  1. Idk nerfing FC as it stands wouldn’t justify anything for warrior, warrior already losses access to burst skills outside of combat. And has to fight to get adrenaline back to get things going… I’m no warrior main but I absolutely love staff for support. The point of warrior as it stabds is being able to use abilities in quick succession and any warrior who isn’t quick enough to react to an ever changing fight tends to die. Being able to FC key things is the point of spellbreaker. What would be nice is if it reflects missles or projectiles. While you ask for nerfs, spellbreaker is quite the challenging elite spec to master and comprehend. Compared to some things in the game, and when played support offers some cool fight changing support abilities. And if a player opts into a damage spec while using staff they lose all of its healing for a block and fury and a weird cc. It appears more than balanced at the moment could use buffs

Notes as follows: Mesmer We made some adjustments to mesmer support builds in WvW in the January update, but it's clear that they're still a bit stronger than we'd like them to be, and we're making additional changes to reduce their effectiveness. We've also made some small improvements to power-based mirage builds in PvE. Null Field: Reduced the field duration from 5 seconds to 2 seconds in WvW only. Reduced the number of pulses from 6 to 3 in WvW only. Mantra of Concentration: Increased the cooldown from 15 seconds to 25 seconds in WvW only. Power Break: Reduced the stability duration from 5 seconds to 3 seconds in WvW only... Chaotic Transference: Reduced the shared chaos aura duration from 4 seconds to 2 seconds in WvW only. Temporal Enchanter: This trait no longer increases the duration of glamour skills. Sympathetic Visage: This trait no longer affects nearby allies and only pulls conditions from the player. ————————- nov patch 2023 / June patch 2023 null field: Increased the cooldown from 35 seconds to 45 seconds in WvW - Reduced range from 1,200 to 900. ———————- Feb patch 2023 Temporal Curtain Reduced range from 900 to 600 _________________ I would like to say, we’ve seen some hard nerfs to Support Mesmer this year partly due to commanders abusing mesmers strengths. But after trying so hard to make it a viable option for fights that doesn’t necessarily involve portal stealth gravity wells. You’re leaving support mesmer feeling lack luster. Forcing mesmer-again-to opt into more concentration to keep boons that we provide(which isn’t much), while forcing mesmer to get closer and closer to melee when the class is inherently squishy… Albeit the lovely changes to Mesmer’s Chaos/Inspiration trait lines-allowing Mesmer’s a niche way to participate in fights that adds just the right amount of hysteria and support-making Mesmer an extremely valuable asset to any guild in WvW, these changes push back Mesmer into a weaker position overall. Classes like ele and guardian offer a plethora of ways to support and CC enemies with little to no nerfs to compensate. And if commander mesmer is the issue, just nerf the tankiness of builds like minstrels? Which would bring all support classes in line, Because the difference in builds vs a Mesmer main and a rando commander varies greatly. Mesmer already lacks stability and the only way for a Mesmer to obtain such a boon would be Mantra of Concentration. Increasing the cooldown yet again and lowering the duration of said boons only hurts Mesmer more. In addition to null field’s range already being reduced and the cooldown being extremely high for the utility it offers, it doesn’t seem just. Compared to other classes who offer stability on a lower cooldown and other classes being able to aoe cleanse conditions, on again, a lower cooldown. Now null field pulses less in WvW and lasts for a short duration. It’s becoming a bit much right? Then Mesmer’s ability to aoe shield Ally’s that duration is being reduced to 2 seconds… meanwhile ele aura share is sitting at 4 seconds while still being able to dish out incredible heals as well as guardian. I feel the way Support mesmer was supposed to work, was offer niche boons, strip condis, bolster ally’s with shields while attempting to either A: CC enemy with focus pull/gravity well and have team collapse on targets or B: inspire team with time warp and give shields… either is looking weak now due to the facts listed above and makes it more difficult for Mesmer overall to feel impactful when so much is going on WvW as it is, and the competition isn’t being looked at. Only recently changed Support Mesmer.. something needs to be done.
