  1. Please bring the Imperial Favor currency to the Tyrian Exchange Voucher. Any amount would be more than welcome and I believe now's the right time to do it as we moved on to SOTO as 'current content'.
  2. Can we please see Imperial Favor currency being added to 'Tyrian Exchange Vouchers'?
  3. Yes I've just experienced the same in Queen's Gauntlet. The moment i start charging F2, it switches back to my axe/pistol. After charging it all the way up and hitting 1, it just uses regular auto attacks.
  4. Does anyone know if there are any plans to add Imperial Favor currency to the Tyrian Exchange Vouchers we get from BL chests?
  5. This is getting ridiculous at this point. I could understand the frustration over Dragon's End meta as it did high rate of failure, but strikes? C'mon. The new ones dont even have a timer, you could literally bring 9 healers so you can eat every mechanic bosses throw at you and still succeed to complete it. I'm not even joking, make lfg for 9 healscourges and you'll do it in like 20-25mins or so.
  6. I've literally stated in some of the previous posts that I'm indeed affected by the change as I've played miralac a lot lately. The idea of the initial post is to try to reduce the tension and try to relax you guys a bit but it seems that there's no way of communicating here if you have a different type of the opinion. I'll take advice from the person above and let you stay in your closed-minded circle of entitlement and leave you be. Hope you all get your class fixed on the 5th. Farewell.
  7. Of course, thats why I said it might be the option. Hence why I got a tad bit more of understanding why its taking so long. Its sort of a subjective matter. Didn't someone in conversation already stated that they got the answer on the ticket saying that its not an intended behavior of the skill? I mean, there's a lot of bug posts in this section and I honestly didn't see they address every single one of them through a reply. Again, I understand that its frustrating for you, just not understanding the expectations here honestly. 😕
  8. Eh I understand where you're coming from with this but when I look at these 2 bugs, it kinda seems like the one on mesmer is far more complicated. Besides, who knows if the same people work on fixes for all classes and stuff, we cant really know how they organize stuff. *shrug* Also, coming from someone working in IT, some bugs (such as the one you linked) can be found even before the patch actually hits live servers, but the team decides that they go with the patch and continue working on it if its a small change - then add it later. This could really be one of those cases. I'm ofc, not saying that its surely that, just implying that there might be a reason why we saw that fix and not the mesmer one! 🙂
  9. You are right about the part me not playing mesmer enough. It is not my main class but I do play it, i would say, rather often. Tank/dps/alac spec, all of them. And yes, I've noticed this bug from the first day it came up as I started loving miralac in both raids and fractals but I do believe that they will fix it soon enough when they get a chance. However, I did notice that up to recently mesmer, in one way or another was pretty much in every meta we had up to now. Being a tank/damage/support w/e you wish to call it, its been there. Sometimes undertuned, sometimes overtuned. But its like that with most of the classes (excluding guardian ofc lol. ) And even now that it fell out of meta, firebrand taking its place, they gave it alacrity so it can still be used. I really dont understand your frustration about the treatment of the class really, but I guess its just a personal preference of some sort. Saying that something gamechanging as the dx update is not enough of an excuse and is not important kinda makes me think that you dont care about the prosperity of the game but rather only about 'your class' being right. Not just few people had a lot of issues on dx9, crashing here and there even when they opted out of dx11 beta. This is not some minor change devs can simply ignore. I've brought up my point of view on the matter as I've seen the post popping up constantly. The point of the forums is to create new conversations on the matter, not shut down those who you disagree with. Thats all I'm gonna say 🙂
  10. Relax a bit guys. I really dont understand why are you so fired up about this. Yes, it is sorta frustrating but you gotta keep in mind that they released a huge dx patch that caused a lot of issues as well. I really think that gamebreaking bugs such as 'not being able to start the game' or 'not being able to login' or 'my game freezes if i play it for 15 mins' has much bigger priority compared to one build on one spec on one class. (I'm not saying there's no impact, its just that its way lower compared to the issues they have with dx). On 5th we'll get a patch for Halloween and it will most likely be fixed. Team working on tickets that you got reply from is most likely not the same team keeping the forums updated. Saying things like 'oh cmon this is not that hard to say' is kinda low and i find it rather annoying (much more than the bug itself tbh). P.S. I really dont understand how can anyone think that this is 'intended change' after they literally added a circle around your character after you cast the Chaos Vortex implying that boons should be spread there. Even if the skill is bugged, you can pretty much see the circle *AROUND YOU* (not the target). Honestly guys, relax a bit.
