  1. Thanks, I had thought visual effects infusion were different than Agony Infusions but I guess not.
  2. I have a Leather Workers Elegant Backpack with an unused Infusion slot. I also have a Polyluminescent Undulating Infusion that I want to go into that slot. But nothing I try seems to work to put it in there. There is an Embellished Brilliant Chrysocolla Jewel in the "upgrade" slot but it still shows an empty Infusion slot. Even though it is in a different slot, do I have to remove the Chrysocolla jewel to get the Infusion in?
  3. I have played all the classes. I have ten characters and two of them are Ele's (one Tempest, one Spellweaver). I find that I play the pet classes especially well. Necro, Ranger, and yes Engineer with their turrets. So I always have up Glyph of Lesser Elemental and the elite skill of Glyph of Elemental. They have gotten me out of tons of situations in which I would have died otherwise.
  4. I could have sworn I picked the Orders of Whispers... I stopped playing for at least 6 months. Real life intruded. When my son started playing the game I picked it back up with a vengeance. I thought my Charr Engineer had picked going with the Order of Whispers in the personal story. Before my hiatus I had gotten as far as helping the Ogres defeat the giant Devourer. Well as an Engi I could not defeat it and left my character be for awhile. When my son started playing a Charr Hunter I asked him to follow the same story line so we could do it together and I could finally get past the beast. We did it just fine and I got credit for it and then I continued the quest line myself. Now here's where it gets strange. I did the quest "without" my son and had Tybalt as a partner, doing Order of Whispers stuff, all the way up to Claw Island and my son doing it on his own up till the same spot, at which time my son joined me again so we could get through it together. Everything was fine until the end of the Episode which we completed. Then my Son gets a letter from the Order of Secrets and I get one from the Vigil. Now like I said, I could have sworn I had picked the Order of Whispers (6 months previously), yet when I looked back over my storyline (I think it was episode 4) had all change to the Vigil. Everything was exactly the same as my Son's up till then. Has this ever happened to anyone else. Some additional info, I have 10 charactors 5 Charr, 4 Asura and 1 Sylvari. I have pretty much done every storyline variation there is among the Charr and find that I like the Order of Whispers line the best ( I love the charactor Tybalt). So has this happened to anyone else. Especially players who have run more than one story line of the same race. I wish I had looked at the story line before my son had started playing to make sure everthing matched exactly. Did I actually go with the Vigil and somehow the story lines overlapped. I still don't know how I did Order of whispers episodes WITHOUT my sons influence on the storyline ( I think it was only two of them after the Devourer).
  5. Still problems. I upgraded the account to include HoT and PoF and still can not sell at the Black Lion Trading company. It is still locked.
  6. I let my son have one of my old free Guild Wars 2 accounts from 2 years ago so that we both could be on the same server (Fort Aspenwood). He has a level 16 Charr hunter. When we both go to the Black Lion Trading company to sell his items, all items are locked except crafting materials. Everything that he trys to sell says it need verification and must wait 4 days. The account is 2 years old and has been verified with the SMS verification. Is this all happening because he is playing on a free account? I kind of sold him on the game being free with very little restrictions because he wanted to go back to WoW. Now he's harrassing me because the game isn't really free because the auction house is blocked unless you buy an expansion.
  7. One thing I forgot to mention, I did not use the crating guides. though they seem to be best for doing it for the lowest cost. I always hate the "craft 15 of this or make 10 of that" routine. I just used the good ol' GW2 wiki to see what items could be crafted at what level and did only the discoverables.
  8. I have four level 400 crafters (Chef, Jeweler, Weaponsmith and Huntsman) and plan to do all the crafts to 400. I have never had to grind any of them so far (unless you consider the backpacks as grinding). They were all done with discoveries. I have never made more than one item unless I needed it for another recipe. I find this method to use the least amount of materials that I need. Now as you can see three of the crafts that I have done so far are crafts that can be done by just farming nodes (Jeweler, Chef, and Weaponsmith), so I have spent quite a bit of time running around low level areas to start them off. The Huntsman uses a lot of wood and leather as a substitute for cloth/fabric (jute) intensive recipes. I am saving for last the tailor profession just because the raw material (jute/fabric) is the hardest to come by and can only be had by kills. It is also the craft that uses the most of just one raw material (cloth/fabric). So I only have two pieces of advice. First, start with crafts that don't need a vast amount of one raw material unless that material can be found in nodes. and second, only do discoveries.
  9. I know every class gets a heal but what class heals themselves the best with skills other then the healing skill?
  10. Just tonight I found out that you can hit the “V” key instead of holding down spacebar to make your springer mount jump. This will also give you a quicker way to start the build up of your springer mount because it will do it even when running.
  11. So your saying I can go up both elite trees at the same time? I just have to start putting points in the other elite specialization.
  12. I just learned yesterday that you can put a personal waypoint on the mini map also.
  13. Once you pick your elite specialization at level 80, and after trying it for awhile you don't like the play style, are you stuck with it until completion of that elite spec or can you at least start the other elite and go that route? As an example, I started a Renegade with my Revenant because I like using the bow, but after playing it a bit I think I might like Herald better. Am I stuck with Renegade until I complete the elite tree or can I start a Herald?