  3. nailed it on the dot @Chichimec.9364, it’s true, if you’re in a guild the game is very different. There are always people online. roaming is roaming, I know sentry’s and de-stealth towers slow down roaming… people say roaming is dead. Like those people fail to realize that there is massive fights literally on tag because a whole map Q v map Q v map Q is happening at bay smc open field etc. and then complain the game is dead when the map has a QUE. I would like to note that some of these streamers/YouTubers for a very long time were abusing builds that were overpowering a skilled zerker meta with things like tank/condi/healing stats. Albeit they advocated for different builds, once the meta shifts in that different, they are no longer OP. So what do they do? They leave. Funny. There are other video games to play and experience. I always fall back to this one because the gameplay is fluid and other mmo games pvp feels clunky and less interactive. If we’re talking console then that’s a different story
  4. You know you need to change your amulet in pvp to obtain those kind of heals right? It shouldn’t be just standard. Also, entering tome of resolve in conjunction with virtues and honor trait line along with all the condi clear that guardian in general is able to dish out? FB is fine. You can always pick up extra condi clear if you feel the games are turning into condi with sigil on cleansing and changing utility to more condi clear, relics too. Also clutch usage of tome of resolve and a few other abilities can determine if FB is gonna tank/support through the fight to a win. If a self heal is what you need and it’s ok to change your heal for the match; say like shelter or signit another note is you may want to pick up a focus for more ability block. The idea behind mantras was to allow a fluid right without channeling a heal on a low cooldown, I think the balance there is the heal isn’t superior (even with support stats) overpowering options like signit or shelter but everything should be played situationally anyhow.
  5. Well it was, the first day of the winters event. Which is the best time to gamble before trading post prices fluctuate massively. Some items already have reduced in price due to the fact, looking at the music infusion which heavily dropped in price but if obtained is still a good sell including some of the other infusions and drops worth 500g-1kg or more per sell. And as the event continues I foresee some more items dropping in price, because there are quiet a bit of avid gamblers in the game, some of which are extremely wealthy in game and some of them made a killing gambling in game begin to with-myself included-back when dyes were all the rage and we didn’t have an abundance of them to choose from. Anyways, usually you can get away with 50k of said bags/gifts and obtain something that’s worth the payout if not more. With just a mere 10k gifts. I only lost 200g which is not bad, honestly, that can be made back in a matter of seconds when it comes to the TP. But, I will say hopping on the gift buy bulk gambling trend to resell any items opened does a nice payout. But again it is a gamble. There are some gamers with such a massive amount of gold, that I know personally who have gambled like 50k-100k gifts last night and made back 3-6x what they spent. So there’s that. I was unlucky
  6. Honestly they’re in such abundance… So they’re fairly cheap. Buy them in bulk and that’s where the real gold is, but alas it is a gamble. 10 thousand gifts opened and not a even single big ticket item to resell for gold profit. Sadly.. and gambling in game has proved profitable. Just wasn’t my day. Could try your luck? Who knows you could obtain an item worth thousands and resell and get something you really want . 🥶
  7. I did some testing with virt, mirage is way better at outputting boons or even chrono. But if blades you are worried about. Blade of renewal and deceptive evasion will stock your blades along with infinite forge. Food for thought
  8. Having a blast on staff spellbreaker. Obviously, Staff 5 is a little bonkers animation wise, but works as intended. And staff 3 should give all buffs to Ally’s you pass through. Currently if you target an ally with staff 3, it’ll have some odd interactions. In this way if you rush into a fight or a general direction with staff 3 your ally’s still gains the buffs. The fun part about spellbreaker staff support, it offers a block that dazes and marks targets. What would help spellbreaker support without pushing away the boon strip spellbreaker allow spellbreaker players to choose between boon strips and giving aoe stability & prot with their burst skill via traits so say spellbreaker lands a full counter burst, it could instead of cripple, it could aoe heal and give prot. Also allowing the trait shield master to trigger on full counter burst. So say I stand in front of an ally I can reflect projectiles in the same way staff 5 does, maybe within a radius of the spellbreaker. Warrior already has quite a bit to offer in terms of a niche support type. I do agree with a lot of people that support warrior needs a blast field somewhere.. my suggestion is making the staff burst skill be a blast whilst keeping aoe heal it offers your teammates. Just some thoughts..
