  1. Thank you @Sobx.1758 πŸ™‚ Checking with my API key, it is a number of Rise and Shine ones that I have done.
  2. Over the last few days, I have been searching for Minor Arcane Chests to obtain Arcane Osmogrifier Fragments. In doing so, I have found some hidden chests, that only reveal themselves when you get close to them and click an "Activate" button which appears. Originally, they might have been bugged, as I just found myself holding a rock and could not access the chest that appeared very briefly, and then disappeared. I assume there was an issue that has now been fixed, so now I can open them, as my page linked: My page shows a chest being opened I could not find anything on the gw2 wiki about them and although these chests look like Minor Arcane Chests, they are not (as you do not have to click 1 to 5 skills to open them), as per the small reward chests at the end of the map meta events. You just click "Open" after they appear. What should these chests be called and how should they appear in the Wiki?
  3. I have updated my Fishing MultiClock to include a new button to hide the second hand when you wish and have also written some detailed information on it in my User area on the GW2 wiki here: Fishing MultiClock All further feedback welcome!
  4. Thank you for that! I am glad someone tried it! Good point! I think that the difference with RL fishing is that you are often waiting a long time for a bite, so can do other things while waiting, like listening to music or reading a book. I have been on fishing trips when I have caught nothing, but still enjoyed it! In GW2 it is pretty easy when you have the green hook symbol, not so easy with yellow one and almost impossible with red one!
  5. I have produced some documentation on my Fishing MultiClock in my User area of the wiki here: Fishing MultiClock Information on GW2 Wiki I am still waiting for feedback on my "Shark Attack???" button πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
  6. Thanks for your feedback. I understand that some players have not done much with fishing yet and maybe found it difficult at first if trying in a difficult area without a good "Fishing Power" to succeed. It is really not so difficult as long as you take steps to get your fishing power to the right level for that area, although getting the right masteries helps a lot if you want to succeed with solo fishing. I recommend fishing in Cantha areas to start with, joining a fishing party on someone else's boat until you have the right masteries. The key things that you need (other than rod, hook and bait) are: - Fishing on a Full Tank (Tier 3 Fishing Mastery) +100 Fishing Power while Nourished. - Bowl of Fish Stew (Nourishment (30 m): +150 Fishing Power) - can be crafted by 400 Chef, or bought on TP. If you fish one someone else's boat where they have the Fishing Party (Tier 4 Skiff Mastery) and a decent catch of fish, you will find it a lot easier than solo fishing when you do not have that mastery. The mastery provides: - Fishing Party (Tier 4 Skiff Mastery) - between +25 (1 fish) and +150 (99+) Fishing Power. Once you have the mastery, you can get the 99+ stack from someone else's boat when starting in a new area, then switch to your own boat if you would prefer to fish solo. Someone said that they did not think Fishing was relaxing. I disagree! Just as in RL fishing, you can fish in a fishing tournement and work as fast and efficiently as possible to catch as many of the right type of fish as quickly as possible, but you don't have to do that! Even if you join someone else's boat, you can fish in a relaxed way, as long as you show some consideration to the boat skipper and do not hold them up by continuing to fish when they are ready to move to the next fishing hole (they can of course move on immediatly they want to, inerrupting your current cast, but most people will not do that). You can also just stay sat down and go afk for a while, which should generally not be an issue to the boat skipper, even just catching the occassional fish will help build a fish stack for the boat if it does not already have the +99 fish one. Once you have all the mastery stuff, you can quite happily solo fish anywhere, provided you get the 99+ fish stack from someone else in a diffuclt area (when trying to do the Ring of Fire Fisher or Orrian Fisher achievements in particular). You are at liberty to fish as fast or slow as you like! In most areas, nothing will try and attack you or your boat, so there is little worry going afk for a bit (although you need to be constantly alert in some dangerous places). If you are going for your Cod award, then you need to complete all the acheivements, which includes getting all types of fish, some which can only be caught during the 5 minutes of dusk/dawn with the right bait. You can also farm with fishing and earn quite a lot quickly, if you care about that sort of thing. πŸ™‚ Regarding my Fishing Multiclock, nobody has remarked on my "Shark Attack???" button, which provides a fun hidden feature! Try it and let me know what you think 🀣
  7. I have updated my multiclock for you - so now you can hide a second hand! Please clear your browser cache (History -> Clear Recent History - in Firefox) before reloading the clock, or the CSS file will not get updated. Summary of what I have changed: There is new button immediately below the clock which toggles between "Hide Second Hand" and "Show Second Hand". It is a bit more sophisticated than it might appear at first sight in that it controls TWO second hands. 1) If you are displaying the Tyrian Clock or Canthan Clock, the new button can be used to hide or show the (fast red) second hand for BOTH of these displays. 2) If you are displaying the Real Time Clock, the new button can be used to hide or show the (black) second hand for that display. I have implemented this facility using storage, so once you have hidden a second hand, it should stay hidden, even if you reload the page (unless you clear your history for the page) on that particular device. If you load the webpage from a different device, then both second hands will initially be displayed, until you hide one or both of them. I have also updated my help info to include the new button. More feedback from anyone, very welcome!
