMC outer walls and having them get redestroyed, but this seems to affect all aspects.

So i know they changed repair for not counting but it seems like kills are a bit funky. I was defending a tower in EBG and the event for defending the tower was active. I got kill credit for 5 enemies in the tower during the event. At the end of the event it didnt say I got any part of the defense though, not bronze or anything. Just no event popup. Is there a magic number you have to get credit for before it counts? From what Im reading kills are the only way to get defense participation, but so far kills arnt seeming to count towards that objective. Do I just need way more kills in the objective? Is it just buggy? Thanks

I dont claim to know the entirety of warrior, but i do claim to know what looks and feels OP and basic. Its ok to like it. People like mechanist for what it is. It will eventually get nerfed and people will move onto a new FOTM spec and claim that its the darksouls of pvp and how its sacred. Notice how its just 3 warrior mains jerking each other off with how nobody gets how hard it is to be a warrior.

So real talk. I played shout sworn and it was a super broken baby build before it got nerfed a little. I got in the top 250 because it was so broken and easy. Guys its ok to admit its a broken and dumb and you are having fun with it. Lets not act like everyone became good out of nowhere with the massive buffs. These are the wow death knights when they came out and people acted like it was not the super broken class helping them. Its ok to admit you are playing something that is fun and broken. You dont have to act all high and mighty about it. I like my top 250 title, but i dont claim its because im a super gladiator. I played a basic baby spec.

I set my shadows from ultra to medium and it seems to work ok so far as one user mentioned. You can do this before having your character zone in on the character select screen.

After the latest update the game client just crashes now when logging into any character. I tried combability mode and launching it with just the shortcut and it just crashes as soon as a character tries to log into a map. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hello I previously report that my game client crashes in pvp and i ran an experiment and i still dont get it. I installed gw2 on another computer and instead of warrior where all the crashes were happening consistently in pvp i did elementalist. So completely different computer with windows 11. Up until last week the game ran fine but now crashes a lot in pvp. The game now still crashes. I dont see any patterns to it, besides that in pvp the game will crash to desktop and throw up a winform prompt where i can submit a report to anet. i have , but this is very frustrating. i cant play a game mode because it just crashes. I noticed since the last major patch my game client has been crashing. This only happens in spvp. Its a crash to desktop with the popup asking you if you want to send the error report. They targeted gamers. Gamers! Something something 1984 something something fruit bowls something something censorship. Instead of heals the robots have wedges and lack of booba or something. This is literally the worst thing to ever happen ever.

Imagine all the issues people have with the Dragons End Meta and apply it to every zone. That was the HoT launch. The player base said the enemies were considered way too difficult (from the regular to the legendary) , the rewards were considered too minimal, traversing the maps was considered a pain, the players felt they had to grind masteries to advance the story (they did) , and also players didnt like that the map wide metas made sure you couldnt advance your story if they were happening. We saw the first and only new wvw map come out that was considered everyone least favorite and a brand new E Sports pvp mode that nobody liked and that was abandoned. Lots of nerfs came after that and so did lots of buffs to rewards. The funny thing with HoT is that I found after PoF launched people had a much nicer view of it because mounts allowed players to bypass 90% of the maps and things they didnt like. People have a special place for HoT but its launch was not that of a happy playerbase.

For spvp I’d like more game modes you can play. Right now we have conquest and I’d Like some more modes like ctf and king of the hill. Also the ability to queue into the new 2v2 maps they made.

Lots of good stuff out there if you look for it. So many great entertainment options and they're everywhere. And there is zero reason to support BG or ANET in this failure. I would suggest everyone boycott WvW until ANET gets a clue, but it looks like that is already being done. People are leaving because ANET obviously doesn't care and BG is the proof. WvW keeps getting worse, not better. Why anyone would stick around for this pathetic garbage is the real question. Can you list some of the better options? I agree about BG but what are the better games?
