  1. Imagine the spam and garbage fest... I guess I'll pass.
  2. I named my thief/soon to be deadeye "Eoghan of the Shade" as he is likely going to strike a lot from stealth, has awakened during nighttime and Eoghan means "born of the yew", which I supposed to fit a planty race quite nicely. Some pages on Sylvari lore tell that they can have sort of surnames by referring to a feat which makes them special or merely their "job" before becoming the commander. For example, if you plan to play a healing water Ele, call her "Lerin the Healer" or "Mender Lerin". Regarding her birth cycle, call her "Lerin of the Dusk" or "Lerin of the Twilight". Of course, this is only meant to stimulate your own inspiration. I'm sure within a given time, you'll come up with a nice name. Edit: Give more identity to "some pages":http://altear-rpg.com/?page_id=189
  3. Especially in the heavy department, GW2 would do well to draw some inspiration from a series of games where you need to git gud... dat Alva armor.
  4. Dude, he pretty damn sure already is :#Great job on that, laughed pretty hard at that mustache.
  5. Sure, why would I want to waste any of my 120something transmutation charges? :pOn a more serious note: Some of the outfits look really awesome, but seeing all those royal guards running around (at first I took them to be one person until I saw an Asura running around in it...) make me fear for my individuality. Why bother finding "le" armor combination when we all end up looking the same?Still, dat noble outfit!
  6. I main a human warrior and it feels and looks okay. But then again, I'm planning on making a norn warrior for those sweet, sweet norn cultural heavy armors. So as @Brother.1504 already said, roll both ;)
  7. I knew it! I KNEW IT!!! I tried the JP again with my orange midget of confusion (Asura Mesmer, who would have thought?) and made it almost on the first try!!! What the heck? All the time I put down back-up portals and I guess that reinsurance made all the difference. Y'know, psychology and such... Now I parked the orange midget of confusion up there to give others a lift when in dire need. @Kalendraf.9521 When you're fed up with that JP, give me a PN and I'll see what I can do ;) But if I were you, I would at least give it some more tries. Because as @Grim West.3194 said, it felt really good having conquered that goddamn JP =)
  8. Surely, figuring out which way to go has a big part in this JP. The multiple jumps before the air ship are a part which you just have to get used to. I found to my amazement that I can do them better without 25% speed buff which I normally apply (Warrior's Sprint). So, rifle out, make those hops and GS again. The part below the air ship is really my biggest gripe with the JP. Once you are on top of the "fin" of the air ship, it goes only up. The messiest part is being fired too far by one of those spinning gears and falling to your death. Really makes me headbutting my Laptop. That being said, I'll only do that JP for the legendary collection and then that's it. Luckily, I already got the dive master thingy. P.S.: I found the tutorial by Ayin Maiden to be quite useful. Oh, and patience. Lots of patience.
  9. I did the NSS JP like 5 times now, but this morning, it just didn't work for me. Last time I did it as a sidequest while exploring Gendarran Fields with a leveling char. Funny actually. While there are JPs in this game where you stand on thin air, NSS has some bars or rods or whatever that are literally just 1 pixel in width. Meaning, you are just the tiniest fraction of a pixel too far to any direction, you'll start slipping and falling. It's just so goddamn frustrating. My next step will be to utilize my dust-gathering Mesmer to set up some backup portals in strategic places. After all, it was the very reason I created one (before Mesmer became one-shot-god).
  10. According to the wiki, the problem was "addressed" by adding lots of giants to PoF which seem to count towards that achievement ;)Hope that helps (pretty far downwards):https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Giant
  11. As you SHOULD know what your skills do before you enter combat with them, the idea is actually really good!
  12. As someone who unfortunately missed Season 1, I would be very happy to get the chance to play it.ANet, shut up, make LS1 purchasable and take my money! =) Sadly, I read enough on this forum to know that it's very unlikely. But a man can have hope, I guess.
  13. I have just seen some bandit spirits near the lumberyard. But I am sure they weren't there yesterday. Whoa, thanks for the update!
  14. I think this event does not trigger at the sawmill due to "not finishing" the clear event...I was parked yesterday for almost 2 hours waiting for other events to spawn and nothing! :/ Thanks for the update, buddy! Been through the same, instead the clear event DID finish, but then the bandit ghost event did not start:o FoooOOO, so saAAAAad!
  15. BTW, does the bandit ghost event trigger at the sawmill? The stolen wood thingy was the last on my Cin business list for ages.
  16. What a wonderful episode! I really loved everything about it except for 3 things. First, the meta is the very definition of zergfest, makes my rig go into Super Saiyan mode while maintaining awesome 12 FPS. Perhaps time will dissipate most players and hopefully the meta will still be doable in smaller numbers. Second, while fighting on our side, Scruffy is the god of pushovers, but as soon as we face him, he makes the fight vs Balth seem like a tutorial. Perma-cc-ragdoll-AoE-fest is not exactly fun. At least it was much better than that Caudecus fight, mind you ;) Third: Braham. "Instincts kicked in." Annoying brat. Funny how the Commander leaves it to Rytlock to yell at him. Apart from that, I loved everything. The Story, the Map per se, the locations, the many things related to GW1. Amazon job, thx ANet! =)
  17. I finally made it to play through PoF, which is not due to PoF being unworthy to be played, but due to my limited time. Here goes my feedback:I adore the biggest part of PoF. The mounts, especially their animations, are AWESOME! The maps are so individual and even single maps alter from one extreme to the other (Desert Highlands). The Story was a little too dramatic and generic in my opinion, but then again it's not like MMOs in general are uber-story games, right? So that's barely a drawback for me. BUT: After having finished the story and completed all the maps, I notice that I have all my masteries (except for Griffon) maxed... from one playthrough! In contrast, I still work on those HoT tier 6 masteries... so I would say that PoF masteries "master" a little too fast. I know, I know, you (ANet) got a lot of criticism from crybabies that the HoT masteries take muuuuuch too long (IMHO that's okay as they're called masteries and not lemmehandthistoyoufordoingnothing's), but at least there was and still is a reason to come back to Heart of Maguuma. Without the addition of some metas or other "fillers", I'm afraid that PoF maps will be pretty empty soon, which I would hate to see as a): I love the maps and b): I still have to do most of the griffon collection and soloing a legendary bounty is a task I feel a little underprepared to do. Yet B) TL;DR:Thank you ANet for this amazing expansion! Maybe in the third Expansion, the mastery xp scale will be between PoF and HoT, that should make most people happy.Do count me as a happy customer =)