  8. Thank you for your feedback. Using the Real Time clock button you get GMT/UTC and local time, so it should still be useful to you. Thank you for your feedback too. I will add a button to hide the second hand, so that should solve your problem. Watch this space, I will post when I have updated it. πŸ™‚
  9. Thank you everyone for your interesting fishing feedback. I have not seen any on my fishing multiclock yet? I would love people to try it and say what they think...
  10. I personally love Fishing in Guild Wars 2 and think it is one of the best new features introduced in End of Dragons. I have gone into it in a big way, acheived my "Cod Swimming Amongst Mere Minnows " award, I have four of the five available skiff skins, including the Crescent Canoe, Jade Tech and Winged Reverie types and joined a small guild called Fellowship of Fisherfolk with Isle of Reflection as a Fishing Guild Hall (with weekly Fishing Tournements and upcoming Skiff Races). I have also created a fishing clock as a web page, that works on phones and tablets as well as desktops: GW2 Tyria Fishing MultiClock - includes Cantha, GMT/UTC & Local Time Clocks (I would be interested in any feedback on it) What do you think of fishing? What do you enjoy most about it? What would you like to change or add to it?
  11. I love fishing in GW2 and wanted a clock for Tyrian/Canthan time that I could easily check the current time, without logging in to the game. That is particularly important when fishing for Dawn/Dusk fish, when a dawn/dusk for a region only lasts for 5 minutes in real time. I did not find anything available to suit my requirements, so thought I would make one myself! You can try my MultiClock here: GW2 Tyria Fishing MultiClock - includes Cantha, GMT/UTC & Local Time Clocks I hope that you enjoy it and would be interested to receive some feedback from others (especially if you find a bug!). I had a lot of fun creating it and learned a lot in HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. Have fun πŸ˜ƒπŸ€— Fisher Tanya (Tanya Arrowmaster), Arrowmaster.7194. PS: It should work on any device running a modern web browser. I have done stuff to make it work ok on a mobile as well as a desktop, tablet, etc.
  12. I was fishing at a node in Seitung Province (far south-east of map) and successfully caught a number of fish. Immediately on catching another one, instead of the "caught fish" animation with the fish being brought in and character cheering, I found myself stuck in a strange mode that I have never seen before. Here are some points about it: 1) Basically, my character was stood up doing nothing with all of the fishing icons showing (as if I was still in the process of attempting to catch a fish). 2) If I attempted to move forwards or backwards (i.e. W or S) then my character crouched down and trembled with the "Board [F]" alternatively showing and hiding very quickly. 3) I took a video of the effect and I attach a composite picture that I made up from my video: made up of a main screenshot with inserts at top left showing two effects, "floating" above boat deck and an instant I caught of the "Board [F]" appearing. 4) After left-clicking all the fishing buttons with my mouse, I finally manage to get "Board [F]" to appear steadly, so I used it to sit down and everything was then back to normal. 13. I have closed this and here is my last report: I am really sorry to waste your time, but I found that I had already charmed it, without realizing it! If you look at my siegeturtle_bug.jpg(2 MB), attached to my first report, it is actually shown as the fourth from the right on the bottom row. Sorry to waste your time.