  9. Been running the build in pvp with power healing stats, honest feedback. First of all would like to say I love that rifle autos can target allies, can we allow staff autos todo the same? So I run rifle on mirage with staff. As the rifle heal on all clones in conjunction with DE in dueling and Self-Deception(over renewing oasis) can be quite the aoe heal. The range of ambush rifle 1 is fine being that in this way it aoe heals whoever is closest to mesmer in general. To which in team fight scenarios, everyone is. Only issue with rifle, from a mesmer main with well over 12k games played, Is simply rifle 5. Remove the portal, make it a larger aoe barrier when casted. I’d take more team fight support than a highly situational ability collapse that will most likely not be used consistently. Makes more sense to increase the radius of the singularity to something like 600. That’s basically it. Rifles kinda neat as support or mage. Chrono or mirage compliment the weapon in general.
  10. Underwhelmed. When I think of rifle and how other classes use the weapon, I think of mobility-CC-long range damage. I was expecting a stun or daze and an ability to blink forward for kite/catch or phase backward. Granting aoe, seems cool, especially in team fight scenarios, but mesmers kit doesn’t necessarily align with support. Slowly we’ve seen a progression of mesmer being able to grant Allie’s boons in various ways over time, opposed to the old heal Allie’s with phantasms that granted regeneration-inspiration trait line, like mantras healing on channel. The idea is there, but mesmer lacks the fundamentals to be considered support. Through time we’ve seen chrono be a powerful weapon and shelter in all kinds of fights. Granting aoe boons(from wells), heals. Weapons like Shield offering various boons based on patch. Not even mentioning core ult time warp, glamours, mantras, the weapon staff in general, chaos vortex etc. The idea for mesmer to support is there but lacks a stronger foundation, to make it pop. Mesmer is a high mobility high damage mage class that utilizes chaos, misdirection and dominates fights when played well. What would give mesmer more “magier” things while leaning into support, is allowing boons granted to self allow it to aoe to Allie’s. Things like mirage cloak ambush ability use granting what is given to mesmer, but also to Allie’s. Things like chrono offering more boons to Allie’s when it shatters, not just quickness or alacrity but also might and fury maybe resistance? A chaos armor. Like for example, bountiful disillusionment could be granting Allie’s all those boons and it’s only to the mesmer currently. I play mesmer zerker, even if I’m support, something as an easy build tab switch for a build I made to lead the team to victory whether that be in pve pvp or WvW setting. Mesmer does offer ways to speed up their team, increase their damage, lock down enemies. And the introduction of relics has opened other ways of adding magier/supporty utility for that team aspect. Being so, I think mesmer could use a mage/support buff, to grant more boons via mirage ambush or chrono or shatters in general since that’s what I see it leaning to. Wouldn’t they compliment the already Implanted idea of granting particular boons to Allie’s, allow mesmer to grant more.

