  1. I suggest you don't make a build diversity nerf/problem out to be a git gud issue . I also suggest not being a smug annoyance to converse with.
  2. I won't but don't tell me that in order to have good sustain, I should just play Spectre.. GTFO
  3. What if I don't want to play as Spectre ???? You hurt my brain just now
  4. I should have clarified, looking for Chrono advice. I'm not interested in any mirage builds. I have a pretty good mirage build already, but I appreciate the mirage tips nonetheless.
  5. Hey Mesmers, long time veteran here, but somewhat new to Chronomancer specifically. I'm looking for a build that has decent damage capabilities , but most importantly I'm looking for something that can survive/win in most combat scenarios by itself including low tier fractals, open world champions, groups of veterans/elites etc.. I can accomplish this quite easily on my main classes, (thief, reaper, rev, guardian, soulbeast, etc.. ) However, Chronomancer I've been struggling a bit. I've been rotating three builds with varying success , I was hoping you guys could analyze them, add to them, and help me figure out a version that might be best for what I'm trying to accomplish. Here's what I got so far: First up : This is a tweaked meta build, using wells for extra healing and dodge for extra clones. But a bit squishy overall. Wells have a long cooldown . My least favorite:http://gw2skills.net/editor/?Pi1AwyFlNw2YMsGWJW6XatfA-zRhYBR3UFk3WQhihVItlixGIVUVqNA-e Second: This is another tweaked version of the meta, focusing on additional damage output using signet of ether to recharge phantasms, while relying on runes and sigils for sustain (generosity and vampirism specifically). It's pretty good overall, but struggles against incoming high damaging scenarios that don't have a lot of mobs present to kill.http://gw2skills.net/editor/?Pi1AwyFlVw2YMsGWJW6XaNfA-zxQYhob5tDXYh0WAGbqURV53A-e Third: This is the one I've had the most success with, but I hate giving up an entire trait line just to make it work. It uses inspiration trait line for lots of sustain/cleanses just by summoning clones and phantasms and signet of ether to keep it's damage output from falling off too much. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?Pi1AwyFlVw2YMMPWJmWXaNfA-zRZYBR3UFknY4CLk2SxYDkKqK1GA-e I intentionally left food out of the conversation just to simplify things. (If you're wondering about the celestial trinkets, they're just lazy placeholders until I figure out the best build for my playstyle). I sometimes use offhand shield and phantasmal defender instead of enchanter. I've considered a mantra build, but they seem to contradict my playstyle a bit, but I can be convinced. What build do you guys think is the best for what I'm trying to accomplish, what other builds or tweaks might you suggest instead? Thanks !
  6. I think I'd rather have a full second of reflect projectiles as opposed to that 1/2 frame evade. But yea, more likely just make it more oriented towards power builds would be better overall. I think thief was always meant to be played with hybrid builds in mind, but this game doesn't seem balanced right for that to me.
  7. Why do you have to give up something? Maybe have it cost one more initiative?Sounds like you're saying it might be too much with the reflect projectiles? Too much functionality? That's a fine opinion to have. But are you saying Death Blossom is in a good place now? But it's just a weird move since D/D is mostly power based skills except for DB which is condition damage based. It's balanced funny. I think it would provide just the right tweak to make D/D a bit more enjoyable outside of condi builds and deadeye backstabs.
  8. I personally think Death Blossom should reflect projectiles when used, making D/D a little more nuanced in game modes , especially in PVE and WVW. Would that be OP ? Inconsequential ? or Fun ? What do you think ?
  9. That's exactly the point I was getting at, If you can put the particle effects on other weapon skins, you can shove any weapon you want in someone's face as a legendary without being restricted to only that one legendary skin. The possibilities are endless.
  10. To be perfectly honest.. you don't really make too much sense.. Why wouldn't you want more customization? !?!Whether or not it's practical to include would be the argument. But, I don't value any feedback you provided. Maybe you just didn't understand what i was getting at.
  11. I think Guild Wars 2 has a lot of fantastic weapon designs, unfortunately when you work so hard to unlock a legendary , well ... you want to use it ! That puts a ton of other really quality weapon designs on the back burner. Well what if when you unlocked a legendary , you didn't just unlock the skin, but the effects that go along with it. Imagine wielding the fiery dragon sword but with the trail effects of Sunrise, or Cobalt with the effects of Bolt. It would open up a whole new world of customization and be more of reason for people to collect more legendary weapons. Arena net would probably make more money, and players would have more options. Win/Win. Not to mention, separating the effects from the skin itself would be very useful to WvW players who for example might like to wield a legendary but don't exactly want those footprints left behind. If the effects are separated, it would also be easy to turn off. What do you think?
  12. My main problem is that other classes are just plain better. Thief will always be the gameplay I prefer, but it's just silly how any hoops I have to jump through to get a decent amount of burst damage(including forcing me into an elite spec i might not want to play). ie: how many things can go wrong when trying to land a successful backstab, compared to other classes who just hit f1 and/or spin to win etc.., and get even greater damage out of it AND aren't nearly as squishy.
  13. Hello,After flying around with the Skyscale for a week or so now, I really love it, but there's a few tweaks and suggestions I have that might help the overall experience without hurting/breaking anything: First off, the flight bar has that canopy altitude to it, where if you fly too high, it starts filling up red. Okay, that makes sense. However, I think when you fly down to a certain point from where you started the bar should start filling up a different color (ie: green), which will then give you more flight bar to help get you back up to where you originally started. This might also help fix that nasty bug whenever you updraft and try to ride a skyscale the flight bar starts completely red. My only other suggestion would be for the flight bar to refill a bit faster when going down. It's very disproportionate to how much it drains when going up as opposed to how much is recovered when going down. I hope you guys like my ideas, and this gets some attention. Thanks.
  14. Hey , long time player, but semi new to ranger/soulbeast and i had some questions about the Smokescale Pet abilities that I defer to you experts: 1) The Smoke Cloud ability: The evades and condition immunity is only for the pet itself , right? No effect on player other than a combo field ?2) What if I use the smoke cloud and then merge/ go into beastmode? Does the smoke cloud then do anything for the player other then combo field ?3) The Soulbeast trait 'Live Fast' states that when using a 'beast' ability you gain quickness and fury, yet I only seem to receive those boons when using a 'beast' ability in beastmode. Does it not give boons when you use a 'beast' ability outside of beastmode ? Thanks in advance for the clarification.