  14. I have reported this directly to ArenaNet and it was allocated Ticket #8602795. I received an reply on the ticket from GM Sparkle Heart, referring to the ingame method of reporting a bug, plus making an entry in this forum as a new topic, so I am doing both for completeness. Here is the content of the ticket so far: https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/ca60465a7432e0e37c341158c6a5ddea?default=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.zendesk.com%2Fhc%2Fassets%2Fdefault_avatar.png&r=g Arrowmaster.7194 Yesterday at 01:10 On a Ranger, I cannot charm the Charm Juvenile Siege Turtles that appear in the Juno Hatchery. Yesterday, "Charm" did appear very briefly, but I did not use it as I wanted to swap pets before charming the new one and it has never appeared again since! Looking at my list of pets I do have the Phoenix, but the only other two I don't have listed are the White Tiger and Wallow - no mention of the Siege Turtle? Either the Juvenile Siege Turtle should be included as a Charmable pet, or the Juvenile version should be prevented from appearing. siegeturtle_bug.jpg(2 MB) https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/ca60465a7432e0e37c341158c6a5ddea?default=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.zendesk.com%2Fhc%2Fassets%2Fdefault_avatar.png&r=g Arrowmaster.7194 Yesterday at 01:26 When I went back to the game just now, another Ranger did charm one, so it should be possible - see my additional snapshot - he renamed his "Tortu" and you can see it in my snapshot. I wonder if it is that I went to the region before getting there via the storyline? I have actually now done map completion on Dragon's End. siegeturtle_bug2.jpg(2 MB) GM Sparkle Heart Yesterday at 04:14 Hello, Thanks very much for letting us know about the issue that you noted in Guild Wars 2. The next time that you're in the game and you find a bug, you can do us a favor by submitting an in-game bug report. This will send detailed information about your character and your position directly to our Quality Assurance Team and will help us assess the issue as promptly as possible. To submit a bug report in the game, simply click on the "Game Menu" button in the upper left-hand corner of the game interface, then choose the "Support" option on the Game Menu. That option will allow you to review known issues, report a bug, or contact Customer Support. You’re also welcome to report a game issue in the Bugs sub-forum of the Guild Wars 2 Forums (https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/forum/9-bugs-game-forum-website/). You may include screenshots with your forum report if you wish to do so. While we are unable to respond directly to each bug report that we receive on the forums or through the game interface, each report is reviewed and escalated, when appropriate. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know about this issue. Regards, GM Sparkle Heart Guild Wars 2 Support Team http://help.guildwars2.com/ https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/ca60465a7432e0e37c341158c6a5ddea?default=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.zendesk.com%2Fhc%2Fassets%2Fdefault_avatar.png&r=g Arrowmaster.7194 Today at 02:49 I have just tried to charm again ingame with the same result as reported, but I noticed something else that happens, which I attach another screenshot to show. Sometimes, when an event is close, the Juvenile Siege Turtle looses its title and cannot be selected - it also freezes in position (shuddering to itself) and a "Lure Hatchling" carrot action appears in the player interface (even though it is not a hatchling, but a juvenile). Using the "Lure Hatchling", does nothing noticeable and does not provide a "Charm". siegeturtle_bug3.jpg(2 MB)
  15. I am glad that I did not give up trying to get to the bottom of the GW1 - Servers issue! I live in England and found the issue this morning when trying to load characters in GTOM, or go there from somewhere else. Yes, "International - District 1" appears to be working fine and I have never seen so many people using it! :) This may help some people with the problem: It appears that the only areas in the Battle Isles that are affected by the current problem are Great Temple of Balthazar and Embark Beach. If you have PVE character that has visited a port town, or PVP-only character, currently located in your guild hall, you can load that character, press M to get the Battle Isles then choose Zaishen Menagerie to go to. Once there, you can choose "International - District 1" from the drop-down and once you have switched, you can press M and go to GTOM, Embark Beach, etc. Note: Prior to unlocking a port town, the only Battle Isles locations roleplaying characters can access are Embark Beach and guild halls. So if all of your characters are currently located in GTOM or Embark Beach, but you have a spare character slot, you could try creating a new PVE character and switch districts with that. ArenaNet - Surely someone has noticed this problem by now? Please post here, or at least place a notice on the GW1 login screen explaining the problem and how to work around it, unless you can fix it within minutes.
