  1. Withiout quickness and alac every rotation feels cumbersome and if you try to pull a dagger out of glue. Eigther have this CD reduction everywhere and the speedup of spells cast. Or let it as is.
  2. Yes, this is the very poor execusion of these ideals. Bad quality is what pops in my mind there.
  3. Arenanet obviously pushed much on Inclusion and Diverstiy. You can feel it in many parts of the game. This very good on one hand - as it shows that everything has a place, on the other hand it feels like they create the monster they try to fight. They kill identity to try to open up room for better inclusion.The gut feeling that I get by this is that they want to win it all. And when one tries to win all, the person likely looses all. I hope this will not happen.
  4. 3/10 1 - You made an OP mechanist class i can deal 35k by having litteraly only ONE utility skill I click and rest is just pressing everything (weapons skills and f keys) on cooldown. This way I can drink five beers, talk with my friend on the phone and eat a pizza while raiding. Was never possible before, now you enabled it. Fun! 2 - We can get rid of all other classes as they heavly underperform. Before every class did nearly the same damage only Untamed, Tempest and Herald were crap, so with a few exceptions it was very balanced. Now all except Blue, Brown and Green you can throw in a trashcan (ok, purple for quick attacking bosses, thats now really it). That simplfies group building. (And not borthering with classes that are twelve feet under) 3 - You do not need to use your brain any longer for the same reward in raids, because you get the same loot with new buff. There is zero reason to play it normal. This makes me do not care about any rotation any longer and I can autoatatck, we can be 5 people and kill the bosses. Add all three points together and we got simple group bulding, easy raids with now zero penalty for same rewards, and can turn off our brain and read a novel while playing. Maybe this is good for new players? Maybe its a desaster? I don't know. Those are my three points. All the patch chances to the classes simply killed balance and felt very very poor desinged. My highlight in this patch: Banners that do provide 6 seconds of buffs (have only one usefull buff) have a 60 sec cooldown and WHILE picking them up you have an empty weapon skill bar. Those buffs do NOT reapply. That killed it. oooooof. Can you really think of ONE spec or class that does for a longer time NOTHING? You said you have a balance team since EOD. I really really really ask myself what they are doing or how the structure looks like that such things ever make it to the patch. Edit: I like the general idea of this patch to make classes deal less damage and enable more compositions. Now please redo the changes and add a proper execution. You can do it. I'm sure!

  7. @Josh Davis.7865Thank you that you step in for your team. This has gotten too far indeed and anything beyond normal frustration should not be. Now something struck my eye. This passage: How does it relate to this: ? I feel disconnected to be honest between what you write and what I read there. The deeper I dig the more I've got the feeling that this listening does NOT happen. It's rather a "Yes you said A?" "A, B, C, D, E" "Ok he said A". I am aware that thousands of opinions are hard to consume. You rather menally sum op the most common topics to simple things as a human. Makes sense. What does not make sense to me is HOW disconnected you (as a company) and the good players are. When I read Murus post I feel so bad and your message does not make it better anyhow. It gives me the feeling that you did the right: Defend your team and better announce transparency. But the wrong the same time: Do not address your obvious disliked route as a company regarding game balance and motiviation for players for high end content. Murus post and yours in combination leave a really bad gut feeling of this all.
  8. Warrior dps is just too bad in comparsion to other classses. Also boons canno't be generated good enough with the same dmg amount as a firebrand. And than you put a crit stat in the condi traitline. I'm mentally out.

  10. You failed the calculation. Yes we need crit because banners are missing. However, ITS TOO less. Man there are online calculators which give you the exact numbers and you failed for nearly all classes. Please redo your math. I'm sure you'll get it right 🙂 BUT. You did the worst: You buffed Ingi which was OP as fu** already and left firebrand nearly untouched. 8 Mechs + 2 QFBs OR 8 Mechs + 2 Scrapper. Ingi only meta. Were coming! --- Hopefully that will soon balance out.

  12. For me SAB is the only mode i do besides raids. No festival has such a depth as this festival. All other are in comparison boring to me. So yes please finnaly deliver the next chaper!
  13. I do not get this. I play regularly and do some raids, events and such stuff and always have enough shards through leveling that way and tomes as a passive side effect. I mean you have to commit to one gamemode and play it or cycle through them and you never have a lack of those.

