  1. Fix't. I'll happily uninstall all my other games to focus on GW2 if those two buffs got removed from the game in their entirety.
  2. Yes. Bring on the bugs, bring on the crashes. That way, we as the players could more adequately see the inner workings of it for ourselves and have a more suitable understanding of how long development of something as minor as a new weapon takes (or adjusting it for that matter). It'll be a lot more educational than some rando on the forums lecturing about it. Also, if the introduction of a new weapon managed to cause a server crash, that would actually be kinda funny. Reminds me of a bug that kept occurring in FFXIV that would cause a whole server to go down if one person went fishing in one particular area.
  3. Might want to reword "two-handed weapon" to "two-handed melee weapon" for at least a couple of those since some of them might give a little too much power to ranged weapons. Other than that, I'm all for this change since it's not only been a long time coming by now, but also factoring in the weapon changes with the start of SotO.
  4. Except this isn't life, it's a video game. If it can truly be worse, I'd be very curious to see how far down that rabbit hole realistically goes because in this particular circumstance, I have a feeling it's close enough to bedrock that it can't get much deeper. Again, still a wager I'm willing to take.
  5. Yup, contrary to at least my popular belief, you can't pistol whip someone from a range of 600.
  6. Yes, gimme gauntlets so I can finally punch bosses in the kneecaps (yes I play asuras).
  7. So let's go through all of them... Guardian is okay between Firebrand and Willbender, which I think became "the cooler Dragonhunter" now it can use longbow. While I haven't tried pistol Firebrand, it does look like fun. Warrior can be suitable depending on how much carpal tunnel you want. Berserker is really fun, but expect hand pain from it. Bladesworn can still be fun, and Spellbreaker kinda falls in the happy medium. Revenant has some strong options between Herald and Vindicator. Just pretend that Renegade doesn't exist (like I've been trying to since EoD launch). Engineer has a couple of fun choices with Scrapper and Holosmith, both of which I think are dwarfed by Mechanist. It can be fun at times, but if Harbinger's boring, then Mech probably would be too. Thief might have something for you, I just have no clue what it could be. Ranger may have something for you with Soulbeast being as simple or as complex as you want it to be, and I think Untamed might have something useful now that dual maces are available. Condi Druid is there if you're looking for something different as well. Mesmer definitely has Virtuoso as an option, while Mirage could probably fall into a similar category as Soulbeast. Chrono exists too, but not sure how well it fares in open world compared to the other two. Elementalist definitely has more complex options like Catalyst or Weaver, although I personally opt for FA Tempest because other builds hurt my brain. Necromancer....has Scourge? If you're bored on Harbinger, you'll probably get bored on Reaper (although I haven't tried dual sword Reaper yet).
  8. More important question I'd argue is "could it be any worse?" After messing around with ele pistol, I'm almost willing to take that wager.
  9. Power Herald A/A + LB Soulbeast Practically any Mechanist
  10. Warrior: Rampage now increases damage dealt by 500% each time a weaponskill is used, and sound effects are increased by 500%.
  11. I could definitely see the unga bunga warrior stick taking healsworn from meme to dream. Necro swords, on the other hand, make me wonder why devs want necro players to keep sticking their own weapons into themselves...
  12. I've never understood this idea of making core specs on par with elite specs. Then again, I've always seen the core specs as stepping stones to the elite specs with the somewhat recent core adjustments being QoL additions for players leveling and working toward their first elite spec. On top of that, it wouldn't make any financial sense for Anet to make core specs equal to elite specs because that would potentially mean less reason for players to buy expansions, which means less money for Anet.
  13. Warrior: definitely a 900 range weapon. Maybe they could get an elite spec with a war fan kit or something like that. Revenant: rifle, preferably associated with an elite spec attributed to Snaff that uses psychic powers and the elite skill summons Big Snaff. Guardian: OH mace just to see what Anet would do with it. Ranger: rifle, again just to see what Anet would do with it. Engineer: at first I thought dagger, but the posts here suggesting staff seemed more interesting. Thief: either hammer or dual maces because I want a proper thug option. Elementalist: at least MH mace if not dual maces. Mesmer: shortbow, mostly for the possibility of portal shenanigans. Necromancer: swords that don't feel like you're stabbing yourself with them.
  14. Not necessarily. In fact, it would make more sense if they didn't because it would be easier to balance things when they're confined to one part of the game. If aquatic weapons were made useable on land, that means that they would have to retool them not just for usability on land, but also so that they aren't performing similar roles as other weapons that professions may have. This might sound arbitrary to anyone thinking solely as a player, but it's something that devs have been taking into consideration more and more over the years with the introduction of more and more weapons for each profession, and it'd be a pretty massive mountain to climb in terms of balance and performance. If they were to enable something aquatic going more amphibious, I'd wager it'd be more likely from mastery point stuff attributed to skimmers.
  15. As a warrior main (currently), I do see the occasional spellbreaker since the hammerbreaker build is still a thing even though they were a lot more popular prior to the zerker buff. I definitely haven't seen any bladesworns in a long time, and the big reason is the Murphy's Law of GW2 stating that you will always need to dodge the second you start charging up your Dragon Trigger, although staff bladesworn could wind up as an interesting candidate for alac healer (it still won't be the best by a long shot though). Also as a former revenant main who kept getting shoehorned into playing alacrigade for years even going into the start of EoD, I'm pretty happy that renegade has fallen into the miserable obscurity it deserves. Maybe if it gets dev treatment, it'll finally be able to work underwater.
