  1. This is a 'chair' request. I like to put my characters 'to sleep' in comfortable places. The hammock is a brilliant addition, because now I do not need to exit a map, but just find a quiet spot. What would be an absolute dream, would be to have a tent and camping mat/bed, so when you select the 'chair' you go to sleep in your tent on your mat/bed. You could create basic and glamping versions. I have no idea how technically difficult it would be to create something like that (could be fun to design), but it would be awesome to have something a bit more covered for the comfort of my pixel dolls. ❤️ 😄 A QOL - it would be great if the materials storage included spaces for Koda's Blossom Petal, Krytan Spiderwort Bloom, Ascalonian Royal Iris, and Shing Jea Orchid Petals. 🙂
  2. Your post was an expression of how you felt in the moment and I think it is a helpful learning experience for all, if we choose to view it as such. Thank you for being so open and sharing your thoughts.
  3. So sorry that happened to you OP...it can be very disheartening when one bumps into territorial players. On the odd occasion where I am abused by player who resents my presence, I use my block and continue on my merry way. Generally speaking, the community, particularly in EU, is pretty darn cool. This is from an American living in the UK. In the meantime, you keep doing you. 🙂
  4. Have asked this before, but will ask again. Inventory storage slots for all crafting items. For example, the following do not currently have dedicated inventory storage, but instead take up bank slots: the four flowers used in crafting metabolic and utility primers Wintersday gifts I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones that come to mind initially. Thank you.
  5. TL:DR - The GW2 wiki has a page on fishing, well worth a read as this may answer questions - wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fishing. There are also links at the bottom of the page that discuss individual elements in greater detail: Bait, Fishing Power, List of Fish, Lure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I quite like the fishing - it would have been helpful to have 'tool tips' or tutorial the first time you equip your fishing pole though, because figuring it out can be a little frustrating when you don't know where to look. For those still struggling with fishing and haven't read the previous 6-7 pages...this is not exhaustive, but will hopefully help. Open your hero panel, then Fishing. In the equipment panes, at the top should be the fishing rod you equipped. Under the fishing rod are equipment panes for bait and lure. Baits and lure give fishing power. I'm doing this from memory, so no doubt I will miss something. Fishing: once you have a fish on the line, you should see the bobber bouncing furiously and a pink exclamation! symbol appear over your character head. Sometimes, as I experienced last night, the ! does not appear or I'm in an area where I can't zoom my camera out - so I had to rely on observing bobber motion. Press 1 to hook the fish when the bobber/! appear. A window with a slider will appear in the centre and over your profession action bar - I call this the 'fight bar'. Just under the left side of the 'fight bar' there is a coloured circle with a hook in it - a stoplight system displaying fishing power: Red - your fishing power is too low for the area, and you are very unlikely to catch any fish Amber - your fishing power is low, but you might manage to catch a fish Green - your fishing power is good and you have a high chance of catching a fish. You need to press the corresponding keys for the right and left motion to keep the fish bar in the slider. It is much easier to use the keyboard rather than mouse for this - at least for me, as my reaction times are not the best. Pay attention to the bait you use in the different areas. If your fishing power is green, but you are only catching weeds, you may not be using the right bait for the area. Open up the fishing achievement panel for the area you are fishing in, hover your cursor over the fish you want to catch. This will display the location, time of day, and favoured bait. wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bait has a list of bait and wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_Fish provides interactive and detailed information. There are food buffs that provide extra fishing power - I don't know if vendors sell them, but they can be crafted if you've got a chef, or you can buy them from the trading post. If you've got an artificer, make some Metabolic Primer and take it before consuming food - it will increase the buff duration to 2 hours. Lures - these can be purchased from Fishing Supply vendors. These are a consumable and provide a fishing power buff. Bait - provides a fishing power buff. If you are catching nothing or grey items, check your lure or bait has not run out.
