Funny enough a flock of crows is known as a murder. A name given to these creatures because they were once thought of as omens of death, scavenging for food where there were dead bodies.

Among the oldest species to exist on earth we find the Horseshoe crab. This creature has been around for more than 300 million years. That is longer than the dinosaurs had time to roam the earth. Although they resemble prehistoric crabs they are genetically closer to spiders and scorpions.

Aside from surviving 6 to 10 years on a full stomach the Olm is also able to live to a 100. They diverged from the other amphibians around 110 million years ago. That's around the same time when modern birds emerged.

If you think the metabolism of the scorpion was impressive let me introduce you to the Olm. The olm (Proteus anguinus) is an aquatic salamander found in Europe. It lives exclusively in caves is blind and has the astonishing ability to lower its metabolism to such a degree that it can survive 6 to 10 years on a full stomach.

Interestingly scorpions can slow down their metabolism considerably. This allows them to survive an entire year on one lunch.

Fun fact, scorpions will glow under a UV light. The glow is caused by an unidentified substance in a thin layer of their skin.

Alright, I'm going to assume you landed here because just like me you got stuck on this achievement. I just completed it on a Scourge in viper gear. I had tried for hours to play nice with the mechanic with no luck. The way I managed to do this achievement was just to blast everything I had on cooldown ignoring the intended mechanic of the fight. Maybe it helps whoever lands here through a google search. God Speed. 🙂

So I've attempted this several times over the course of several days and it's just not working. Support said I'm supposed to get this https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Qualify_for_Intervention effect on me but no such effect is present. It kind of halted my progression. I would be lying if I said I was not a tad frustrated by it. :)

What the title says: I defeated Mai-Trin under 7 minutes and without being downed. I've done it 2 times and both time the achievement did not trigger. Please fix this. :)

Hello everyone, I thought I would write a little post after having been with this guild for 2 months or so. We always see the requests for joining guilds but not a lot of stories from after joining a guild. I think the most important thing to mention is that the people are friendly and always willing to answer questions or help out with an in game activity when possible. There are always members online and playing around the clock. If you enjoy guild activities, the guild organizes a few events each week where you are free to join in on the fun. I was nervous about fractals and a couple of kind souls took some time to run me through them as an introduction. I've also joined a training raid which was a lot of fun and I had a few dungeon runs as well. All of it in a very relaxed atmosphere with room for just being silly and having a good time. There's even a npc hunt where a riddle is posted on discord to see who can find the npc first. For a chance to win a prize. We even had a secret Santa event to share some holiday spirit. I know discord is important for quite a few people these days so I'll close with a few words about that. It's always active and a fun place to hang out. I've had a good amount of silly to interesting conversations. Which is exactly what I enjoy about discord. Hello everyone, So this week I had to contact support to try and recover my old (this) account.After 3 days I received the message that my password had been reset and I was given instructions on how to access my old (this) account.In the last bit of the email it was asked if I needed further assistance, which I did, so I replied to that email directly. Was that a mistake? Would I need to create a new ticket? To make things worse I have a feeling my issue is a little bit time dependant. Before I could restore my old account (6 years + HoM) I thought I lost it forever and created a new account on which I purchased the expansions. After restoring my old account I would like to get those keys refunded or transferred. I'm afraid that by the time support gets back to me I won't be able to get those keys refunded. I'm bit lost to what I'm supposed to do in this situation.