  12. I rewatched the clip a couple times and slowed down the clip, to see what you’re talking about, to my surprise he’s (the warrior) really good. I do know bladesworn has a teleport/blink ability.. But I was just as confused, originally thinking he used his blink ability to get off a crit. But what he really did, was use his slash as intended, to which you reacted perfectly and dodged, but he used his blink as the ability was ending. So he buffered his ability. I do this all the time with pistol stun blink or great sword 2 3 or 5 as mesmer. What makes the play on his end cool, he buffered the end of his slash still stunning you, but to pull it off he would of had to turn the camera/about face 180° to look behind him to get off his blink to buffer the ending stun/damage. So he really did that. A lot of video games have some characters, not all, whose abilities you can buffer with a blink or dash. Which is why I like the chaos of mesmer. Bladesworn showcasing some top tier skill ceiling buffer combos that take skill expression and styling to accomplish. but the animation did go off as intended, just not at the end of his 180° buffer blink 🙃
  13. I want to cover relics, 10v10 maps, 5 man premades for ranked and class swapping. Honestly with the introduction of relics-at first it seemed like a nerf to many builds-in reality, it slowly turned into optimization and allowed niche customizable builds for players and classes to find new ways to shine. I would like to see more relics introduced in the coming patches for more build diversity. On another note, I think bringing a 10v10 map for unranked would be exciting to play. We had it once before and the hotjoin lobby was constantly full. Allowed players to just play and fight for points/kills rather than nodes or objectives. As far as queuing as 5 premades vs 5 randoms that seems abit unfair. Leave that for tournaments and in house scrims. Queuing as 5 won’t leave room for players, new or veteran alike, to shine or grow or learn. If you want to play coordinated 5 mans, play tournaments, where you will find the top players and practice coordinated matches there or in houses. Lastly class swapping, is a great way to change your build before a match or class to combat the fight ahead in any match. If an enemy so happens to go something like 5 necros. And you’re team didn’t change builds or classes to combat that fight that is on you honestly. There are so many ways in pvp to counter said comps especially with coordination or a bit of map awareness breaking up the team by taking and pressuring side nodes for example and rotating and finding valuable fights that will lead the team to victory.

  15. I was a little taken back by the prot removal. But GS ambush buff makes a huge difference. Also sword ambush removing boons is amazing. I think the changes are good once you get used to them.

Hi, three bugs I’ve experienced recently are as follows • When changing through build tabs in a pvp match before match start, occasionally the energy sigils will be changed to intelligence on mesmer and on ele the energy sigils with change to sigil of exposure. Not sure why this happens but it’s happened quite enough times. • When using mesmer blink or elementalist lightening flash. Instead of blinking towards said location, The animation will go off and the ability will go on cooldown. This is without using the blink to tricky locations that the average user does not know blink can hop to. I will use it on even terrain point blank and occasionally the ability will not move me to that location and go on full cooldown. Please fix thank you
  17. Been playing dagger mirage as an interrupt. It works great, but the daze on ambush skill does not always proc domination trait lines such as illusions of vulnerability (give’s vulnerability on interruption) nor does it proc dazzling (which gives vulnerability on daze) still testing to see if it’ll proc traits like furious interruption and superiority complex and ineptitude. It currently procs power block.
  18. Umm wow, that is a lot to take in. First of all, this seems to be talking about mirage in a cele context. Which is fine I suppose. But I too have played mirage in WvW roaming aspect and without the second dodge, mirage has felt really underwhelming. I play from a zerker standpoint, so the plays I make need to be fast and calculated. I play upon the mind games aspect of mesmer leaving my enemy guessing through the chaos created from my shatter storm combos. as far as your other ideas on the rest of mirage kit. IH has always been the way togo but I’ve noticed some huge success using elusive mind vs cele mirages and condi mirages. Very excited that condi mirage is being hit because that was always the original issue. People didn’t have an issue with zerker mirage it was always the condis applied by IH in conjunction with confusion mesmers and the cloaks allowing more IH triggers… As far as dune cloak, this trait is great in theory for domination mirage for boon strip. But it works if you’re in melee and not at ranged, this I will agree needs some kind of aoe range buff. In the sense if you get close enough I can dodge x ability and still get the use of the trait to apply in an area around me even a 300 radius would be ideal. It’s fine if it’s point blank on the mesmers location. The issue I have with it