  11. Been working completely fine until earlier today (about 4-5 hrs ago). Ever since then the game freezes whenever I try using a skill anywhere. Sound can still be heard as everything's working properly. No addons.
  12. Yep they definitely gotta be careful with it. Otherwise some specs might turn into a next firebrand hehe. Though we did see them make hard nerfs (boon thief, condi quick firebrand...) and some neat buffs (alac mirage recently) when things get out of hand. I think it's overall in good hands 🙂
  13. I think they said that they already crafted it later in the replies, and that the purpose of this was for the players that dont currently have the lege gear. I don't think its one of those 'crying' sort of posts.
  14. Yes, I'm not saying that the numbers are not impacting the gameplay at all (hence why I somewhat agreed above) but the numbers are far less hard to tweak than the design itself. If catalyst, lets say, lack damage to actually be competitive with other classes in terms of damage - it can be tweaked on a patch level. But if its not fun or it mechanically doesn't feel right - that needs to be changed before expac release. Speaking of ele - heard a lot of people saying that they would like to be able to prepare and charge F5 before getting in the fight - thats a mechanic change. Make the bar more visible - also mechanic change. Hope that clears out what I deem more worth during the beta period. All this is ofc pretty subjective matter.
  15. Didn't get a chance to run through all of the stuff that people posted so sorry if i repeat some of the stuff. Generally feels like a spec with a nice flow (pun intended). Swapping from gunsaber to dragon trigger feels unique and good as you need to time it properly for full potential. On that note, I would still have some space left to go back to the weapons you actually have equipped. Short cooldown on DT and pretty short refills on the Gunsaber skills kinda make your weapon choice irrelevant. If that was the intention of the spec than by all means, we shall blast away anyway. Another thing I would reaaaally like to see is to lock movement keys after activating dragon triggers. Somewhat similar to the Deadeye kneel stance. Dodging could interrupt the stance (opposite from the kneel stance) but the WASD key shouldnt interrupt the cast. Countless times have i accidentally interrupt my DT charging by pressing one of the movement keys. It just doesnt feel right to 'get your hands off the keyboard' just to prevent acccidental interrupting - especially for a skill that strong.
  16. Generally speaking yes, you could say that they are not mutually exclusive, however, speaking of beta - i think its much more important on how spec feels, the theme, the skills themselves, how they act in open world/pve content/pvp content etc rather than how strong something hits. For example: the new warrior spec -> Does Dragon Trigger feel good, does it lack something, is it boring or is it fun, is it buggy...etc. Those are the questions for beta imo. Should it hit for 480k? Thats a question for balance, but I would consider that balancing something comes only after you nail the design of it.
  17. I consider them to be events where you test the specializations MECHANICALLY. Whether the certain build/class suits you. The numbers have nothing to do with it. I heard someone crying how the torment rune was 'the best' rune for harbinger and it was unavailable. Best for what? Damage? Yes. But damage in beta is highly irrelevant as the numbers can easily be tweaked and nerfed to the ground if necessary. What matters is how the class is played. "Hey these harbinger potions seem boring" - That's a valid beta feedback that they actually need to work on. "I did 50k damage because this rune makes me do so much more" - That's not a valid beta feedback imo. Yes some people were better prepared, some werent, but i think you're presenting it as a far bigger issue than it is. Nobody made the legendary armor 'just for the sake of the beta'. It's convenience. Speaking of inconvenience, I for example, cannot test the new classes in fractals because I'm unable to get any agony infusions on them. Some people can because they knew to prepare those infusions in their bank before the beta hit. Should I be screaming that we need to get a full stack of +9s on next beta? Ofc not. It's beta. It doesn't matter THAT much. Most of the games don't even have stuff like this and all you would usually get is a video preview of a class you might be playing (think about it). That's exactly the point what I'm saying - there's no need to test EVERYTHING you can do with the class. Few builds here and there are quite enough. To quote Rasimir above - you're not even supposed to do that in the beta itself. Don't try to make a meta in the beta (I should save this somewhere as a quote). You got plenty of room to play around (not infinite, but plenty). Obviously I cannot guarantee that it will take too much time but from my point of view it will, here's why. The fact that those items need to be added to the legendary armory makes it so that the armory of that character must remain unrelated to the armory of other characters. Given that the system is rather new and was probably put out just so it can work properly - I would expect it to be some struggle in exceptioning out certain characters out of the 'account-wide-armory'. And as you said, beta access is temporary (basically we'll have like maybe 10 days left total after this one's over) so the effort to fix bugs that come up with such implementation might not be worth. Especially as it's a small percentage of people that would actually go 'all-in' when it comes to theory/build crafting. Most people will create account, swing it few times and leave it be (probably because of being afraid of a precursor dropping on those characters heh 😉). I wouldnt consider any of this an issue if this beta happened pre-armory as the legendary items would be just that - items, not part of any bigger system and so on. So adding-removing them from the account would be far less of a work.
