You know what, if you are enjoying the game mode and its current state then power to you! Go out and have a blast. Some of us stuck around long past the expiration date and the milk is definitely sour. I don't want to be too bitter about it but I think after the recent announcement that will probably be it unless a miracle happens. I'm the last of a bunch that left because I held some hope that things may change, I don't really see that in the future but I will check in from time to time. Good luck and have fun to you all.

Right there from the beginning, my how times have changed. I don't really play anymore for all the reasons mentioned above.

O p, this is the rub really isn't it? There is no point in winning , for server at least so it boils down to Guild Pride, which arenanet has consistently failed to recognize as a valid combat or competition format. Currently you have servers that are merged with long dead servers that try to remain with some semblance of pride and you have the remnants of the OG WVW player base roaming in Mercenary guilds that simply look for fights which are contrary to those who look to defend. The Guild groups massively outclass and outskill any pugs and immediately send them running back to Siege and walls and PPT so invariably they end up frustrated and shifting servers to find more fights, the cycle continues ad infinitum. There is no winning in this game mode, the best of the best players are already in their groups and they are not going anywhere everybody else is just meat for the grinder and well aware of it. So it's half PVP half Tower Defense, welcome to WVW

The real trick in my opinion is not to move forward but to roll back, WVW was its greatest before the first expansion, before the devs felt the need to tickle and tweak based on PVE, it will never be that way again, but it's a hell of a sight better than what we're dealing with now

No it needs plain and simple balance, some care and attention to detail taken by developers that actually care what is going on. That is literally all it needs along with listening to the concerns of the player base that actually plays WVW as opposed to snowflakes who played PVE.

I used to be hardcore, but this game has been taken over by snowflakes and people who demand the bar get lowered to their ability as opposed to trying to get better.

Yeah you guys got a couple of guilds that came, maybe around 200+ or so people transferred to sf. Some part of an "alliance". I do know doc, cl, tlr, and a few others are there now on both hod/sf I’m in TLR, and ya we have an alliance and we transferred recently to SF But imo, I think there are an influx of new WVW players...some from PVE that fancy the Warclaw, and some from SPVP that are sick and tired of that dieting game modeThe dieting game is strong

At first I was irritated, but then I just kind of sat back and started doing the collections and I'm going to be honest, it hasn't been that bad. It's actually been kind of enjoyable to revisit areas I haven't been to in a while, possibly do a quest chain that I had skipped previously. It really hasn't been that awful, it is something to do in a game that is all about repetitive meta's.

Not going to lie I was a bit irritated with the time gate of the beginning however I've been puttering Along on this collection chain and I haven't found it too bad, I've even enjoyed revisiting some areas I haven't been to in a while. It's not that bad to be honest. Haven't used to guide since the eggs and it's been pretty fun

Definitely pre hot. The stability Nerf was a really bad idea. Also the death of servers didn't help very much, servers we're often what made me log in, the rivalries the politics the ever-changing , yeah matches stagnant after a while but there is always the chance that some guilds would move or something server would rise from the bottom to overthrow the one above, it was good times. I think Discord helped to separate the servers, with one TeamSpeak per server people had to get along, now everyone just creates their own Discord and doesn't have to deal with the plebs Edit. Apologies for the jumbled paragraph, speech to text while driving is always an adventure

In my opinion reduce war claw Health to 5000hp. Make them susceptible to cc's with a small break bar. Allow the downstate jump and the chain pull however useless it is. Other than that it is fine, it is a good way to get back to the action as fast as possible

First rule of WVW, never listen to Rangers. They are like roamers on these forums they post and continue to cry and complain to try and validate what they do and how they do it. They are useless and should be treated as such, learn a meta class and play it

So like, worlds are being restructured or something? There was no TL:DR, didn't bother with the last 53 PAGES of griping. This is Anet kids, it's not like this is happening anytime soon, and based off past performance we will see 2 more Xpacs out before this even smells like reality. There will be at least 6-7 months of hype for everyone to figure their stuff out. Your world is safe for now.

Best event ever! This needs to be a permanent change to the game. Everybody needs to rethink the way the game is played and stop relying on gimick builds and Siege to protect themselves. There should be consequences for running glass builds and there should be rewards for playing the game smart. This is good kids

You know, I fell for that mesmers pull a couple of times. Then I learned to respect certain groups that use it and change my strat. Hasn't caught me since. Ran with those same groups and I can tell you they only look for the noobs that obviously have no clue.
