  1. Yes, it will be a lot of work.Yes, it will be complicated af.Yes, PvE/PvP/WvW will all scream about OP and unbalanced initially.However-- Endorphins will flow through our brains, same as those from climbing mountains, watching good movies, eating chocolate or ice cream...There will be discussion, both good and bad. The controversial Howard Stern once said, "There's no such thing as bad publicity". Even if it's rocky at first, a 3rd Elite will Bring players backIf the Build becomes complex enough, it will take players a while to solve and find alternates. Players love this for the same reasons they love a myriad of trading-card games: moving pieces around happily, comparing what results, playing these against each other... Just do it, ANet.Just do it.
  2. Typically, after opening lots of boxes, I might get a bunch of recipes. So I search inventory for these recipes, and then begin to open them one by one. The problem is I have to scroll down far, hovering over each one (!) to find the next recipe I don't already know (red text "You already know this recipe!"). Solution: A checkbox somewhere near "Choose from:" to say "Hide Known", and it would filter the list to only show what you Don't Know, or no results at all. thanks, icy
  3. chrono has HIV? /s apparently condi chrono can stack a reasonable amount of confusion, even if it may feel clunky now.

    RIP chrono

tried boon chrono about an hour ago for the Fractal recs (66, 37, 9 iirc), and yeah it feels like shit. 1) Who thought literally removing a button you'd trained yourself many hours to press was a good idea? 2) "Loving" the extra ammo on Mind Wrack in Illusions. When you use your first ammo, all clones are gone and the second one becomes grayed out. A+++ I can also imagine clutch healing shatters or condi cleanse shatters (Inspiration) being an issue, as in the cave portion of the Escort raid (first encounter in Wing 3). By being an issue, i really mean you cant activate them at all, since no more 0-illusion shatters for chrono. Yay?
  5. Who cares about the original Guild Wars in this context? Stop wasting your time w/ these comparisons.Build Templates were a highly requested feature for quite a long time now for GW2, emphasis on 2.
  6. the real solution is to make CMs reward something on extra completions (perhaps another of those chests of food/util once a week, or some other fair scaling). Some raids have more instant-kill mechanics than others, like the walls of Soulless Horror. If that's too boring, lowman it. CM versions of raids generally add some more instant-kill aspects to the fight.
  7. Scrapper already can resurrect 1 downed player, even if 2 enemies are cleaving it as hard as they can. This alone makes it stupidly broken in havoc vs havoc, and imo it should have no place in WvW. I've seen it memed in the Twilight Oasis fractal for heavy condi clear when stabilities used to be especially bad. I totally wouldnt mind if Scrapper was nerfed into the ground.
  8. rip, most of my experiences with dps meters have been pretty positive. The best setup, imo, is when you have friends who are better than you. This creates a friendly competitive environment, much like IRL where you can learn tricks from playing w/ a better friend in some sport/game. A few weeks ago, I was in a mostly-premade-friends fractal group, and we opened to LFG to fill the last DPS spot for a typical 50+ ess CMs+T4s run. A reaper joined and pinged quite a bit (over a stack) of essence kill proof. I could tell he was trying to 'help out' with utility and stuff, but he wasnt doing very great numbers-wise. At the very end of the run, I kindly mentioned he should check out a few other builds, as they do the whole bursty-deeps job better, esp if all the support elements are already present in the party. He responded by asking for more info with logs and stuff. He didn't have discord, so I started a squad, invited him there and copypasted a bunch of links to our uploaded kills from 100CM and 99CM in the squad message (easier for him to copypaste to address). I explained some of the analysis of the burst with the graphs, giving him an idea to examine not just the overall number that you'd see by default. And he took it well, agreed, and thanked me. This is how I'd hope it to work and continue working -- constructive criticism, people having friendly competitions and encouraging improvement. In endgame group content, everyone becomes specialized as boon and other responsibilities are neatly split amongst the party or squad members. Practice makes perfect =)
  9. A Ranger such as a Druid might want to take the Nature's Vengeance trait. It looks like this in-game on hover: Now hovering over one of the Spirit utilities is missing the important "Number of Allied Targets" text (for the traited boon). Pictured here is Storm Spirit: Q: Why is this missing text important?A: When using the active of an already-summoned spirit, it teleports to your location and causes an effect on targets. These are generally enemy targets, though it'd be nice if the Water Spirit text also said "Allied Targets" instead of just "Targets". With the Nature's Vengeance trait, per the first screenshot, these spirits also grant boons on 10 Allied Targets. It's unclear from the second in-game screenshot that the (traited) Storm Spirit's active skill would grant Fury to ten allies. All we can see is that the Damage and Daze would affect 5 enemy targets. A copy-paste of the Nature's Vengeance "Number of Allied Targets: X" (in Blue) onto any traited spirit tooltip would be great. Thanks.