  6. LFG was a bit tricky earlier this evening, people selling runs for over 300 mystic coins and such, others requiring KP or LI. I lucked out and got a comm a couple of hours later who was leading for the first time - just wanted to know what we were running so they could organise the groups. Comm explained the fight nicely. Failed the first try because the sniper bugged. Retried with 2 new folks and got the job done. All in, less than an hour. Lotta moving around and have to really pay attention to the AOE, where you run so as not to kill your team, but otherwise, not massively difficult. There are videos that give an overview of the fight so you can go in knowing roughly what to expect. It is a fun fight - not at all a tank and spank - and you can see where Anet were going with forcing players to do some work (individual AOE fields that you need to spread out so as to not overlap and kill each other) instead of stacking, boom, done. Quite enjoyed it. Of course it really helps if you're playing with a chill group, which we were. Initially, I thought it was going to be a nightmare, but in the end it wasn't. With regard to other elements - RNG on meta needs fixing, that is brutal. And the upscaling on Maw also needs some work. I totally lucked out - stayed up past my bedtime and managed to get into a map where the Maw wasn't swarmed by loads of players. Finally have my turtle which makes my completionist brain happy.
  7. Another 4 hours, and zip to show for it. Maws failed due to scaling, Soo Wan failed with organised groups on 2 consecutive runs. I could just buy the egg, but what is the point when I still need a win for the Vindicator thing...not to mention, need the maw for a part. Failing would not be so bad if at least one could earn gold doing events. But not even earning some gold just makes DE a complete waste of time. Update: 22:00 UK time. Lucked out in a major way and finally got the job done. NotOverlyCheesy from Hardstuck was running the map - big shout out to them. Super organised - as in professions were spread between subgroups for optimal boon sharing, heals, cc, and dps, communicative during the run up, with sub-groups matched to Caith, Captain Fa, Navan, and the two mini boss splits. Laid down markers around the islands so groups knew where to go. And took the time to give me a new necro build so I'll be retiring my rev and bringing my scourge back. Now to try and get the rest of the bits and pieces to complete the turtle.
  8. GW2 was imho, about being able to play any profession in any situation. This implies that players sacrifice their idea of fun or face being excluded from content.
  9. Oh the irony...the new Prayer Beads skin on the TP. guildwars2.com/en/news/guide-your-mind-with-prayer-bead-wraps/ Is this so we can pray that RNG favors us with successfully subduing Soo Wan? Or finding a group to do the strike mission who do not demand raid kill proofs (of which I have ZERO), or maps that can successfully take down the Jade Maw and Adolescent Leviathan within the time limits? So many things to 'pray for', yet completing the turtle achievement was marketed as 'easier than the roller beetle'. Easier to whom?
  10. Yeah, may wanna rethink that given the first 'nerf' was to close the wisp phase personal waypoint exploit and later a breakbar exploit.
  11. 2 consecutive fails this evening, added to the 4 previous fails, no gold to show for the 12 hours I put into this meta achievement. I can't imagine how others who are now into dozens of tries must feel if they still haven't got lucky with a successful map. This isn't just about the turtle anymore, it is wanting to see how the meta finishes when it is a win. That, and I need the Vindicator thing... 😣
  12. Sadly, I was on the receiving end of toxic behaviour in both strikes and fractals so I avoid both. Recently, I needed a strike mission to complete a collection and though I told the folks I didn't know the fight, they kicked me before I had a chance to loot the chest, with the 'you don't have alacrity'. Why didn't they kick me at the start rather than straight after we finished the boss?
  13. I took a break after the first three fails - did some reading up on the fight, tweaked my build. Map was on high, had the 10 stacks, all the buffs. Full squad plus others who followed, myself included. Boss spent a lot of time invulnerable with swooping, switching. Tail popped twice. So disappointing. When she did stay for a few seconds, she was going down quick, but then poof, gone again. Think we got her down to 18%. RNG did not favour us today. Please ANET, do something about that. 2 hours gone, and no gold or real loot to show for it either..
  14. Not sure adding more time would be the solution if Soo Won's response/behaviour RNG is the problem - the randomness of invulnerability would just carry on longer - or not - depending on luck.
