  3. Survivability mixed with a midlevel sustain, 2-3 hard hitters for the final blow is my War fantasy (A Sandor Clegane(GoT) sort of type as I see it.) - Currently War got none of the 3, with the way it was gutted by the rewamp.
  4. Anets attempt to lur us in to give spvp another try with the rewamp, has failed epicly. SPVP gets less and less fun, and that's despite that I actually think the Rewamp helped. The lack of serious love for spvp is nowhere to be felt or seen on the forums, or with the small updates that has come out - Some thanks to Covid19 for that, but that doesn't change the picture of a big mess of a gamemode. Balance continues to be terrible - It just shifted a bit.Anets communication on the future of SPVP, is also nowhere to be found.Bots, abuse, manipulation and what have we destroys the experience further.I struggle to see how it helps to put in 2v2 and 3v3 seasons when the overall gamemode is such a mess.Duel signup has too big an impact on the games - No? Ask why the "pro"-streamers don't solo quoue then?
  5. Necro CAN BE ok to play against IF they mess up, as a warrior. Otherwise it is beyond a struggle most of the time where you can't really tell what kills you, before you're dead - But conditions are a usually a good guess.

Hello, As much as we all want better classes, and build balance, as much I like to see the PVP team start to look into the SPVP experience as a whole, and not only the balance aspect.Balance cannot stand alone, if the systems around it skewed, and ruins the experience as well. Because of that, I would love to see a few changes. Remember, it is only thoughts, and ideas. Here goes: Duo-queue:This needs to go. This gives a team a too big an advantage, compared to the other team.No, it is not a 5 man pre-made, but it still gives you a significant advantage, which easily enough skews the outcome - Keep Duo-Que and 5 man premades for Tournaments. Class re-rolls before game start:This should go as well, as this also can give an advantage to the team. You can argue that it can help with the balance, which is true, but it can also skew it further, which is more likely to happen since both teams are able to do it. SPVP-Rewards:Grinding for gear has always been a big part of MMOs, but that has usually been a PVE-thing.First and formost, all the Ascended, and Leggy weapons, trinkets and Armor, has no use in SPVP. No use at all - Except for on thing. We get to that in a bit.Because of this fact, people who would rather stay in PVE-Mode, are forced to SPVP which hurts the SPVP-Community, and the SPVP Experience. Matches gets skewed further because of this, and you might as well just toss a coin for the result, as some PVE-players don't care about SPVP at all - Afterall they are only there for as long they grind for there item...Move all Leggy gear to PVE, and WvW where they actaully have an use and impact. Then, you can make Reward-tracks with the one thing the Leggys do bring to SPVP. New Skins.Or Reward track with Resc, gold, tokens for skins. One thing is sure. The Grind for Achievements, ascended and leggy gear does not belong in SPVP. Match-Making Rating:I am not sure where to start, and that is mostly because I am not 100% sure on how it works as it is. However, I do feel that something needs to be done.More often then not, it feels like I am put in matches with people who signed up for SPVP for the first time, and that feeling is the same weather I play Gold or in Silver.Either that comes down to, that there are very few people available for matches at the current time, or people in general, are very very bad.People should not lose points to players who are already brackets or leagues above them, or at least not very many points. Same goes for the other way around, you should not gain 15 points as a Gold player for destroying, a Silver or bronze player. You should get a nice amount for beating players at your same level, and more if they are higher ranked then you. And then one final thing. I would love to see the 6 rewards icons you can earn during matches go as well, or at least change them into something where the players are encouraged to win on map conditions, instead of farming most rewards icons for them self... Bots:Bots are a huge problem in SPVP. They are demoralizing to be on team with, and in some cases play against. Getting on a team with bots can be like playing with one arm on your back. And if that is not the case, the bot performs better then any human is able to. Point being, we play SPVP to play against other players, not a different PVE-mode. Fix it. That was my 2 cents on how to improve the SPVP Experience, and some balancing. Enjoy.
  7. I am not sure how these two quotes makes any sense when measured against one another????? - I mean, they are self contradictory, as I read them. With that said, all classes CAN 1vs1, there is just a fairly large pool of builds that are trash at it. So if you really want to go all in on 1vs1 balance, it requires that all possible builds are balanced towards one another. That will never happen, since it is impossible to do. Just take a look at how the balance has progressed over there years, they haven't been even close to it yet - And no, you're right, they never went all in on trying that. That is because the game, and the different game-modes has been build around Classes/Roles. Even if we imagined they did manage to balance all builds within, lets say 5% difference, then the likely scenario will be a meta where every single match would be 3+ players on each team with that class and build, and that is not healthy for the game either.
