  1. As of 3/28/2024, with the most recent game update, I was having difficulties advancing my necro through the Artisan of Arms achievement. [..stuff deleted...] After talking with other players, it was pilot error. Apologies for the post, which I don't know how to delete.
  2. At this point the odds are that I'm favoring the right mouse button too much; avoiding the button altogether would certainly be a workaround, but not a good one. The above posts made me consider other things that might be factors. I'm skeptical, but here they are: 1. My cursor contrast is set to "low" and that changes the sweet spot of the pointer. Changing it back to the default has not (yet) helped. 2. I have a 32" 2K monitor. Tinkering with the in-game screen size (assuming that is "lowering your DPI") hasn't yet helped any, but I'll keep trying. I was told by a couple of players that: (a) in spite of what Anet support says, Anet developers rarely pay attention to these forums. I hope that's not true. (b) if a couple of players reply "it's never been a problem for me" that signals Anet to believe it's not a problem.. I hope that's not true.
  3. Anet support recommended using this forum, since they do not have the ability to make adjustments/changes to the game. My request is to provide a way for me to: - disable/enable/toggle the engineer's mech-rename function, or - redefine the control sequence for this rename function Currently, a right-mouse-click over the F4 icon (for the mech) displays the rename window (in the middle of my screen). I rely heavily on the right-mouse button (and middle finger) for positioning/control of my characters. My mouse cursor is usually close to the bottom-middle of the screen as I move them around, and I often inadvertently activate the mech-rename window. It's annoying, especially in situations with constant movement. Alternative solutions might include getting a mouse with less sensitive buttons, or retraining (or removing?) my middle finger. I'd much prefer an option from my request, above. Thanks for your consideration.
  4. It's September 7. I did the event twice again today, still don't have credit. Neither does my wife, who has done this event more times than me. PLEASE fix this.
  5. Anyone know whether some variant of Bayesian logic is used to alter the probability of getting this thing?
  6. I've been after the Astrolabe for what seems forever. It's also my last item to get. If the drops are indeed truly random, the implication is that I might never get it. I haven't tried coastal waters yet because they weren't listed on the wiki; won't hurt to try. If others can remember where they got this item, please let us know. I've most recently been in Istan (celestial events, ergo celestial junk?), without success.
  7. Maybe some smart person can link this note chain to the other one(s) about "Kodan Claw" being broken. My wife and I did manage to find a map with the event in progress, and were able to complete "The Hunt." Those with more patience might want to wait until Tuesday's release, in any event. Good luck, indeed!
  8. We stumbled into a map, literally just now, that had the event in progress, and managed to finish. So if you can't wait until the Tuesday release, keep trying, and good luck!
  9. If they choose not to fix this event chain (any time soon), how might I petition them to provide me (and spouse) the "Chuka and Champawat I: The Hunt" achievement, since this is the last event chain we need to complete the achievement? Would the devs (or whoever) be willing to work with us on this?
  10. My wife and I are both having the same issue. It's painful to stay in the area for a couple of hours, failing in our attempts to make the events happen.