  18. Beta events are not designed to push the benchmarks as further as you can as the numbers will most certainly go down by the time the class is oficially revealed. That being said, I think its pointless to make an additional code changes just so people can have a bit more options while testing 3 classes for less than a week. Especially now that everything legendary is tied to the armory instead of just being an item in your inventory. (many exceptions would have to be made for this rule and most likely too much resources for them to use up right now) I would rather have them put such effort into the expansion itself. Seeing how the skills work and interact with the rest of the world is by far enough for something thats called 'beta'.
  19. Wanted to try out the bladesworn in a bit higher difficulty as I feel like F1-1 will be one-shotting pretty much anything in T1-T2. Not really what I would like to 'get the feel of' if you get me 🙂
  20. yeah unfortunately i didnt have any infusions in the bank at the time, nor I have enough of them to trade with merchants 😕 looks like I'm stuck... bit lame but eh, it is what it is
  21. Im not sure if im missing something but is there a way to get the agony infusions onto your beta characters? TP is not accessible and the bank is not being upated to the current state (even after i remake the character). Is there any other way to get it or are we locked out of fractal T4 testing if we didnt get the infusions in the bank before beta started?
  22. Eh understandable, agreed to disagree on this one. I had quite the opposite experience as I have a feeling that GW2 storytelling kept my interest more compared to the GW1. Revenant is a good example and i completely forgot about that. The whole class has been inserted into the story in an awesome way as it made sense. The reason I would like to see the more lore implementation for specs is because I notice that they are being affected with 'new Cantha'. Harbinger for example seems like its purely made for jade magic tech. So I would personally like more of that. The suggestion of locking it behind an instance or something was purely for the roleplaying purpose as it made more sense. Maybe WvW/PvP content could be divided for that matter as the skills already are? No offense meant at all with that line, its just that there was a huge list of rant-like arguments back there, so I just got the feeling that you're not quite enjoying it but I understand it more now. Same argument for 'why do i have to do it?' could be made for the skill points themselves. If the game requires you to get through the hero points and stuff, why not add a small instance for the lore sake and to make more sense with it. For the sake of the folks who prepare 250 pts in advance, that instance could be on the beginning - you start the spec, do the 10 min instance and unlock it afterwards. I would honestly be fine even with that. Would make the world richer for sure.
  23. After all the stuff you've written here I'm kinda wondering if you're in the proper game to begin with, my friend. I guess it's because you prefer more of the competitive playstyle (you mentioning WvW) but I cant quite understand all the stuff you mentioned. Also, I did mention that it could be in a form of a short instance and skippable afterwards. I never said we need a skyscale-long timegated collection just to unlock the spec. GW2 is heavily lore/story-driven game (shown by their attention to living world seasons compared to the competitive content) so I'm looking from that perspective - it would bring up more flavor and would make specs themselves more 'relatable'.
  24. Considering that the specs are still being tied into the lore of the world we're going in, it would be cool to see another step up from PoF regarding their lore. HoT specs didnt have many ties with the jungle itself which is fine as it was the new system at a time. PoF had a quite nice step up where we could talk to NPCs and learn about the specs (spellbreaker story was one of my favs at a time for sure). Maybe its time for another level? Here's an example that could be cool addition to make the elite spec itself feel more relatable compared to spending 250 pts the moment we hop in the game without ever visiting the place (in this case Cantha) at all. Lock it behind some sort of a 'knowledge-exploration' wall. Lets take the role of a guardian for example, fresh dragonhunter coming to Cantha. Before we can swap to Willbender, it would be nice to have us learn something about Willbenders through the game itself. Books, NPCs, hearts, even instances can explain the story of Willbenders before we're able to master their techniques. (I would dare to say make some collections but I know that some people might see it as 'exhausting'). The lock itself doesnt have to be huge, maybe it can be done in 1 go (in case of the instance) or several tiers (4 perhaps in case there's a mini collection) before we are able to reach that final tear when we can learn all traits/skills. Finally, to ease it up - this progress should be account-wide. If we complete the instance/achievement/collection/whatever we call it on one character - any next character of the same class would have a prompt saying something like 'i already saw this - skip' so we can have that small QoL element in that place.
  25. Tower of Nightmares is brought in through fractal as Ayrilana mentioned above. Story instance of the same place is brought in S5 - You can play it through scrying pool.
