  1. Why would you want an equipment template for your account considering each character already gets 2...extras should also apply to each character as you might not want additional ones for some characters.
  2. Range weapons exist. That would've been why I don't remember them...
  3. I believe you'll just have to be more careful to stay away from the border of the map as anyone that goes outside the instance would be teleported out of the map. Perhaps just ignoring the trebs is a solution?
  4. He was referring to the link at the top of the page that points you to Wiki.
  5. Well, it was based on a request made(by a minority of the minority that post) on the forums, but that wasn't exactly what the person was asking for, it just came out that way from ArenaNet. See above reply for the reason this change was made several years ago, and no one ever said it was new content, it was deemed a way to get players to replay maps again...whether or not it worked I won't comment on since I almost never buy anything from the heart Karma vendors anyways...unless it was a cooking ingredient I needed(that's the most I use them for, on rare occasions they would have something else I needed).
  6. The casuals I know are more than glad to keep it this way. That's what I explained to the OP, you just wanted to reinforce why decay is a bad thing I take it?
  7. he said rare loot drops, not impossible loot drops (for most of the players) there is some player who did Choya pinata after coin event to get infusion since the game released. everytime but he or she never got the infusion, he or she bought it when it was on the trading post. i don't see this as Rare loot.i try sometimes those events for expensive drops but i never get one. so i understand the one that created this topic. my loot is fine, aslong it's not black lion chest related, never get something nice from it. /cry That's the definition of rare though, rare means not everyone will get that drop. As for the OP, you have to identify those UNID drops in order to find out if you get a rare weapon or armor piece. it could still be rare, but obtainable for players who want it. I feel for those who want a Khan Ur infusion. So rare you cant even buy it on the trading post for max gold. Hes right, there's a rarity above rare, and its set aside for infusions and items like the Khan Ur helmet. i personally don't think that's right, if you really desire an item you should be able to farm it eventually, that's not the case in this game where items get so expensive you cant purchase them, or are so rare they drop maybe once a year(for one player out of hundreds of thousands). Its sad that these items get sold on outside auction houses because of the rarity. The problem then is that people don't understand the concept of Diminishing Returns...if you constantly try for the same item day in and day out, your chances diminish until they reach nothing. Best practice is to rotate through the different items so your chance is always 100%, even if that chance is .0001%. .0001% is better than .0000%, not by much, but it's better.
  8. So in your opinion, the option to take 10 times as long to reach "immortal" status for your weapons/armor/what have you vs having to go back and do it again when the item decays is bad. You don't have to rush to reach "end game", there's also nothing stopping people from going back and redoing older content to gather materials, plenty of people in this game constantly return to gather materials, just not to replenish a broken/decayed item...decay is actually the one thing I dislike about FO76. I'd much rather just tromp around the landscape killing enemies and doing events, than having to gather materials to constantly repair my weapons and armor. Let me explain how not having decay eliminates the grind entirely using your example above...once you've taken that 1/10 the time to get a weapon that doesn't decay, whether your a heavy game player or light game player you never have to go back and re-craft said weapon. It also doesn't take 10 times as long to get the weapon in the first place = no grind involved unless you insist on having Ascended or Legendary, neither of which are necessary to play the game...it can all be done with exotics, except higher tier Fractals, even Raids from what I've read on these forums.
  9. It does work that way, you can effectively use higher ground to attack a target that's beyond the listed range, if you can target it first, it also provides a slight increase in damage(unless that's been removed somewhere along the way since release).

  11. In actuality the new LA has more structures than the old LA, it's just that the clustered nature of old LA made it appear to have more structures. As for access, they've stated it's not possible...and I don't see why people liked it more than the current version to be honest. As a trading hub it certainly didn't look or act like one.
  12. Well, I'm home now. Unfortunately, there is no keybind for gliding. And I'm sure the OP would have already looked for such a thing were it the case. :/ So the option would be to unbind the Jump function as Gliding/Jump are tied together on the same key...I used Google search to find this request has been made as far back as 2016, so 4 years later and I doubt if they'll give us the option now.
  13. I'll offer some help, change the key bind for your glider to a different key from the jump key...problem solved.
  14. Screenshots aren't allowed, that's all there is to it...no reason to screenshot something that's already logged in their system.
  15. They must though, other wise you wouldn't see them as part of the Gem Shop sale occurring next month(I have over 2000, all from BLTC).
  16. Still waiting for the original GW1 Druids armor for my Rangers, but this is a nice touch, just might have to get it myself, for reasons.
  17. It was and still is LWS5 The Icebrood Saga, that's the entire official name given during the live stream as shown in the post right above you, by definition a Saga is bigger than a season...the jury is still out on this one though.
  18. There's your first problem right there...using a boost to skip all the early content when building your character...going from 1 - 80 is the place to learn the game, you just skipped it and went right to the end.
