  1. Players can opt into choosing the guild as their WvW guild. So for example a guild may have 500 members, but if only 10 select that guild for WvW, that guild will only count as having 10 members towards an alliance. The hole I see in that logic is that the guild leaders/officers need a way to approve/deny a guild member who has selected that guild as their primary WvW guild. Let's say your alliance only has room for 20 members from your guild; if 500 people in your guild select your guild as their WvW guild, you should be able to choose how many and which members to accept.
  2. Yes, everybody wins! New colors for everyone, new gameplay for catmanders, and new monetization options for Anet with different icon types
  3. The black icon would probably be very easy to see on maps with snow or trees. 🤔 That's why the request is for an additional option, not to replace all existing options with a black tag.
  4. I'm all for it. I love supporting Anet through the gemstore for cosmetic options.
  5. The same falty arguement could be made of the white commander tag. What matters is contrast. In dark maps or dark settings, the white tag will show up well and a black tag would be hard to see. In lighter maps or lighter settings the black tag would show up best and the white tag would be barely visable. I'm not asking for all other colors to be removed, I'm asking for another option. If you have an issue with it, you can always use something else.
  6. I know exactly of the issue you're talking about. Apparently that's only a problem with core commander tags. The catmander tags save colors.
  7. Cats come in a diversity of colors and we have white catmanders, yellow catmanders, orange catmanders, etc. but no black catmanders. I strongly feel that the black cats out there deserve representation as well and would very much like for there to be a black catmander tag option. Plus from a pragmatic standpoint a black tag would be much more visible (than say a green tag) on encounters like Slothasor and having the darkest option would create optimum contrast and vsibility for any encounters with lighter environments. That would help in accessibility for those who have color vision deficiencies, which all cats are (compared to humans). ... ... .. . ...it may sound like a silly request, but it really would mean a lot to me to have a black catmander tag. I had a precious black cat named Lucky, who had been with me since he was a kitten. Lucky was always with me, whether he was napping by my side while I was adventuring in Tyria, or in my IRL adventures too- we've been on many adventures together like camping, backpacking up snowy mountains, hiking through waterfalls and jungles, and touring many cities (and their aquariums!) Lucky liked to chill on my shoulders when we went out, was trained to use the toilet on our adventures (so no need for kitty litter), and slept under my covers every night. On New Year's Eve last year, Lucky died of a congenital heart disease. Despite sparing no expenses on vet visits and staying up all night studying medical textbooks on cardiology, I couldn't save him. At first I tried to push through the grief, but eventually I drove myself to the ground. I was so devastated that my life became a wreck. I stopped working out, postponed my boards exam, and became completely withdrawn socially. Overwhelmed with anguish, I retreated to escapism through gaming. Life can seem so cruel and random, but I had always found the stories and worlds inside of games to be comforting- defeat small monsters and gain experience, level up and challenge the boss to save the princess. And if you die, you can always try again from the last save point. But months of dulling the pain through escapism didn't change how sad and empty I felt inside. But though it was still difficult for me to reach out to my friends and old adventuring buddies in person, I eventually made new friends in GW2. We progressed towards our endgame goals together, and I learned that many of my new friends had feline friends of their own. In sharing our love for our cats with each other, I gained a sense of comfort and closure, as if I was able to honor the signifgance of Lucky's life and memories in some way. Perhaps I'm being selfish, but I really would like to remember Lucky as much as possible, even if it is just through a catmander tag.
  8. I wish the Zhitaffy gobbler came back. It seemed to have skipped this year
  9. My concern with the guardian changes is with the usability and visibility of the activated virtue effects. With other guardian specializations it always made sense because the virtues did one thing when activated, and worked similarily to signets. With firebrand it was always cumbersome because the active effects of virtues are tied to accessing your tome skills, which means you don't have the flexibility of using the book skills independently from the activated effects. But at least it was transparent in that you would know exactly when your active effect/tomes would become available, because of the cooldown counter. Now that there will no longer be any cooldowns to entering tomes, but there obviously still will be a cooldown on the activated virtue effects, I can see this being handled one of two ways: 1) The activated virtue effect remains coupled to accessing tome skills but retains an invisible internal cooldown 2) The activated virtue effect is completely uncoupled from accessing tome skills and retains a cooldown just like any of the tome skills. So for example, pressing F3 once will show all your tome of courage skills and the activated effect of tome of courage and their respective cooldowns- from there you can use any of the tome skills or press F3 again to trigger the active effect of courage IMO the second option would be far better implementation, as the first one makes the active effect cumbersome to use to the point where it becomes almost meaningless, like something that just passively happens every once in a while. Of course there's a third even worse implmentation that I hardly dare speak of- "firebrand needs more tradoff, remove active effects from virtues completely" which would result in a riot. So I guess my point is, I really hope Anet will go with option 2, to completely separate triggering the active effect of virtues from accessing the tome skills.
  10. About Obsessive Completionists [OCD]We are a flexible endgame-focused community structured around a verified skill-based ranking system. Our community values kindness, a desire to grow and improve, and respect for others. Experienced players who meet the skill requirements and resonate with our values are given priority when signing up for our Experienced runs and can do so at their leisure, without having to commit to a static or meet activity requirements. We also offer Training and Semi-Exp runs for newer players, and less experienced players who haven't met the requirements for rank yet are welcome to fill for Experienced runs to gain more practice. If you resonate with our values of mutual respect, desire to improve, and willingness to help others, reply here or message me for details!
  11. I was progressing KO CM with some friends yesterday and when I tried to hit "F" to ressurect a downed buddy, the Trading Post menu came up instead. Apparently others were having the same issue with their inventory menu. It was very disruptive to the experience. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
  12. We're probably the minority, but I do hope Anet values us (or at least, our financial contribution) enough to make an effort. I agree with you, I won't be quitting the game any time soon, but I've gladly spent an embaressing amount of money on the game out of a desire to support it's development, and that will change until they show consideration for the conent I care about.
  13. Obsessive Completionists [OCD] is a growing community with the aim of introducing more players into GW2 PvE endgame by bringing together players of various experience levels so that everyone can grow, learn, and get clears together. We identify three 'levels' of experience:-raid/fractal leaders who post signups and organize the party or squad-experienced players who aren't comfortable taking the spotlight but are willing to fill, help clear, and give pointers and feedback-trainees who who have demonstrated their motivation and capacity to learn and improve by completing all of the necessary preparations. They may be new to the encounter, but should be familiar with the build they are using. No matter what the rank or experinece level, we are all trying to imrpove. Mistakes will happen, so be kind to one another, help each other grow, and have fun while striving for victory! We focus on training raids and T4 fractals, but there are plenty of members in the community with interest beyond that scope (e.g. CM progressions for strikes, raids, and fractals)Currently we have three modalities for group formation:-pings which function like pugging the LFG, except with verification and transparency in regards to build, gear, and experience for all group members-signups where schedules are posted in advance by leaders-statics focus on challenge mote content and are like a "leadership training program" for our most active members who are interested in growing the community by becoming leaders and mentorsOur groups mostly form in the hours following reset on the [NA] megaserver. Killproof, DPS benchmarks, and logs will never be required to join a group as a trainee, but could be accepted as proof of experience if applying for experienced ranks. If you resonate with our values of mutual respect, desire to improve, and willingness to help others, check out our Discord!www.discord.gg/mwdzuq3Hw7
