  1. Thanks for all for your post. It seems I am not alone. The thing that I worry most about this is I will get tired of these things taking up space and simply delete them. Then a week or two after, they give us a useful option. That would no doubt me cause utter a few choice words.....lol
  2. I have well over 3000 of them taking up space in my inventory. There was a time when I needed them, but that time has long passed. Let us put them in our wallet, salvage them into something useful, sell them on TP, or at the very least, let us sell them to a merchant.
  3. If you have a thief, use Infiltrator's Arrow. It instantaneously shadows steps you to the target area you chose. Just make sure it's in the direction you want to go. It refreshes quickly so you can pretty much just spam it. It works well for any foot race and makes it easy. No need for speed boost.
  4. Thanks. Thats pretty much what I thought but was not sure.
  5. Still can't complete it. Does this mean there are more maps yet to come?
  6. Oh boy....I got to say I'm a little embarrassed now. "Did you actually start the adventure?" That was exactly my problem. What an idiot I am...lol For whatever reason I never looked to my left. I just went straight for platforms. I guess I figured just teleporting into the room started it. Anyhow, thanks to all that replied. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
  7. Thanks for your post. I just checked again, and I get no timer. I also checked the videos that I have seen.....they have the timer that you mentioned. It does seem I may have a bug. One other thing I might mention. Maybe it's as its designed.... I don't know....If I do it more than one time on any given day, I only get the chest reward the first time. After that I get nothing no matter how fast I do it.
  8. Thanks for your post. Just skimming through the many posts, it seems you are right. Either way, I have now done both and both were enjoyable to me. The second time really wasn't necessary, but I still liked doing it. Some people enjoy hard content that takes nimble and fast fingers and people like me prefer leisurely gameplay that doesn't require sitting on the edge of your seat and have split second timing to be successful. I think overall, GW2 does a pretty good job of satisfying both game styles.
  9. I hate to bring this up again, but I'm starting to think there is some kind of bug. As said before, I'm usually not good at this sort of thing. Still it's one of those things with a little practice, I can be good. I have watched videos of people getting gold. I'm not trying to brag, but I have done it maybe as much as a minute shorter....still no credit. Am I missing something or is there a bug?
  10. I will admit, I didn't read every post in this thread, but I get the gist of at least some of them. I went ahead and did the whole thing. I got my shiny new skyscale. Was it worth it in time and money.....short answer no....it's just a slightly different looking skyscale. Still, I have no regrets. It provided me with many hours of things to do. There were many things to do, but none seemed like a grind. Even the worm egg thing or whatever it was only took maybe an hour or so. Granted I'm not like many. I don't care for hard to do content. I just like exploring and collecting things even if I don't need them.
  11. I usually hate these things, but for whatever reason I have got pretty good at this one. I have managed to get silver but not gold and the mastery point. I know you have to do it in 4 mins, but I see no timer. I don't know if I'm close or not. Also, at the end, there is a pair of boots you can click on. But it says best to leave alone. What the hell is that about? Also. When it's a called race. It asks for party mode....what is that? Lastly and this is a tip that I learned after many tries. The second room. Jump two squares, circles or diamonds at a time. Pretty much a sig sag pattern. By doing so, it almost automatically times the on and off times. Just figure out your path two at a time. If you do it right, you can get through that room faster than any of the others. Anyhow, I would love to hear your thoughts on this and perhaps any tips.
  12. I'm not talking about points ready to go, but points that you have but have no room to move to your total that has only 1300 max. Will not doing so and saving it for later limit the category's where you can go for more. This probably applies to the "Special" more than the others. As of now, I have 4 categories maxed out. I have 3 others I can work on, but there are 5 others that remain greyed out. I'm guessing I need to cash out the ones I have completed to get access to the ones greyed out. I would do it, but there is not much I can buy right now that I want. I have already bought all the revive orbs, mystic coins and most of the bags of gold. This is all fine and worth the effort, but I wonder if at some time they will offer something more expensive and more worthwhile. Thats what I'm trying to figure out. It's how and when is the best course of action when it comes to spending and/or saving points. What is everyone else doing. Spending them when you get them ( even on things you don't want or need ), or trying to save them for what yet might to come.
  13. Pretty much the same for me. No matter what map you are on, it goes to Mount Maelstrom. I've never did any rifts there, yet it says completed.
  14. Thanks very much for this post. This is the exact thing I've been wondering about. I have all my masteries except for the Greater Arcane Treasure. After a lot of work and some frustration, I finally got enough to get that one too. However, when I looked to see what I might get from a greater Arcane treasure. I'm not so sure it's worth it. I'm not that good of a player and some mastery points are out of my reach. Especially ones where you got to get a gold in this or that adventure and a few others. For instance, in Heart of Thorns, there are two or three masteries that I will never get due to the difficulty obtaining enough mastery points. Thats why I'm cautious and not that keen to spend these last 6 hard fought mastery points on something that seems to have little worth. I still may do it and hope there are extra points to be had beyond what you might need when they add new content. Thanks to all that contributed to this this thread. I can now make a more informed choice.
  15. I'm fine with that. I just wanted to know what I was getting into. And to be honest, I was also interested in getting achievement points when you do all three rift levels on different maps. There are quite a few and I think its 5 a piece.
  16. thanks Okay thanks for your replies. It's much clearer now. But to be clear, they are just a onetime use....is that right. If so, that seems kind of expensive.
  17. As the title says. Do you need a new one for every tier 2 or tier 3 riff. I got credit for a tier 3 once but did not have one. I'm guessing someone else did. It's very confusing how this works. I have looked on wiki and elsewhere, but it's still not clear to me.
  18. Let me get this strait. There is no real reason for getting the new skyscale other than achievement points ( and something to do ) and a different skin? I guess what I'm saying, is it just another mount that does the same thing but has a different skin. I may still do it, but it would be nice if it could do something the old one can't do.
  19. Good post. Maybe I'm wrong, but was anyone complaining about the potions? In other words, If it's not broke, don't fix it......
  20. Good post. I'm only speaking for myself. I am one of those PVE'ers that come to W vs W for dailies. I did it for two reasons. Some of the dailies are easy, and it was kind of fun, especially flipping camps and the occasional tower capture. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought I was helping even if I didn't stay there long. If it stays the same, I may not be back. I don't care about GoB or even the potions, it was all about the dailies. Tell me, for the hardcore W vs W, will I be missed or is this a good thing. I honestly don't know.
  21. I don't know, this may be an unpopular opinion. I don't care about the story. I would like to, but going all the way back to GW1, there were just too many characters and story lines for me to want to keep track of it all. It's almost like a soap opera. No doubt, some have taken the time and effort to understand it all...and enjoy it. Good for them. When a new story comes out, all I think about is new rewards and/or achievements. Basically, I just want some new things to do. Give me that, and I'm happy.
  22. I'm not sure why you would want to do that, however, if you want your pet to do pretty much nothing, put in passive mode. To be honest, I never do that so I'm not sure just how little it will do when in the passive mode.
  23. Thanks to all that took the time to reply. I think that pretty much explains why it's there.
  24. I knew nothing about this until it popped up on my recent achievements. I looked into it, as far as I can tell, there is no real reason to complete these 5 levels. No achievement points or loot... Am I missing something?
  25. This is only my opinion, but I didn't think it was a grind at all. Sure, there were many steps, but each can be done in a relatively short period of time, and all were different. I actually enjoyed it. For me, it was far more enjoyable than doing some meta event countless times to get whatever you might get from that. It was kind of like a mini game doing various things to achieve goal. If you want to talk about grinds. Try to get "God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals" from GW1....that's a grind....:)