  19. The game doesn't dictate the meta, the players dictate the meta only because other players let them...if people actually just played the way they want with the gear they want and stopped listening to everyone else your whole complaint would go out the window. Also see the post from Inculpatus cedo.9234 above about how to change the stats on your Ascended gear without ever berry farming again...and I personally have never berry farmed for my Ascended set(s), I just crafted the armor and weapons that I know my characters needed for my play style. I play how I want with what ever build I want, if the other players don't like it...too bad, they can go play with someone else then.
  20. Obviously it's for those people without the inclination to self administer such restrictions but that still might want to do this sort of thing.
  21. Do Trace route and find out where your packets are getting lost, that's the reason for the DC's, once you know the location of the packet loss then you can go to your ISP and have them fix the issue or re-route your internet around the location of the loss.
  22. Perhaps it's because they congregate were the magic in the world is used the most...which at this point would be the lands we know of, since it was the God(s) that gave magic to humans. It's a question that's been posed in the Lore forums before I believe, same with the map, and That Shaman has a data mined version of the Tyrian World Map somewhere, and if you or the OP or anyone, wants a deep dive into it, Wooden Potatoes(on YouTube) did one ages ago when it was first discovered.
  23. I think the OP didn't know that the Raids already have a checkpoint system and thought you had to clear the thing in one go, not that you had an entire week to clear a wing, which I don't think has been explained very well to the player base. As for the total time, you've sort of confirmed what I've heard since Raids were introduced, unlike other games that could take 3 to 4 hours to complete a Raid, the GW2 ones have been specifically designed to be completed in 60 - 90 minutes total. Might help for some to understand too that the checkpoint system doesn't mean you restart at the last boss you killed, but that you don't have to kill the bosses you already killed when you left the last time, just get to the next boss in the Raid when you start again.
  24. I'm only responding to this line as in my opinion I don't think there's any fun in efficiency in a video game. Unless your on the competitive scene, and by that I mean professional competitive scene(make a living at), not like the GW2 competitive scene then you might want to be efficient to maximize your earnings potential. When you're playing a game for pure entertainment and relaxation purposes, aka fun, there's absolutely no reason to be efficient as you're just trying to "waste" time enjoying a game. People say time is precious, for some yes, but for the vast majority they've got 80 odd years to live, you can afford to "waste" some of that not time being efficient.
  25. I wish I could agree with you. But having played through it, I find that they've left a loose end, of so significant dimensions that it's made everything that followed after it, an absolute anguish to play through. :anguished: Through out all of PoF, I hoped for an explanation. I hoped they would elaborate on this, because it makes no sense that they would do this. At least, not in accordance to the established lore. But it never came, and so, It's become very hard for me to replay PoF... It's a great story... It just lacks that one essential element that binds it all together... The worst part is, they had the chance to deliver it... They just didn't ever mention it... It is as though they had completely forgotten who Balthazar was... And I find that very, very sad... Considering not many of the gw1 vets seem to be left you might not be far from the truth about them not knowing who Balthazar was. That is, sadly, very true. Though I must add that much of the new content is very, very good... I just can't play it with my HoT enthusiasm... (I played through hot more than 30 times, incl full exploration! xD) You're quite wrong on them not explaining why Balthazar went rogue(he didn't lost his mind, he had an agenda to destroy the Elder Dragons and save humanity, the other Gods didn't think it would work since they "lost" once before and banished him, etc., etc.,) they did a nice job of it. As it is evident that you're referring to the Kormirs tale, that explains NOTHING about Balthazars complete and utter personality change. It does not explain why he's unwilling to negotiate with potential allies and it does not tell us why he's willing to sacrifice Tyria to kill the elder dragons. It does not tell us why he's carelessly sacrificing innocent people for his army, and it doesn't inform us why he's turned from Good to Evil. NOTHING he does in this story, is in accordance with the personality they established him to have, in previous lore.So no, they did not do a nice job, at all, at explaining why Balthazar changed so drastically. I mean, it would have been far better if they had killed Balthazar off and had Menzies (the mad) take his place. That would've made far better sense to the story... EDIT: All Kormir is telling us, is what we already knew: He's gone mad and we don't know why and we wont help you. (The "we wont help you" we already knew, because that was the information that the five gave us, in gw1, when we were about to kill Abaddon). Why did balthazar change his mind? In Abaddon's case, he was perfectly fine standing back and doing nothing, telling humanity that we were on our own. What's going on here, makes NO sense at all.How would you act if you were stripped of your power and banished, then someone who didn't know who you were came along and released you? Just because he's a "God" doesn't mean he wouldn't react in human terms, I don't know why some people found it so hard to believe he would do anything he could to regain his lost power to try and destroy all the Elder Dragons that threatened to consume the world as he knew it...tunnel vision can be terrible thing to have when you think in your mind that your doing the right thing. Also, there were still plenty of GW1 vet devs at ArenaNet when PoF was made, including some that had been heavily involved with the original story, and keep in mind all of GW2's story was white boarded before they even started working on the game, so I'm pretty sure the Balthazar track was already a part of the design from the very beginning, just not fleshed out at the time(for those of that remember Joko we knew that at some point we were going back to Elona to take care of him).
