  1. Since I care about the success of this mount please Anet allow solo players to access the cannons controls! Maybe they just switch seat and they have to be stationary and then go back to driving to recharge the cannons but at least they have all the functions. Also I really hope the turtle mount is really well integrated in EoD gameplay since at the moment other than a nice gimmicky mount I can't see it being too useful.
  2. I was amazed by the siege turtle! I usually play together with my wife so it is great for me but... Is there all that there is? I mean it's a cool mount but we got the skyscale without an expansion and everybody knows that nothing beats the skyscale. Trye you can have fun attacking and I hope the siege turtle becomes an important part of how you play EoD but I'm worried it will not since it will be appreciated only by the people like me that have one other party companion that always shows up. Playing with the turtle also didn't feel it compared to all the options the main mounts from Pof give, and counting that other than this they showed the skiffs and fishing it totally feels too little as a selling point... What are your thoughts? I personally really hope that the story, maps and gameplay in EoD are huge and reeeally well done at this point otherwise I'm not sure I'll enjoy it.
  3. Idk what you are arguing about here... Do you suggest all the critiques about EoD gets to be pooled in one big post when the news come by day by day? So that every topic gets lost in between all the others? It's clear by the reaction on the forums and the chat during the live presentation that there are many people not happy with the color so they are manifesting it through specific posts. Sure the other topics are also important and I agree they make the next expansion less good overall but it doesn't mean we just need to focus on those topics and nothing else. The look of the game is important for some people.
  4. sure, if you don't care about colors lucky you! Some people like to play games that look good instead. As I said it's a weird choice from Anet that doesn't match the original at all and if they messed up something so basic about the lore like the color of the Jade Sea I wonder how much they messed up on the rest...

  6. I understand your point of view. I have a creative job and I pay a lot of attention to shapes and color taste, if something looks off I can't go around it. I started playing gw1 and continued playing gw2 because of the beauty of it other than because I liked the gameplay, the two have to go hand in hand. In this case the green looks bad, will I not play the game because of this? Probably not. Will I avoid the area? Yes. Why? I was expecting more out of Anet sense of taste and respect for the original look

  8. the jade looks right in the keyart Concept art btw while searching for Jade Sea references online I found this guy that actually made some crazy good jade sea textures inspired by gw1 Cool jade textures It would look amazing if it was like this! Please ANet make it like this!

  10. It looked waaay better in the fractal...they just botched the color big time.. I have nothing against making it translucent but all of that saturation is killing my eyes
  11. So I was talking online with a lot of other people that played Gw1 that are not happy about the look of the Jade Sea. To me the green is too saturated and too...GREEN... I watched some videos from gw1 Jade Sea to compare it and it looks way better in color even though the resolution was way lower. I want to see if there are other people that think the same of it. I don't know why they took this direction or if it is some kind of filter they put for the trailers to make it all look super saturated but it just looks too much... It doesn't look like the Jade Sea or even like real Jade so I don't get the point... What do you people think? In a perfect world where Anet could do that would you approve them fixing the look of the Jade of the Sea?
  12. the new jade sea looks terrible....all saturated green...other than killing my eyes it does look nothing like gw1 jade and it doesn't even feel like real jade... I'm really sad to see this...I always expected top level art from Anet....
  13. Mechanist is cool but I wish Anet went full out on the customization of the mech. Like why only the first trait changes the arms? The torso/head and maybe back should change too with the other 2 trait columns. Specter feels fun but I can't see it used much in pve. One target heals are not good for raids and fractals. The Untamed is a nice concept but feels skin deep. The visuals are unrefuned and terrible to look at, it really looks bad and also the veiny look doesn't show up on the pet most of the time...So what is the point? I hope they change the look of it, make it like bark skin or something cool I'm sure they can come up with something better.
  14. The Willbender seem to have a nice in and out of combat set of skills. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be too useful in pve imo. I like the skills mechanics but some animations feel slow and sluggish. The sqord and kick/punch animations need more hit feedback. More punch Also pleeease don't make all the elite specs about martial arts, it's not all the cantha is!
  15. The harbinger felt a little underwhelming. The pistol skills feel dull and uncharacteristic and the elixir skills feel like a cheap and boring option. I would like to see some more different visual feedback when using the pistol and elixirs. It would also help to read the actions of Harbigers in pvp or wvw. The shroud choice of not giving you the panic button is cool but I don't feel the power boost reword feels worth it. At this point it feels squishy for no reason. I don't like the martial arts themed movements since the Willbender already has that feel, it looks like a Harbinger in shroud is another monk spec but one that damages himself to acquire power. Overall I didn't like the look of it but liked the idea of the skills mechanics
  16. I would love a dual dagger option for the Virtuoso. I love the visuals and I hope they will not be culled back for any reason, they are awesome. The elite spec feels so satisfying that it made me think to pick back my Mesmer.
  17. can't agree less... You are wrong and looking at it through rose-colored glasses... they announced things that are sub par to what they made for Hot and Pof. In the first they announced the big and useful feature that is gliding, in the second they added the huge and highly impactful feature that is mounts. In Eod are adding another mount that is just a pimped up mount(still a feature from Pof), fishing and boats one being something that already exists in any other mmo and that only a small part of the community could appreciate but most would ignore, the other is just another mount that looks clunky as hell and we already have a mount for water! So no those are not of the same weight or scope, you can tell yourself whatever you prefer but stop this nonsense, if we are talking about quality the new expansion is not the same. My hope right now is that they are really focusing on story quality and playable content instead...that could make it good
  18. OK OK ... I've heard you, I'm open to say I'm wrong in thinking this is a gloryfied DLC, I hope so much I'm wrong! And if I am at the release I'll write an apology to the Anet team here on the forums, mark my words! But if I'm not.?..🤔
  19. agree 100%. and if this is a marketing strategy,(I think is not) they failed it big time and they now should do damage control. The people that will lose faith now will not listen later... I ave friends that just unfollowed the gw2 facebook page because they don't care anymore after this sneak peak...that's how bad that is...
  20. So lets face it, the "expansion" doesn't feel like it's bringing enough big features to be called that. It's a glorified story DLC. How much do you think would be a price for the content they showed? Did you preorder? Are even planning to? What are your thought on it?
  21. I'ts not the first time Anet fails to deliver, it has been their story from some years now. I broke my vow to not be hyped and started picking up things I thought were hints from Anet about the expansion, but they were not. The outcome of this presentation is so underwelming I wonder if the devs feel ashamed of it... It doesn't even feel like an expansion is coming, I didn't go to the preorder page and I don't think I will...I will wait for it to be super cheap on sale and then it will be worth my 13 euro as a dlc... I don't even understand whom thought that this was a good first peak, without any big features! In Hot we had specializations and gliding, in Pof we had mounts that added more to the game while in this one we got a mount that will change nothing and an activity that I will not take part in and I'm sure that most of the community will ignore too. If fishing, the boat and the mount would be minor features to accompany the big one I would be fine with it but this....this is underwelming
  22. if they wanted us to preorder they should have put all the majour features in the first sneak peak, while there is not even one shot of a tengu in the reveal. That means no Tengu or Largos and what you have seen are the BIG features we will get. Happy? I mean Fishing and boats were a much requested thing...oh yeah and a big mount... This time they really blowed it with the "expansion level" content.

About fishing I'm really worried that Anet thinks it will be something that the whole community will appreciate, while in reality fishing is a niche thing that just a small fraction of the population will enjoy. Sure people will try it out, I tried fishing in every game but it never sticks to me, I prefer going around killing stuff and exploring than spending hours on a boring game of reaction on the spot.
