  1. launchbuddy is outdated and cant really do this, you need GW2Launcher
  2. They probly cant change anything on the chinesse client anymore, as they droped support for it... kongzhong is suppose to do it... not anet... when they sayd they "send a mail to anet" for the problem, its probly wrong or a lie. That been sayd, can understand your frustration and hopes to get help here, alas I doubt you gonna get any.
  3. At some point after release, a few months or a year, there was a lot of tchat bot for gold sellers, and I mean a lot. They did manage to solve the issue over time, nowaday theres either none or marginal ammounts of them in the game. Whatever botting you can encounter is probly very marginal, or examinated/evaluated at a point or another. In comparaison gw1 feel totally abandonned by anet, bots are running in plain sight to get daily zaishen, they dont care to hide. In kamadan (the main hub) the advertissement for gold sellers is so annoying they basicly updated the client so you can filter your own tchat instead of trying to get rid of the sellers, there are websites that actually filter the tchat for you, at this point im not sure anybody actually read it in game anymore, or its marginal anyway, because its just left in that sorry state. They took many years to repair the /report feature, but its pretty clear nobody is on the other side of the "line", botters/gold sellers dont even need to "switch" accounts, they are there since forever and never dealt with. They even got the dye trader hacked/bugged by somebody for the black dye, since that well its impossible to use the npc for that specific purpose, affects all players regardless, answer from support was basicly they cant do anything because its too old, probly would take 5min to fix for a dev but anyway, nothing seems to reach them.
  4. Yeah im fine with not having the specifics, they can keep it hided if that helps, basicly your saying it doesnt matter if I dont catch the message because it was hidden (temporally while in combat) or something similar, its all fair. Teleporting me is really something I would indeed... notice ... lol
  5. So when you say its not as simple, you just meant that they can teleport you, right? Because it seems its as simple as answering them, unless you didnt mention something. Im really curious because, if its a chat based querry and you are in combat and your setting make the chat off in combat then... you cant even see it? Or is it like I dunno, a squad broadcast that you cannot miss?
  6. But thats the point, "all the players doing it collectively", so far in this discusion its 2-6 necros on one spot, thats NOT a lot, thats nothing, thats marginal compared to thousands of concurrent players, really playing the game. As for gold sellers or RMT, theres not such a thing, there are ppl trying to get your credential and steal your account, sure, but theres no underground buisness with millions of gold to transfer over guilds and stuff, thats mostly lies or just plain wrong assumptions, that anet does encourage because well, it cultivate fear, devotion and deputies-minded ppl, wich in turn mean lots of reports, and hardly anybody could get trough that then. Not saying villains dont exist, but if you exagerate it, then most players will insta reports them... wich is exactly what they want. Per say, you dont need the blue shroud thing, you have the volunteers already, and dont worry, they hit the report button anytime its needed, because its so easy to convince them of the great evil around them. And because they keep that blured line between legal and illegal (GM will pm you to verify), it means they are even players who will pm you just to be sure you are active, and by no means you are suppose to answer them (wich also increase suspicions).
  7. How would someone autocasting greatsword attack could tip over the prices of mats? Im not saying thats an excuse or anything, what im saying is they cannot be getting enough for them to compete over ppl who are actually playing and getting the same mats, at a much higher rate, unless everybody does that, but instead it seems more like marginal practice... so its probably marginal impact on the "economy" as well.
  8. neat thx, so its golden and pretty obvious, is still pretty unclear as to how much pm are sent to verify "afk" players or "bots", or just to find somebody who got verified that way. The list show a bit less than 50 "agents", provided theres thousands of players that login every hours, I think its safe to say this is marginal.
  9. Does anybody ever did post a screenshoot of a GM that would pm them? While I guess in theory its possible for a GM to do that, I never got any pm from them, and often ppl report me. Im just wondering if they have something special for them, like a different text color, or does it bypass your UI settings (you can turn off the chat for exemple) If theres nothing special about it, how would you even reconize it from any other "pm", and how would that constitute any sort of proof you are active or not? I mean, theres a serious possibility that one would not even notice the thing, either from ui setting, or just I dunno, if you have a small windows and cant really read the chat text on it. But this is just assumption, because ive never saw the thing, and im wondering if anyone actually saw it, or could share what it look like exactly.
  10. Could be either hardware or software failure, in both cases, if its not critical, the computer might behave just as usual, but not let you "play" per say, or randomly.Your saying the laptop is old so thats a possibility. The ram could have just one chip broken, there are memtests to verify that. The power supply could be half broken, and only under stress you would get problems, you can also verify that with some tools to stress test.Windows itself could have some issues. When the computer doesnt work anymore its easy to tell whats wrong with it, usually, but in many cases the broken part may not trash completly your system, so its still sort of half working, thats the harder cases. It would be tedious to make a full list of what you can test/try, because it would be extremly long.
  11. Yeah but in that case, they would have make it so that the cost is fixed, in karma, or whatever else they could come up with, and not something tradable, gatherable. It also make no sence, given, the good food is costly. No, the problem is the huge diversity over food that shouldnt be that much diversified, for near zero benefit to players. When I sayd there are easy ways to fix the situation, I actually meant it, you could for exemple make food effect stackable, like everything else, but thats just one idea and theres many possibilities for them to change the state of the crafting/market, but they didnt, and we are now close to 10 years since release, so it probly wont ever change.
  12. While on the principle I have no issue with the food design overall, it was mentioned that they had meetings about "economy" and ingredients, they apparently totally failed at this. The situation right now, and since many years, is that 90%+ of the materials are worth nothing, only coppers. So we have a huge material storage for many food ingredients, that are not worth picking up anyway. And there was almost no efforts to fix that, sure the 500 cook update did partially solve the issue of food value, for a limited time, but its not fixing the root issue at all.The real issue behind the worthless food is that its worthless... make food matters and bingo ppl will craft more of them, gather more materials, and make the market alive again.Right now, been a crafter is just a waste of gold, more or less, the only thing that keep cooking revelant is the ascended food, it probably wouldnt take much efforts to make it worthy as a whole, but I dont believe thats what they want.
  13. When you have 10 you can do that They finally did their thing, only took 2 months but they replaced the beta with my real account, meanwhile figured ive had a second beta but the rest worked just fine.Id recommand buying when theres a promo, thats what I did.
  14. I believe the client wouldnt be able to handle a single map with the population that equal to many capped maps. Not without a massive update on the way they display players/mounts models, but its probably not within their possibilities.Edit: also forgot projectiles... and the skills effects... definitly sound unlikelyAlso having the same ip for different maps isnt new or bad by itself, but if they increased the number of maps on a node then yes, that would explain the issues.
  15. I guess this person though they switched to amazon like 3 weeks/months ago, but its nearly 3 years now. Also if a map is empty... how do you know its lagging? you cannot tell how many players are in a map anyway, theres no indicator. You can figure if its full, sure, but you cannot figure the exact numbers.