  10. Also, back on topic, would probably help to have screenshots of your bets (e.g. Kappa dialogue window with the ones you've chosen now missing as options)in-game text from Announcer saying, for example, "Mystic Forgery wins!"
  11. Bet on five with a 100% chance takes exactly 1 race with 5 bets, or 100 taffy.50 taffy cost, and if it's a daily, 100 taffy win (profit +50). If possible and RNG dailies are kind, do this method Moa Racing only when it's a daily, and just once. It's similar for 2, 3, & 4 bets. The difference is the potential in spending less. Making one bet, there's a 20% chance of needing only 20 taffy; bet twice and it's a 40% chance of needing only 40. Still a gamble, with less chance of failure.Ok, so let's consider how one does across five races in total, with consistent bets. Things are more complicated than they seem ;D Consistent 1 bet 20%, 32%, 38.4%, 40.96%, 40.96% of succeeding exactly once after one, two, three, four, five races, respectively. Note that this is different from instead calculating at least once, and the percent would be quite a bit higher. Cost up to 50 taffy.Consistent 2 bet 40%, 25.92%, 43.2%, 34.56%, 25.92%. Cost up to 100 taffy.Consistent 3 bet 60%, 48%, 28.8%, 15.36%, 7.68%. Cost up to 150 taffy.Consistent 4 bet 80%, 32%, 9.6%, 2.56%, 0.64% . Cost up to 200 taffy, with very small chance you'd still need a win after the first couple. More likely you'd pay 40 or 80 taffy in total.Consistent 5 bet 100%, 0%, 0%, 0%, 0%. No point playing more than once. 50 taffy cost after just the first one. Some of these percents might at first seem strange, but it's logical if you think about it (chance of exactly one win after multiple trials, remember). Now, one may be more interested in at least one win after 5 races. This is just an expansion of 1 minus "not winning at all*. 1-(chance of fail from single event)trials.Consistent 1 bet 67.23% chance of winning at least once after five races. So this would be calculated from 1-(0.8)5Consistent 2 bet 92.22% chance of winning at least once after five races. From 1-(0.6)5Consistent 3 bet 98.98% chance of winning at least once after five races.Consistent 4 bet 99.97% chance of winning at least once after five races.Consistent 5 bet 100%
  12. @Broadway, it affects community-driven sites like gw2armory, Snow Crows, metabattle. It's difficult to share builds with friends at this time, for sure, but at least the actual in-game experience is unaffected. Some progress is being made =)
  13. Selectable Recipes -- Show only Unknown Can you make these a "short-list" to show only the Unknown ones or a popup like "You already know all these -- (1) Destroy (2) Open full list anyway" . At the bottom of the short-list, you could add a "Open full list" for those players who don't account bind but go straight to the TP. At the very least, this could be extremely useful for the account-bound ones like "Recipe: Ascended Warhorn". The QoL would save mindless scrolling, looking for your next unknown. I'd like to believe most players try to account-bind unknowns first, so this would greatly help thx, icy`
  14. They didn't make Hearts on new map (yay!) , but still felt it was necessary for artificial delay of game o.O
