  1. Sunqua is 100% a fractal and it can be done quickly with a proper squad comp. For Silent Surf since they are planning on nerfing it and fixing bugs on SotO launch I'm holding judgement on it until then.
  2. I found it. It's called Amplified Siphoning. I guess the trait under it Traversing Dusk is only useful for heal alac while Amplified Siphoning is useful for Alac DPS. I will try that later today, thanks!
  3. I must have been playing my Alac Specter wrong then but how do you handle fights where you don't start with shadow force? It feels bad to me to not be able to give alac at the start of those fights.
  4. I could if work and life priorities didn't take up the majority of my time. I barely have enough time to get on to lead once a week.
  5. From my experiences of leading training and Semi-Exp runs with Emboldened raids specifically it has been successful. The players were able to focus on the important parts of the raids which was the mechanics, get some practices in while still feeling like they are improving (even if the emboldened stacks is helping increase their dps/healing), and they have been more eager in jumping into other raids. The one thing that I think the system can improve on is allowing players to select specific bosses that they want to fight for practice. There has been times when I post in LFG looking to buy instances and it would sometimes take a long while to get one which cuts into the time of leading these runs.

I always thought Strikes was a stepping stone to raids where the Non-CMs are easier than raids but they would help the group understand the importance of proper squad comps and mechanics that you would see in raids. But yes I do want to see them add a Wing 8. Maybe the estate in the south part of Cantha would be a good candidate or go back to The Deep/Urgoz's Warren. From GW1.
  7. I do think having a queue system for LFG would be nice, but having one where you're queueing for a dps quick/dps alac/heal quick/heal alac/specific roles sounds a bit complicating. One queue system that I thought of would be to let a player queue for a raid wing/specific raid boss/specific strike boss/specific fractal etc that they want to do. Then when someone puts up a LFG for what you're looking for a window would appear saying that a LFG is available and you can read their description to see whether you want to join because you meet their requirement, or ignore it, or keep queueing until the description changes or another LFG post appears. This way they don't have to add extra options to both the LFG and queue system for each of the unique builds and unique roles, even though that worked out for FFXIV and it probably wouldn't be that bad to be honest.
  8. Hey, I'm currently looking to join a static that is learning HTCM and working towards getting the Voidwalker title. I have defeated Kralk on a pdps Mech but I'm also comfortable on these builds: DPS Specter Alac Specter pAlac Mech DPS Quick Herald I'm only available on both Wednesday and Thursday from Reset-2 to Reset+3 Thanks, Kantharr.2308

It depends on different parameters like type of instanced content (raids, strikes, fractals), whether you're doing CM or non CM, what mechanics you're going to deal with, etc. Here's a couple of good rule of thumbs that I follow for the majority of content: 1. DPS for non healers should be at least 10K for non CM content (since CM content have higher skill checks). 2. Regular DPS players should be doing higher DPS than the DPS Support players (since DPS supports are sacrificing some of their dmg for boon durations, though this is different for some specific builds) What's more important than DPS though is knowing the mechanics and not failing those because failing mechanics or dying because of mechanics means lower DPS.

  12. I'm honestly hoping that Togo's Estate will be w8. Imagine having Master Togo's spirit guiding you through it.
  13. I bet/hope this is what the company is going to try to do in the future. Underwater combat does need a good amount of rework since some classes/specs are useless underwater (ex. Mechanist) while others work okay/decent (ex. Virtuoso & Deadeye).
  14. What they could do (which is not 100% foolproof) is have an auto translate feature so anyone not speaking your language would automatically translate to your language when you see it. Other than that yes, please segregate the Alliances by language.
  15. The only thing that I think Anet could have done better is display a huge message as soon as the player login saying "We would love to have you test the WvW World Restructuring Beta! Please go and select a guild for WvW." If the player is still confused then that's on them.
  16. When EoD was coming out I was hoping for Thief to get a Greatsword and call them Shinobi but sadly it was given to the Revenant. I think Sword/Sword would be pretty cool but I would personally want to see Thief get a Mace. Stealth up behind your enemies and knock them out with a blunt object.
  17. I love the thief changes but you guys do need to fix the issue with venoms not working in Harvest Temple against the Dragonvoid bosses and other places like Raids. There was a list posted on Reddit and in this forum of where venoms do not work.
  18. In my "recent" experience Heal Quick has been tough to find. I guess because players are wanting to play Heal Alac more instead.
  19. I agree that AR should be reworked (not removed) into an account wide stat like magic find, but I've heard many arguments that says it would ruin the economy. Hypothetically, if AR was reworked into an account wide stat then what would happen to the special infusions that gives unique looks AND small combat stat bonus? Should we be able to add those to account wardrobe? Should the AR part of it get removed so you would just be slotting in infusions for the stats & looks?
  20. Since LI is becoming a currency they now need to add something to the merchant that we can spend our extra LIs on.
  21. I know that they said some prestige achievements would be locked out if you turn Emboldened mode on but has anyone confirmed whether this includes the Envoy & Coalescence achievements?
  22. It's nice to see that they provided difficult content that is stumping the pros real hard. Last time I've heard this was happening was when Dhuum CM came out. It's been fun watching SC, Hs, and other guilds trying to clear it when I don't have time to attempt it myself.

It would be nice for them to improve the existing dungeons but other than that I like the progression that they have towards end game content, even if it's not explained well: Dungeons -> Fractals ‐> Strikes -> Raids. I wasn't going to try to shoe horn DRMs in there because they are super easy. Maybe DRMs would be inbetween Dungeons & Fractals?
  24. They could of chosen anything else for the offensive potion but instead they chose vitality. Why not let it give Ferocity instead since that's more of an offensive stat than vitality?
