  1. It's criminal that this game has so little in the ways of pvp with such an amazing combat system. WvW is a great concept, but doesnt scratch that open world itch. EotM and Obsidian sanctum both have an arena clearly made for fights, but since you are hard-bound to one of three teams it makes fighting a friend on the same server as you a chore, especially now - you can't really have an accurate fight since pvp/wvw/pve have separate skill stats. An FFA area / mode would be nice. Or, you know, implementing dueling. Open world pvp (a server dedicated to it) would be a godsend to me and would change the whole dynamics of the game. Or even the ability to become pk flaggable like mmos of old. Sitting around as a non-pk player and watching two player-killers in open world suddenly get in a fight was always entertaining. I know a few friends who would be very interested in GW2 if it had a open world pvp server.

I believe the only way to solve zerging / blobs would be to implement player collision so things like choke points would actually be choke points. And no, a player doesn't have to be a immoveable object. There are many effective ways this could be implemented, for example; being able to slowly push people around.
  3. Looking at the OP, this looks like an overall slowdown in the pace of combat. That is excellent. I miss the calculated fights I used to have with others pre-hot.
  4. A dedicated open world PVP server. I know it won't happen (and some people want to murder you for even mentioning such a thing for some reason?) but this would absolutely change the whole dynamic of the game for me. WvW and PVP doesn't cut it, those are completely different things all together.
  5. Pre-HoT for me. PvP / WvW fights were much more calculated and slower paced then. Now it's whoever can puke out the most aegis/blind/cleanse/aoe etc.
  6. Seeing as DirectX 9 was released back in 2002 for Windows 98 - xp, I think a new game with an updated engine based off of dx11/12/Vulkan would be amazing. Every time I play another mmo and come back to GW2 I am just appalled by how poor the game runs.
  7. One thing that always kept me away from Warrior Rifle was the lack of projectile falloff at the end of its range (The shot just disappears at the end of its described range). That little extra you can get from a bow makes such a difference!
  8. Haha that's what I was thinking. "Why is engie so high? Oh, right, elite specs exist"
