This is all I care about. The rewards are fine. I also don't think cracking open gear and doing dodge rolls etc are good for playing with a friend

I was assigned this and I did not do it. I am not interested in dungeons or mini dungeons and no amount of forcing on Anet's part will change that.

I have the EXACT same problem as you do. My bf and I just want to do dailies together. Is that so much to ask? I don't think I'm being entitled to want this.

No .... NOT good. My initial question was wondering if I would share the same daily as my boyfriend and the answer is an undeniable NO.

OK so my boyfriend and I have both PvE and WvW checked. We both have the SAME expansions. We had only 1 of three matching daily assignments (I am not counting the brain-dead "log in" acheivement). Mine was Perform 3 combo skills in combat, Defeat 3 enemy invaders in WvW, and Complete Vexxas Lab Minidungeon in Fireheart Rise. He has: Defeat 5 Veteran enemies, Defeat 3 enemy invaders in Wvw, and escort supply caravan in WvW. Sooooo the answer is YES dailies are different for everyone. It looks as if they're randomized.

I would be fine with this if they kept the idea of having choices for what I can do AND have dailies that you can do alongside friends. Dodge rolls and cracking gear ain't it.

I think you were trying to say "No one said you have to do dailies." My response is: ALL I DO ARE DAILIES. That's all I have time for. So Anet is deciding to chase us away with this approach.

I will tell you why... My bf and I play the dailies together very often. Usually just the daily because we're both very busy. We used to go through this list of 12 options and choose the 3 that we think are the most fun. Now we will have no choice. And, it may be that we have different daily assignments, but this part is unclear. Also, some of these new daily assignments are things you can't do with a friend, like "dodge 10 attacks" or "identify 100 unidentified gear." They are killing both A. CHOICE and B. GROUP PLAY. I am not complaining so much as I am giving feedback letting ANet know we're not going to continue playing with these new changes.

"get people to try things they don't normally do" doesn't sounds like a lot of fun from the perspective of the person being forced.

I think there would a lot less user error if Anet had been clear about the new system before it was implemented. So are you OK with the new daily and the lack of choices there? So far I've found NO ONE who is OK with this lack of choice.

I didn't buy the expansion and now I know I will not be buying it.

I'm good with this too, and even choosing/buying the "daily rewards" and only 1 gold etc. I just want to be able to choose what I want to do and have things on that list that you can do with a friend.

Thanks for everyone who checked into this. We have the same expansions (although I do have other friends who play that don't), so at least there's that. I did foolishly select PvP as part of the dailies (not knowing how I was about to screw myself over), so my bf won't be selecting that and will probably have different dailies just for today. And we will have different weeklies for this week as well
