  1. 1 - EU 2 - Silent Woods 3 - Stonefall 4 - Weekdays = late evening. Weekends = Morning/Afternoon + Late evening. 5 - Not really noticed 6 - Yes - but I was initially put on a different server to my main Guild and had to request to be moved. 7 - Don't know 8 - Yes 9 - Both felt less enjoayable than before the Beta was enabled... apart from the additional bonus rewards. 10 - Only experience was worse than pre-Beta, apart from the support team who did a great job. 11 - I'm in 3 different WvW guilds. All are EU but in different timezones and with people who work different hours. I'm in the UK. [RUM] play late evenings. [BluB] play late afternoon / early evening at the weekend. [LFG] tend to have more people in WvW late morning and early afternoon. You can only represent 1 Guild in WvW and 'should' get put on the same server as that Guild's members. All 3 of the Guilds I'm in ended up on different servers so, for the duration of the Beta I was unable to join in with 2 of the Guilds I would normally play with. This was a major down-side and, should the Beta setup become permanent I would have to potentially leave 2 Guilds and find new ones on the same server as the third (annoying pain setting up Discord again and getting to know team structures and play-styles). There is no LFG for Guilds geared towards which WvW server they reside on. Being able to switch server only at weekly reset would be enough to probably push me away from WvW content, unless all the Guilds I play with end up on the same server...which is looking unlikely. Main negative impact was on community in my opinion. Finding it much better now the Beta has ended though but I would have to ask... what is it Anet are trying to acheive with the changes? If we know what you're aiming for we can give better feedback on whether you're going in the right direction.
  2. Will make Raids interesting! Reducing the outgoing DPS like this will mean everyone will be faced with the mechanics they previously missed out on by killing the boss faster! Last night was the first time I have seen the Chak meta fail due to low DPS. Plenty of people there so it definitely wasn't a participation issue.
  3. Not really clear how the Wizards Vault works. Is the 1300 AA cap renewed every 28 days? Do I have to spend my AA before the cap is reached each cycle? ..or is it that I just can't own more than 1300 AA and have to spend when I hit this limit to accumulate more? If they changed the Daily Logins to discourage Alt accounts from being used, I'm not sure they acheived the objective. 140AA can be collected from daily login. That equates to 15 MCs/28 days (from the WV). Yeah, we used to get 20 + 55 Laurels +++ but, even at just 15 MCs you'll still pull in 1/3 of the gold value that you did previously. For me (with 30 Alts) 10 minutes per day = 450 MCs/month so, 5 hours effort = 450g or 90g/hr. Still way better than farming at 20g/hr so I won't be giving up my Alts just yet.
  4. Another option for you all guys with Alt accounts (me included).... Park all your Alt accounts at the end of the Kaineng JP for the Jade Runestones. Login daily, hit F, get a JRS + 5AA. Should net 18g/account/28 days (at current rate) + 140 AA. No idea what AA will be worth yet but you'll get 33% of the gold value you were getting, without any effort just from the Runestones. If you come up with any better options, pop 'em in the chat and we'll see how long it takes Anet to nerf them too!
  5. Getting quite heated in here! Lol. At the end of the day, Anet can (and will) change what they want and we will have to live with it. I absolutely love that Rubi reads these threads though, comments occasionally and I'm sure, reports back some of the sentiment to the dev teams. They are listening at least 🙂 So... onto a few facts: (for MC read Mystic Coin) People use Alt accounts to get gold, with less time-effort than farming. I do it myself too. We're exploiting a loop-hole that's been around for a while and that's fine imo. The loop-hole is being closed by Anet and that's also fine... imo 😉 Logging in daily currently gets you MCs and Tx Materials (via Laurels), which we sell to get the gold... easy. Account bound stuff is of no use in gold generation. After SOTO, I'll still have my Alt accounts and I can still play them (or give them away, or sell them) so generally they've done their purpose...no harm done. You will be able to login daily (from 22nd) with an Alt account and get 5 AA... woohoo. No idea what that means yet but it's something. You will be able to buy MCs from the Wizards Vault, using the 5AA you collect each day, or more if you actually do some of the acheivments (as long as your Alt account has a level 80 character). No idea just how many AA you'll need per MC yet though? Each Alt account in use currently pumps 20 MCs into the economy every 28 days, from thin air (along with a whole bunch of Tx Mats). 100,000 accounts would create 2 million MCs monthly!!! The economy is very finely balanced. If the number of MCs added to the economy each month decreases, the price on the TP will go up. The opposite is also possible. If 140 AA (5AA x 28 days ) doesn't buy 20 MCs the price per MC will go up.....unless Anet create another way of adding MCs to the game (which they might?). Tx Mats will be impacted in the same way. There is a possibility that other non-account bound items may be available to purchase with AA that are worth more than MCs to Alt account owners?? In which case, those will be purchased instead and the number of MCs in circulation will still drop (see point above). We have no idea, until after the release, what the impact on the economy will be as there are just too many variables but, if I was a betting man I'd guess that Tx Materials and MCs will go up in price before Anet get the balance right and this opens up opportunity for anyone with the gold to spend right now. Good luck everyone!