  8. Very nice suggestion. Love the diversity it brings. With that said, there must be a maximum to each stat, so you can't put like 3000 points in condi damage. What that limit should be, or if it should be the same for each stat, I don't know.
  9. I doubt anyone wants to nerf Thief into the ground. I love that we actually have a theif class that is good in spvp. However, Theif is to me a +1 class, and not a I can duel-steamroll all other classes. Thieves should have great mobility, and a nice burst DPS. But when you give Theif to much mobility to the point where they can't be caught, or DPSed in the short moment, where you do have them within range, then it quickly becomes a balance issue. Thieves are the decappers, node-stealers, and the sudden burst, when opponents ins low on health. Again. They are not the I can duel them all class, and people forget, or simply don't know, that each classes has a role. We're not all dualists, or bunkers, healers, tops and so on, or all of them in one. In other words. I don't understand why, Thief should excel at other things, then mobility? Stealth is a cool mechanic, and I would like it to stay in the game as well, even though I struggle to play against it. I just don't understand why, in this case thief, should be able to stealth as often as it is able to. :)
  10. I've played 150+ games now, and it happens occasionally that it feels like people plays to win, and actually have an general understanding of the gamemode. However, prolly about 80% of the time, it feels like a coin is tossed for the result. I've lost 9 in a row and won 7, and the rest is all over the place including bots quitters, and 4vs5s. It is super hard playing Warrior, and to win your 1vs1. It's a real struggle, and the times I lose despite me fighting with everything I feel like you, that I simply sucked - Even being insta nuked. I agree we should feel more like a bruiser, instead of another tank build, but lets see what next few patches brings, and especially the next big patch. But again, balancing is not all that needs fixes.
  11. Better. I am far from impresssed at the overall results so far with the patches. The speed has come down, which is good, but some builds are still waaay out of wack, and some new problems has surfaced. But then again, classes/build-balancing is only part of the problem - Bots, MMR, leggy grind/achievements-grind messing up spvp experience, lack of tutorials, introduction, map-understanding, and roll explanation, and more...
  12. warrior has kitten TON of evades, I would not be suprised if warrior had THE MOST evasion out of all classes right now, shoving more into it is stupid.Main warrior problem RN is that prot holo does what warrior does but better in every way from range and aoe, things like perma weakness fr0m LR, necro/holo taking 0 dmg need to be fixed and warrior will be fine. How many is a ton of evades? It might be too much to give Rush an Evade. That's why it was ONLY an IDEA to make up for the random connecting. ;) Then you atleast got something from Rush. ;)
  13. You can have resistance for days on warrior while playing spellbreaker! At the same time you can pack enough punch to rip a hole through everything if you know what to dodge ofc and not just randomly use that rush. -Full counter gives back 3 condis every 12s CD plus an evade and 100% "block"-Berseker stance-Feather grace-Shake it off And you still have "Signet of stamina" and "Mending"/ "Natural Healing" or go crazy with "Defiant Stance", if everything fail ( dunno how ) you can learn to CC/lock necros and & with hammer-mace/shield....what more do you want? And...better stability?..Are you kidding me? Warrior is the only class with pulsing stability as utility Balanced Stance, then you have "Dolyak signet", "Stomp" and then you have the best transform in the game : "rampage" and you want more?....maybe you want to play ele and have a single utility to have stability..... And yes..I do play warrior among other things; don't just try to facetank everything simply because you play a warrior....dodge sometimes You're right. I can have resisstance for days, and Full Counter returns 3 Condis and so on, and so on. I can play less careless, and use Rush and Dodge better. You're right about that too. In fact, your right about everything you point out. You just forgot one small thing... No where in my post do I say, that I want "this" or "that", or want one build to rule them all. All I wrote was thoughts and ideas. That's it. I even started with letting everyone know, I actually feel Warrior is pretty nice as it is. So because you somehow failed to get that from my post, your reply falls short. Sorry. You did complain about condis and I have listed the options available to deal with themNo I did not. I Pointed out that Warrior can't handle teamfights because Resistance and Stability is being stripped from them long before Warrior has an impact on the fight, and because of that, they melt, and should stay away as the 1vs1 class Warrior is.
