If you run Viper's, yeah: your power damage is quite decent, you've got a lot of AOE on both Shortbow and Mace/Axe, the Renegade minor traits are great with hybrid gear because you get +33% crit chance to compensate for the mediocre Precision, and some of your DPS is burning, which ticks really fast. And then you can switch to Trailblazer to solo bosses or whatever, if you want. (Note also that maps like Dragonfall and Drizzlewood are primary event loot dispensed via chests. So your ability to tag in absolute terms probably isn't the most important thing here.) Is this your main? Do you have the build can share?

How does it compare with power dragon hunter when farming in places like Dragonfall and Drizzlewood? Does condi renegade hit fast and hard enough to actually get decent loots from mobs?

I have a soul beast and its burst damage is good. But something about ranger or maybe just the colour scheme itself just irks me so much that I always find it very difficult to continue playing the class. I enjoy renegade and dragon hunter quite thoroughly but I just wanna deal with one class and that’s it. Holosmith is just no no for me.

As DH main, what makes you choose this class over the other?As Condi Renegade main, what makes you choose this class over the other? In PVE, which one melts down mobs faster and sustain better as well?

Do people still use boonbeast? Still viable? less in pvp/wvw. because of the power build nerfs. in pve its still goid and in oPvE one of ny favorites tbh. Yeah I am having a lot of troubles surviving as a power beast with the build that’s recommended by snow crow/meta battle. I don’t remember Soulbeast being so hard to survive in the open world. Just swap out some of the utilities for defense. Moa, Protect Me, Dolyak. It already does so much damage that for OW you don't need damage oriented utility skills. Edit: Builds in OW need to be self-sufficient. Benchmark builds never are since they rely on there being 5-10 players working together. So you just need to rethink what you actually need. Personally, I like the whole jack of-all-trades trope for Ranger because it does it really well at it, you can really be self sufficient in everything. So, this works best when you go in and out of beastmode, not camping it.Running around in OW, keep the pet stowed, then when you enter combat the pet pops out and it counts as a pet swap for Zephyr's Speed and Clarion Bond. It will also get the boons from the Pack Runes. Open with Moa Stance and be at 1500 range with the LB. Once the Smokey has used its shadow step and KD, enter beast mode. Using WHaO right before entering beast mode will maximise the boons gained through Fresh Reinforcement.Go though a rotation in beast mode, after 15s, drop back out, using WHaO to buff your pet again. Try to use PBS or Hilt Bash when under Moa for the Quickness from Sigil of Celerity who's CDs line up perfectly. Using Moa Stance off CD lines up nicely with the Pack Runes and it's duration means you should always be able to either get the bonus from LtW, Clarion Bond, Zephyr's Speed since they all have the same CD which is the same as Moa's duration and beast mode cds is only 10s. Remorseless is even better to take if you prefer GS most of the time. Also, if you are spending a lot of time in GS or need more healing, just swap out the Smokey for the Owl or Fern Hound. Should be just as good, just swap Lead the Wind for Remorseless (Bursty for GS) or Predator's Onslaught (For A/A since you have the Chill) and swap Zephyr's Speed for Honed Axes. You lose some Quickness up time but it will be made up for by the additional ferocity from Honed Axes.I followed the build, yeap I seem to be able to survive better now. I have to say that these days I tried this build, with exotics trailblazer stats and now I can solo all challenges without trouble.Before when I played power build I suffered a lot, and a playing a game without having a good time sucks.I dont know if all thos who play glass cannon in fractals are skilled Gods or what, but I find unrealistic for example being avobe 90% hp all the time during a combat to get the benefits of Rune of Scolar. I had the exact same experience with ranger. Have been playing for few months now and found the power sb really hard to survive with. I tried that condition build and it immediately won me over. I see 3 benefits: 1) you get to use a ranged weapon as meta; 2) better aoe potential with all the traps and torch skills; 3) higher survivability (which is critical for gameplay experience if you like me dont have years of practice running the same mobs over and over again). In the end condi SB is a great way to get to learn about the endgame and then can always revert back to power buildDon’t you find condi build difficult to farm mobs in the open world? In general it's best to avoid metabattle. Those builds are far from ideal and often behind on updates. Check this out for a greatsword build, it's still an ideal weapon for high damage and mobility: https://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/ranger/soulbeast/power/ Snowcrow focus mostly on raid and OP asked about Open World PvE solo build. That build linked is a full Berserker build which is too vulnerable in today's open world map, in particular for PoF and HoT maps where there is a lot of condition damage, some stealth and CC... I don't agree that zerker is too vulnerable at all, you just need to learn how to dodge and take some defensive utility skills. Learning to dodge damage properly instead of running around in tanky gear means you can negate 100% of the damage. If you are already doing that in tanky gear, its redundant and exposing you to more mechanics by making the fight take longer. I guess it's the play style I like. I prefer the risk of death but gain the satisfaction of playing glassy gear, so when you do beat an encounter without being hit at all, a flawless victory, it's because you learned to play the class and the mechanics. There's no content in the game that cannot be completed with Zerker gear. This is what I use for open world. Those utility skills provide good damage, allow you to escape almost anything and buff your allies. Pack Runes instead of Scholar is a small DPS loss, but the buffs are good, just use Moa Stance right before entering combat to buff the runes' boons too. I like having the CC/Evade from Smokescale as opposed to a pure DPS pet, particularly when merged, since you can negate a lot of damage that way too. GS has CC, a 3s block and gives you an extra dodge every 3 auto attack chains so very defensive as well as bursty. LB has CC and stealth you can use to create distance. Beastly Warden is just incredible with the smokescale because you can send it in first, then give it invulnerability with Smoke Cloud (which can also provide you with stealth and blind foes with projectile finishers) as it taunts all foes in a 240 radius, interrupting them all. Just because you're using glassy gear, doesn't mean you're going to be taking a lot of damage.What build are you using?