  6. As we're now approaching page 22 of this thread 🤪 Gotta say it... GuildWars is awesome, whatever Anet do with it. I've been playing since the release of GW1 18 years ago (and so have many others). The graphics are amazing, the soundtracks are phenomenal and the story and gameplay are thoroughly engaging. For those that get really heated when reading this thread... it's just a game.... chill 😉 Not only is it just a game... it's a FREE game (after you've bought the core). How many other games have been available, truly awesome AND free for 18 years! Do Anet get everything right all of the time... nah, no one does... but they are geting better and the comms is definite improvement on a few years ago. There's always room for more improvement though 😉 As for SOTO... I can't wait. Based on the last 18 years it'll be just as amazing I'm sure. Will everything work perfectly on day 1... I doubt it... but that's what the patches are for. 🤪
  7. I guess the next question for me is related to time-spent vs reward-gained. Doing Daily acheivements to obtain the rewards is fine but, the current Daily Login (for a user that is time poor) takes less than 1 minute each day per account. Total value is probably around 30-33g plus the clovers (per acc). This equates to around 60g/hr which is by far, the best return on effort in the game, what with most farms pulling 20g/hr. If the new system doesn't reward at this level, I guess the next best option for the time-poor is to buy gems (real money) and convert to gold. This will increase ANet's revenue but will also strip Mats and MC's from circulation so I would expect prices to start rocketing very soon!
  8. So... if they remove the Daily Login reward and Daily Acheivements and you're one of those that don't purchase the SOTO expac... Will be interesting to see how ANet introduce new methods for acquiring laurels and mystic coins to the core platform... either that or the maybe the value of MCs will soar beyond the 4g we saw last year? Glad I've been stock-piling them (for now).
  9. I wouldn't necessarily agree with this as nothing is 'free'! Apart from purchasing the extra accounts, setting up the email addresses, setting up the accounts themselves, setting up all the MFA requirements... you then have to login to each account every day. Arenanet have also made this more tricky by adding a time delay for every account logged into from the same IP address. By the time you get to 30 accounts you really need to be switching to a different IP. If you switch on a VPN you'll get a new IP address and then have to deal with MFA requests on all your logins as well adding more delay...unless you run multiple internet connections with static IP addresses (at a cost). So... there's a huge time investment both initially and ongoing for those that go this route. If you then add in time to transfer all the login rewards every 28 days, for 30 accounts you'd be looking at an average of 30 minutes per day of effort (1 minute per account/day to load the screen, click the boxes, transfer the stuff etc) ... and you can't script this stuff... This equates to 14 hours of effort every 28 days across 30 accounts, getting you a reward of 600 MCs plus around 300 of each T6 mat (if you go with heavy laurel bags). Overall return on time investment is around 800g/month - for 14 hours effort each month. Alternatively you could by 3500 Gems and convert them to slightly more gold for around $40 each month. Having said all that though... either option is a better return than farming Drizzlewood for 20g/hr! I guess the overall question is: would you rather spend $40/month on gems or eat up 14 hours of time/month instead? The option is yours but, I guess if you feel your time is worth more than $3/hour then buying gems is the way to go? As for the rest of the post though... I agree... the supply/demand balance is very precarious and Anet need to be very cautious how they implement change... but I guess that's like trying to teach Grandma how to suck eggs 😉
  10. Oddly, I got them off the recs today but not had them for over a week up to now.
  11. Have done around 50 daily recs over the past couple of weeks and not had a single Fractal Research Page drop. I think they're supposed to be a guaranteed drop from daily rec's. Anyone else had this problem?

  13. I've had to use the distance ring module in BlishHUD to create a bright white ring around my character...just so I can see where I'm standing!
  14. If nothing else, it would stop your graphics card going into melt-down! 🤣