  16. Untamed felt too me like the last spec that got finished and looks and feels like that. Created with maximum time pressure and maximum reuse. Not even a new spec. Just a recycling of already existing spells and animations. Sad. And it is absolute crap. Not even appearing at any dps ranking. Feels cumbersome and boring to play. And not rewarding dps wise as well. No support functionality. This spec is dead 😞

  18. Title of this thread: Catalyist is garbage in WvW Remove the "in WvW". It underperforms now everywhere.
  19. Not much text required: You killed the ele. A bit more but useful feedback: Lets review your patchnotes: Deploy Jade Sphere: Cooldown increased from 5 seconds to 15 seconds in PvE, matching PvP and WvW. This is like you want to throw a ball a bit, and the next time you use your full force. You miss the target terribly. You nerfed the cooldown of one of the most important spells not by 50% or 75%. You nerfed it by 300%!!!!! Seriously, what do you expect? It should be maybe 7 seconds or so, but not 15. This simply annihilates the usfullness of this spell entirely. Shattering Ice: Damage coefficient reduced from 0.3 to 0.15 in PvE only. Half....why half. Relentless Fire: Damage bonus reduced from 15% to 10% in PvE only. Now we got percentages. Fine. 5% more means not so much for one spell. But you do cast many spells. This simply sums up rapidly. Maybe 2% less would have made sence but why 5%? Empowered Empowerment: Elemental Empowerment effectiveness increase changed from 100% to 50% in PvE only. You simply cut it in half. Yep again a huge nerf instead of a bit. All your adjustmens feel not like balanced out and well tested. More like "Oh we need to do something, lets simply use things that feel good, simply devide by 2 or multiply by 3, or devide or add 5". The result: You nerf from 44k to 33K. Honestly, PLEASE TEST YOUR CHANGES. Give it to a high end player that is very good with the rotation and benchmark the changes. Please do not simply shoot in a dark room and THAN turn on the light and evaluate if someone got hit. This way of doing changes ends up most likely in a desaster. Ok last but not least: I love EOD. You made a great game! My text above just shows the frustration on such moves. I hope this makes sense.
  20. Roll your head over the keyboard. Scourge got 33. No brain no rotation just blood is power into shroud perdiod. That is a joke. Warrior blasts most of the other classes AND places banenrs. 34k easy by spamming f1 and pressing two buttons. Condi damage is not a problem. The reward for complex rotation is. Weaver and tempst are complex and crap for it. That is the issue.
  21. Most hilarious is the Mistlock Sanctuary. Here I log in and in the NEXT second I get the map change popup. WHAT? Why do I not get distributed to a empty map? Is my thought. But than: The map is stuffed with players. Its full. What? Why does a full map close? No sence ²
  22. Propably just sum it up: - You need to DPS like crazy up to 70% - You need to break each cc bar. This is the blue one. You learned it in the previous quests. DPS is totally NOT impornant while this blue bar is up. Shatter it like a heart! - When the announcement in the voice comes that tail is producing bubles or the tail is up. Ignore the head and run and kill the tale. - Red/Orange fields are evil. This is a core thing in this game. Do not face tank it. Go out of them and than DOGE into them when an attack releases. This makes you evade any damage. - Kill the thornhearts in the middle phases. This is vital, because they throw constantly engeryballs at the group which knock you down. And than guess what? You have to doge an attack. Yep, you're dead. Hence: Kill thorn hearts. - When there are greens, all must be covered by at least one player. - Did I mention doge, cc and tail already? Done. There is no way to fail this if people learn that. No RNG at all. All an exact patterns all across the fight. However: - If you fail to doge = dead = no dps = problem - If you fail to kill the tail = a lot of cc = people can't do stuff = no dps = problem - If you fail to cc = lots of aoes that deal damage, boss gets non attackable for a short while = people will get downstate = no dps = problem - If you fight the boss naked and with vitality and toughness stats, well how would you dps? And so on 😄 That is the fight
  23. I love the meta and I think making the tail uptime lower is a good move. BUT: This should still be a "Train how the game works to get it done" Meta. You NEED to CC You NEED to sidestep and doge You need to optimize your damage and not stupidly auto attack and roll your head over your keyboard. I mean YOU FIGHT DRAGON. Would you really just do random stuff? You'd get killed. Think, be forced to think and adjust - build and armor and skills. This ist just right. Please do not nerf it further This meta has no value any longer as you can get the turtle elsewhere. Why would you invest all of the above to do it when the reward elsewhere is so much better? This makes this event even more dead. It would need some BIGGER reward than all the others. Whatever that means.
