There is an issue in the game where story, map completion and overall completed content is reversed. I was able to complete an achievement three times and got credit for it since it kept resetting at reset. "SkyScale Volatile Magic Achievement". I had a Character at 86% map completion and now its down to 3%. Ironically the POF and HOT at the time was all completed and now that is regressing too. Story content is saying its uncompleted and its an issue. Girlfriend started to see this issue as well and she just flat out left the game with her account. Since she has over 20 characters and about half lost most of their map completion. HUGE ISSUE right now and needs to get fixed. Not to mention support said that they could not fix the error since they can't reinstate map completion.

Thanks for all the support in this thread. These bugs are things we have witnessed as a community for years and nothing has nothing happened in terms of mount bug fixes. As a community I love the support and the cohesion this thread has brought and I hope we can see some change. Guild Wars 2 has an amazing mount system, but sadly the bugs makes it very hard to enjoy them. If we can get some help with these bugs Anet that would be amazing! <3

yeah this was one of the issues we addressed in this thread. It is honestly an annoying issue especially when you are scaling a building. Sadly mount bugs have been here for a long time. Hopefully this thread will spark a fix though.

I would love to see more items geared towards what is going on with Living World Seasons Branded or Glint ItemsBow (short or long) - You can have it set up to where the bow will temporarily brand your arm when you have it equipped. Possibly dyable branded types as well. It also shoots branded shards.You can also do it with all other weapon types. ( I wish this was the legendary longbow, but oh well....) Frozen WeaponsWould be cool to see more frozen options. A lot of people in game love elemental type weapons, and currently the frozen weapons we have now are pretty weak. If we could get one that really shows some cool ice effects that would be epic. Plushie Mounts - goes without saying XD Marriage System: Please... I would pay gems for this to be an available option..like a lot of gems if possible. Bladed Mounts- Similar to bladed armor from verdant brink but in mount form. I also forgot to mentionWVW SKINSSeriously we need skins for catapults, rams, ballistas, etc. It would be so freaking amazing! I would love to pay for this sort of thing.Branded SkinsFrozen SkinsGeneral Elemental SkinJade Skins You can also reskin the ammunition fired such as the boulders fired from the catapults when you have the skins there. It would really make WvW pop as a game mode.

yeah a bit frustrating, especially after these bugs have been in game for a long while.

I have seen this issue before as well. There seems to be a camera issue when you mount up sometimes and you lose the ability to maneuver your mount since the camera view is so skewed. For me it mostly occurs when I am on my jackal or my griffin, though I am not surprised that it is happening for the other mounts as well.

Hey thanks for seeing the post. From what I see, no I don't see the issues on there from what I look at. Only reason why I posted this was because many of us in the community have these issues and many of my listed bugs are quite common. Thanks again and please pass this on. I would love to see the mounts fixed cause it's honestly a pain in the game to deal with this. <3

A lot of posts on this, but I will suggest this. Try looking into Requiem armor. This is the armor that got released in Jahai Bluffs and it glows! You can also change the color of the glow and customize the look pretty well with other armor sets. I combined mine with Bladed Armor from Verdant Brink and the Requiem Armor to have a really cool effect. It's worth checking out. ALSO here is a list of armor types that many try forWarbeast ArmorBounty Hunter ArmorBladed ArmorFunerary Armor (not my cup o tea though) If you use the above you can honestly get some good combos. You can get most of these via the desert box which is in PvP and WvW. :+1:

Yeah we know about that, this affects everyone even his allies. So we are having issues with that.

Hi, speaking on behalf of my friend Lyght.2965 since he doesn't use the forums. So when we go to WvW the character models default to the basic human model for enemies, friends, everyone. All areas of the game are unaffected and he is running on a really good computer. We are trying to figure out what is going on. We tried doing autodetect in the graphic options, but that did nothing as well. This has been on ongoing problem for a while and re-log does not work neither does reinstall. Internet connection is good and ping is perfectly fine. If anyone has any suggestions from game devs to community, please send them our way and I will pass them onto Lyght. We have been trying to figure this out. Thanks!