Oh God yes! The flashiness. It hurts my eyes even more and everything goes down to 20 fps from 120+ which makes this even more a mess. I hate that everyone has to be a walking disco ball and be showing off these days. The flashy effects of the skills are bad enough. I really wish there was an option to hide legendary backpacks, legendary weapons, infusions and legendary armor effects from other players because that kitten makes everything 100% worse.This game has sadly become a flashy glittery sfx abomination. :( Just reduce the number of character models. But it’s really way too long. Wonder if it’s worth it at all.

Do you have to complete the first meta for this to start? Also what happened with the champion run after the first meta?

I haven’t played yet but what about the champions after the first meta? Or does it straight away continue to the 2nd meta?

Run around VB opening the airship cargo. These do require the only keys in HoT that cannot be bought, and must be earned through events, but honestly I don't really know /anyone/ who has played a even just a bit of HoT that can spend crowbars faster than earnt. The more daytime progress has occured, the more cargo there is, usually i can get 2-4k airship parts per run of VB depending on what time i start even if I don't actively progress any of the events, between some camps almost always being progressed and cargo that appears regaurdless of event progress. Problem is nobody plays Verdant Brink now. T4 is hard to get.

what is the fastest way to farm the airship parts? any HOT currency exchange?

Long story short, i wanna get the infusion, just wanna focus on one and would like to know which world is generally easier for a jumping noob?I will be using tekkit's guide of course.

Only if you craft the wrong set. ;) For crafting exotic it is cheaper to craft the Warbeast armor even when you factor the additional cost of the recipe sheets.~3g(average if you buy all the recipe sheets at the sell price) for the recipe sheet, 5.9g to craft the light exotic warbeast helmversus~22g to craft a trailblazer exalted masque The Lunatic armor set is even nicer since the result piece of armor remains permanently account bound instead of soul bound on equip but the recipes are only available during Halloween. It is also a bit cheaper than warbeast Both warbeast and lunatic are also unique skins. Weapons are lacking in options. If it is one of the weapon types covered by the new Iron Legion weapons then those are a good option. For Ascended thing the strikes vendor fine for armor but the weapons are restricted to core stats. Warbeast armor has trailblazer stats?
