  1. Did they fix this now? It's still so slow for me that it's virtually unusable right now.
  2. I agree. What is the point of removing foods from ToT though?
  3. The donation goals have been updated again and the bonus effect has finally arrived in the game! Image showing Extra Life Bonus Very brazen, how the tweet below comes across, I think. Suggests the effect should be live since today, which is definitely not true (blogpost Extra Life 2022 Is Next Week). Tweet
  4. 😂 I'm genuinely impressed with how closely you looked at the outfits. The outfits mentioned really don't benefit from those emebellishments. Far too often are unnecessary scraps of fabric used, from which the outfit gains nothing but clutter. In these cases, less would really have been more. I would even go so far to say the term "embellishment" is pretty euphemistic here. It seems to me that it is primarily about covering up what is supposedly obscene or, concerning the Winter Solstice Outfit, masking design flaws.
  5. Might very well be like that. I hope for the best.
  6. The Extra Life fundraising charity of Anet has greatly underperformed this year with only $9,003 raised so far. This is a meager 5% of last years $175,000 (GW2 Wiki Extra Life)! Just checked LA again: still $8,508. They really should fix the donation goal updates and the missing extra life bonus asap. It's been a week since start already, time is running out...
  7. Just joined LA some minutes ago and the donations so far were finally visible under the Extra Life section. The corresponding achievement is updated as well, but still no bonus enhancement. 😭
  8. Thanks a lot for posting that dev info! According to Mike O'Brien — not part of Anet anymore btw — it is so costly, since armor sets have to be designed for each armor weight and then modified to match each race and sexes, "so it's like developing 30 sets" (O'Brien). For Outfits it's similar to developing 10 armor sets [(1 appreance fits all weights) * (5 races) * (2 sexes) = 10 sets]. The expense of creating an outfit cannot therefore exceed one third of the cost of one armor set and it should take at most three months to develop. Is it a matter of fact that only 4 outfits are released per year?
  9. Can't say I agree. You're fine with how many new armor skins get released then?
  10. While clipping is surely not desirable, it's imo still preferable to have some of it ingame, if that pushes the release frequency of new armor skins.
  11. I feel like Anet has some problems with those special event effects atm. The WvW beta buff is still ingame, while the beta actually ended a week ago yesterday. Let's hope they add the already made donations to the goal retrospectively.
  12. If I remember correctly, Anet stated once that it also takes them so long to make armor skins vs. outfits, because they check every existing armor skin on compatibility with the new skins to avoid clipping. This production approach is imo pretty ridiculous in itself. It just cannot be that making new fashion becomes ever more complicated and expensive with time. Anet needs to find a way to establish "fashion" production standards that make it obsolete to check for major clipping.
  13. Thought so too at first, but the blogpost clearly states otherwise: "A special enhancement effect is available in game from now until November 16:" (Blogpost). 'From now', meaning as of the blogpost's date, which was on October 25, 2022 ‒ three days ago.