is, when I’m in ranged the trait goes to waste and it gives no value. But curious to see how this trait plays out with our dodge being returned. sand through glass is a just an stun break evade that grants a cloak. It’s great if on staff or like Sw/P & Sc( or axe)/F. But It definitely gets out shined by more outperforming utility that just makes more sense for mesmer overall like illusionary ambush, mantra of concentration, blink, decoy, arcane thievery, mirror images, Signit of midnight, mantra of distraction or resolve. All of these lead to build diversity. And if you ever catch me in a duel or roaming, depending on the situation WvW allows for you to change on the fly and I’m always switching up my utility to combat the next fight and testing out which is good for when. I rarely see the mirage distortion cloak abuse. We’re seeing virtuoso do that. And could see mirage using this tactic but they lose a useful trait in doing so. So we’ll see how that pans out. Mirage utility is pretty good cooldowns.. but mesmer has had some cooldown tweaks which have helped. But the balance team needs todo better in that aspect because it’s forcing mesmer into this state of not being able to keep up with the likes of thieves willbenders engis warriors rangers. Their innate trading aspects on generally low cooldowns allows most of these classes to trade very well in quick succession bursts and have the cool downs to keep the fight going. It takes as of currently some clutch plays on my behalf to come out on top. When mesmers cooldowns are on the high end it forces me and mesmer in general to play to the T or fail. And that adrenaline pumping gameplay is great and all but I think it’s a bit linear compared to the fluidity of say ele or herald. Luckily mesmer has a lot of get out of jail free cards so I guess that’s the trade off? Lastly, mirage heal should be a 20 sec cooldown ngl. Anything above 20 cooldown on heal leads to stagnation and desperation when in duels or fights. You can see the enemy struggling to comeback or survive in a fight especially after eating a huge burst. The only thing left is to try and block invuln and evade any other damage in hopes your 25-30 second heal comes back off cooldown. We need fluidity not clunky, this goes for all classes.
  19. A lot of what you said would be interesting changes. I have gotten used to Master of manipulations giving aegis. Very neat change. It’s fine. And as far as mind stab giving a leap. I like the cripple it gives. Allows for some sticking onto target potential. Just my take on what you proposed.
  20. No yea my old school terrormancer build just got gutted. The idea is to strip boons, convert them into condis. Mainly stability. Since you want that fear chain on lock. As it currently stands you’re forced to change a traitline for path of corruption to strips boons or lose terror trait, which the build revolves around. I’d suggest moving terror to GM and buffing it and moving weakening shroud to master. There will be no reason to go weakening shroud other than to apply bleeding and weakness. Better off changing to lingering curse I guess…
  21. Arcane prowess being changed back to fury is a huge buff to ele all across the board. Lately I’ve been forced to run a rune that grants fury and elemental lockdown just to obtain the boon. This will help ele so much when it comes to getting those crits without forcing ele into the air traitline.
  22. Oh no, mirage had both dodges in pve already. It was PvP and WvW where it had one dodge roll. Basically all games are now going to have two dodges again. Hope that clears up confusion
  23. No yeah, I was grinding for some pieces and infusions in pve awhile back. And pve support mesmer is a little lackluster at the time being. But I will say it is pretty niche, mesmer does still offer great ways to be team supporting while being a major damage dealer. Something i was doing was using the boons given by mirage’s staff chaos vortex to allys and myself. And depending on what boss or enemy npcs we were fighting I’d change between null field, feedback, mantra of concentration and time warp. All of those literally make or break certain fights especially when your team doesn’t have a dedicated support and isn’t very good/pugs. Helped us get through those fights a lot! Hence why mages are good. Add in some concentration infusions with chaos/inspiration traitlines. It’s worked for me.
  24. Judging by the Mesmer balance preview.. Mirage Cloak: This trait no longer reduces the mirage's endurance in PvP and WvW. Mirage most likely is gonna pop off. When coming from a power mesmer perspective, I always enjoyed mirage over chrono. But slowly giving mesmer options for build/specialization diversity has been so nice… when we were once restricted to basically core. I know all the mesmers are gonna rejoice. Mirage offers mobility, sustain and insane mind games. Null Field: Reduced range from 1,200 to 900. Null field range change. I’m asking if the range can stay at 1200 in WvW, to keep the idea of it leaning towards ranged mage. Not really understanding why the range was reduced across all fields of gameplay. I understand most people combo the field with a focus curtain pull. But what about when we combo it with staff or use it on frontline Ally’s who are deep into a fight. The idea is to back line mage. Just a thought…
