You can use this link to get ideas and create a hybrid Build that fits your needs, If that's what you are looking for. https://snowcrows.com/builds/ranger/soulbeast/hybrid-soulbeast I currently think Build Pow is the best for Slb.

What has always been the pet problem is not the damage itself but the way it is applied, many pets have a hard time hitting targets. Currently Mech has very good DPS, probably its damage will be reduced in the next patches.

[Suggestions]QoL (Quality of Life) Ideas [Merged]
Revolution.5409 replied to ginryu.3026's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I wish I could queue multiple items while crafting without having to manually select different items each time. -
I like the concept of this specialization, with Hammer and Aoe abilities I wish Ranger had a place in Zergs. I hope Anet has also decided to make some improvements to the pets to make this work .. Ranger's class mechanic has always been her weak point and this is a great chance to fix that.

I would prefer to have two dodges and the attack was shifted to f2.

Hammer with AoE / CC nothing else. A less selfish profession that can also work with large groups of people.
-
I would rule out the Focus I would not want a support specialization (I can't imagine it otherwise xD), the Hammer will remain the first choice, but a double 1h Mace or the scepter would remain great options.

Are we sure that this is the icon of Ranger specialization? If Anet decided to release a Mesmer profession without clones as requested by many players I would say that Ranger will get a hammer and that the most suitable icon would be the second in the second row. However, looking at this icon I think the options are many. I think it could be a shield, but it could also be a mask or an arrowhead anyway I'd like some correlation with: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Warden

I doubt that the city has changed much aesthetically, but I think it's bigger.

Which characters would you like to travel with to Cantha?

Livia would be ideal as a character to introduce us to Cantha. -
With the new expansion certainly.

Thanks for the guides.

Bearbow was garbage, yes, but it wasn't the only build a ranger could play. The main issue was that players playing this peculiar build for 'convenience' ruined the reputation of the ranger as a whole. I have a hard time recalling 4 warriors and a mesmer, if it was ever a thing it didn't last long. A strong PvE meta that last quite a bit was 4 ele and a thief/mesmer. Well, nope, if anything, when they increased the pet's vitality, they took away a part of it's damage and it hurted the ranger quite a bit in PvE. What made a difference is when they made it resistant to non targeted aoe damage in PvE (The need to do it was proof enough that they wasted their time years prior with the increased vitality on the pet). I should also say that the first time they nerfed "guard!" hurted a lot QoL in PvE. If anything I'd say that in term of management the pet was better in it's early day than he is right now (sure it gained survivability, but it doesn't really compensate the shorter leash, the loss of damage and the loss of the original version of "Guard!"). I disagree, the necromancer shroud have been an issue in itself since release, Thiefs mechanic of stealth attack have been a balance issue since release as well, Elementalist attunment are to tied to the elementals traitlines and create quite a bit of issue as well, Mesmer is a total mess due to it's clone mechanic... etc. The ranger's pet management was a lot better in the early game than it is right now. The pet used to be very usefull in WvW zergling in the early days, even for roaming it was good. Now, in the early days the way players played WvW was also very different than we do right now. You had to put on a fight to take over Towers and Keeps. I can recall clearly sending pets on enemy walls with "Guard!" to kill defenders and destroy siege machines (even 1 shoting squishy thiefs there with birds). Like I can recall just as clearly sending my pet down the walls the same way to destroy trebuchets/catapults thanks to the very long leash. So what would be the alternative Builds to Bearbow? Those changes were mainly aimed at PvP, Anet applied the same changes in all game modes. However it seemed to me an adequate compromise, greater vitality has nevertheless guaranteed more sustained damage by the pet, the only thing that I did not share was the modification on the leash. And was it normal for a pet to do this? I do not think so. I have never had problems with any of these professions and their mechanics.

Isn't Smodur supposed to be the pragmatic one?
Revolution.5409 replied to Diovid.9506's topic in Living World
We know that this legion Charr is made up of spies and assassins, they may have a particular conception of what is considered "betrayal", I think this legion is on the side of the strongest or those with similar interests, it is more likely that Ash Legion has other purposes in this war and not Iron Legion.
