  1. Since todays patch, Continuum Split does not swap over to Continuum Shift anymore for me, meaning you are unable to end it manually. Either someone did an oopsie or im crazy.
  2. Feigned Surge (Spear #2) summons a clone. Im assuming this is unintentional?
  3. I don't feel like anyone has properly responded to/refuted this yet.I agree. Its very obvious when someone knows what they're talking about and when not with Mesmer. I assume most people just dont bother anymore to respond to users who dont understand Mesmer on a fundamental level, because otherwise we'd be here all day. To actually elaborate: Yes, shatters are Mesmers profession mechanic and clones their profession ressource. You "consume" all your ressource on each shatter so, yes, you actually do have to make a decision between damage/cc/defense.Furthermore, yes, "wasting your skills" to essentially reset the profession ressource is indeed a way to counter them. Imagine if you could reset a Warriors adrenalin or Necromancers lifeforce, that is what this is. By destroying clones you cripple a Mesmers offensive and defensive capabilities alike. It doesnt take much effort either, Clones in PvP have like 3k health, which is auto attack levels of damage.
  4. Echo of Memory needs a CD decrease not increase. It was originally put at 35 because there were several traits and skills that would reduce its cooldown, which are all reworked or nerfed now. Also bring back its HoT-Launch property of the cooldown starting as soon as you use the first block and deja vu is still available. Allowing for more flexible use of EoM might help to fill the awkward void left behind by removing distortion.
  5. If we're talking about replacing a shatter, why Diversion/Distortion and not Cry of Frustration? Since thats the condi shatter and Chrono is the power spec anyway with Mirage being the condi one? Both Diversion and Distortion are a vital part of all Mesmer Specs, having their respective use on all of them but F2 on Chrono is a bit more "just a bonus shatter" if F1 is on CD. If we're wanting to replace any shatters that should be the one imo.
  6. Maybe increase the cooldown of elite skills for Chrono by ~100%-150%? You can still cast them every 105 seconds with CS, but you're heavily punished if you use them outside of CS, so you're mostly forced to wait out the 105sec CD for elite skills, even for elite skills that would normally have a lower CD. Like say the new Mass Invi (60s).Or just straight up make it so you can only cast elite skills in CS as Chrono. It would be a unique detriment to playing Chrono and that way you could also equalize the elite skills for Core Mes, Mirage and future Especs (if it ever happens) again, without all of them being pulled down cause of Chronos doublecast. However, like Xstein said, if their goal is to make all 3 specs equally viable, adding a detriment to Chrono is probably not the solution there. Instead give Core Mesmer something that makes it more viable.
  7. I cant really think of a way to give Chrono a tradeoff without destroying the synergy its supposed to have with core skills/traits.So I'd say add an F5 to Core Mes too, just like how they added a new f-skill to Core Revenant.Alternatively, give Core Mesmers shatters some additional effects, similar to how Master of Fragmentation works?
  8. Jackal is mostly an alternative to the Raptor. Both are meant for normal travel across the maps, with the difference that Raptor has high bursts of speed on high cooldown and Jackal low bursts of speed on low cooldown. Jackal also has the added sweets that:1) The dash always travels the same distance, even if you're going up slides/stairs/etc2) It's dash skill can be used midair, allowing for better mobility overall with both "flying" aswell as midair-turns.3) Its dash skill nulls momentum, making it unable to die from fall damageOverall the Raptor is probably slightly faster but the Jackal is much more versatile. To people that have decided on the Jackal as their "regular travel mount" the Raptor probably seems useless. x)
  9. Can we be thankful for what we have for once, instead of complaining everything is kitten all the time. Especially after the rework we just got.
  10. I'd love to have an "additional saddle" purchaseable, which enables another player to hop on to your mount and allows you to carry them around/be carried around.
  11. You need a high ground to fly though and the time you'd take to reach said high ground so you can fly is basically the time you could've used to just cross the map normally. Other than that, the griffon is kind of a jack-of-all-trades-mount. The Griffons Jump->Wingflap->Glide can cross obstacles that other mounts were "designed" for, but it can't do it nearly as good as each individual mount can. If you want to, you can just permanently be on your griffon, yes, but it's your own disadvantage then.