This was an interesting thread to read, and in all honesty I think the reason why fractals are so loved in the community is because they have a tier grouping. So people with low AR can't run with someone with high AR. I kind of like that because they have to work their way up the ladder. Kind of like how PvP doesn't allow people to do ranked matches until they reach rank 20. This is fair and it allows people to understand mechanics so we don't have people showing up with low stats and getting everyone to wipe. I would like to see stuff like a rating system for players. I have been in LFG raids where a newly boosted players will hop into raiding first thing they do and they have no idea how abilities, specs, or mechanics work. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. These rankings will be like WvW in a way so if you are gone from the game for like a year the game will tick down slightly. Not a lot, but slightly. That way in matchmaking for raiding you will have people with high ratings and low ratings. Also, yes I see this can be a problem and can allow elitists single out players, which is why it would be nice if they had various versions of raiding. So you can have raiding separate into two groups Normal which is like what we have now, but has some slight instructional methods to it and Godhood or Legendary where people can do raiding, but without the easy boss events that occur which can frustrate players who want to be challenged. For those who don't want raiding to change. Ok fine, lets have a special wing put in that can show people how to raid and mechanics of basic raiding. Kind of like a tutorial much like story missions can have when you are starting as a noob. When you do this it can have a 'fake' boss that can demonstrate various attacks and the importance of various positions and roles to take. You can specialize it by class too and have a fun story behind each invidividual class. Though in all honesty other areas of the game need heavy improvement and they need to work there instead. This game has its issues like most games and everyone has their own opinion of how things should go. Honestly, I find raiding enjoyable, but only if I have a good krewe or team.

There are numerous bugs with the mounts that I have encountered with mounts and that my friends have encountered. BUGS Jackal Portal When you use your jackal mount and go through a portal you will lose the ability to maneuver him on the other side of the portal. You may tell him to go left and he will go right or the camera will move and your jackal will not. The only way to fix this is to demount and remount which can be frustrating when you are trying to evade a lot of enemies on the other side of a portal. Griffin Movement BugWhen you use your griffin and mount and begin to fly you may find yourself unable to move your griffin. The mount may be inclined to move to the right or left and when you try to move him towards the direction you want it may go the opposite direction or just keep him straight. Also the griffin will have a camera view problem that will enable you to move the camera with your arrow keys but your griffin will not change direction. Griffin Pocket Raptor ProblemWhen you fly above verdant brink at incredible heights nowhere near the ground, you can get killed by pocket raptors which are really far below you. They should no means be able to hit you, but sometimes they do hit you and kill you instantly causing you to fall far to the ground. MountingWhen you try to mount sometimes it does a number of bugs based on the mounts you try to hop onto. RAPTORThe raptor when the bug occurs will be invisible and your camera field will freeze. You can see your character icon move on the mini-map, but you do not move on your screen. After a few minutes the screen will quickly update to your position and your camera view will be messed up and you can't move your camera view or you can move your camera view with your keys, but you can't move your mount or even character. Only way to correct this is to re-log.SpringerSometimes High Vault can not be used until you jump once after mounting. This happened when the latest bug fix came out. SKIMMERExactly like the raptor, the skimmer will be invisible on your screen as you mount and your character will remain invisible. You can move on map, but not on your screen. Keep in mind you can still take damage when this bug occurs. JACKALFor this bug when you mount your jackal will be in T-pose position and will be at base graphics. you can have the map loaded in and be waiting in an area for a long while, but this bug will still occur. Thankfully you can still move around, but it can only be in straight lines until this bug corrects itself a few minutes or seconds later. GRIFFINMounting up takes longer with the bug and can have any number of issues shown for the mounts above. Mount De-mounting BugWhen you demount using the X button when you are on a mount. Sometimes your character will show that you are still mounted on your abilities bar and you can't do anything unless you hit waypoint or 'sometimes' use your mouse cursor to hit the demount button. Flying Raptor BugThis is a recent bug that happened to one of my friends and is honestly quite hilarious. This player does not have a griffon and when they get on their raptor they can sometimes fly their raptor like a griffin. The raptor will be stuck in a static model position and the player can literally fly his raptor around the map. It looks hilarious and had the guild laughing for a good half-hour. Despite this the bug needs to be fixed. MOB attachment BugWhen you are flying on a griffin sometimes a mob from the floor levels will get attached to your mount and try to attack it. I had the fun opportunity of having a Veteran Vinetooth in Auric Basin follow my mount and keep clipping to my position even though I was flying high above the map. Eventually the MOB will leave you alone as you leave the position it patrols, but it can be frustrating to have a mob hit you in the air as you are flying and you can't avoid it. Honestly the most annoying bug on here is when you have the mount and you lose the ability to control it. I have done many parkouring events with my mounts only to lose control of my mount and have to wait for my mount to hit solid ground so I can demount and remount again so I can try to redo what I had done before. This is a frequent bug and is painful to deal with. EDIT:This bug is universal. All classes, races, and servers deal with this issue from what I have seen myself and heard from others. Every map build from HOT, Tyria, to POF experiences these issues.
