  1. I just opened Amnytas Hoard and it gave me an exotic lvl 80 ring. Though it's not in the drop table. Anyone else had anything like that?
  2. Artisan Zharra's Cape and Hood Combo currently listed for 1000 gems whereas similar cape and hood combos used to cost 600 gems (example: Battlelord's Cape Hood Combo).
  3. Soon we should not see Twitter live-feed on forums as it costs now. Access to Twitter API live-feed available for Twitter Enterprise API packages start at $42,000 per month for its lowest subscription tier and goes up to $210,000 per month totalling up to $2.5 million per year.
  4. Communication is not appease, the problem is it's done via other channels and not forums.
  5. I was talking about mods and not community managers. I don't think that it's good to see 99.99% of the time community managers posting and not developers/team leads. It used to be a norm to have dev. AMA series on the GW2 Reddit after new patches and they didn't use official forums. It was time when we were able to know what shaped specific changes to the game/story. I'm missing that. Other thing. When news release on guildwars2.com website, there is no way to comment them, nor it is guaranteed for it to appear on the forums officially, making it not easy to respond to and people have to create separate topics about it that often repeat. For example Chromium Embedded Framework update released and there is not a single forum post in News and Announcements section about it.
  6. I don't see your point. Moderation is not the drive of the community. It's communication, feedback collection, event organising and better reach of players that a company can use and many do so.
  7. You just need a Discord account to do everything, that's it. No need to find external cloud storage for image or video. As I said earlier, because of current forum limitations. Can that be fixed? I don't know. Honestly, if you work for a company, feedback (it's also a part of the job) should be collected officially and not in a small group of people because it can happen for information to appear on Reddit and never being mentioned on official forums. Some people want to be anonymous because of harassment in the game. That's also main reason why they don't use official forums.
  8. @Zephire.8049 I agree with many of your points but as I said, media embedding is very bad with current forums, so I don't see it useful in modern times.
  9. @TheGrimm.5624 I can't easily put images or bug videos in current GW2 forums, It's a very big drawback, because it requires people to use external services people don't want to. Discord has forum conversation feature now, so easy to use and track. Discord has more features than Twitter, not just for news. I don't see the reason to keep forums because as a player I don't need them to read news or contact other players. Also developers are not using forums and prefer Discord more because of current forum drawbacks and my friends have sent many videos of bugs or WvW hacking via Discord as it's so much easier.
  10. This Discord is not affiliated with Guild Wars 2 or ArenaNet.
  11. Recently game publisher of Lost Ark MMO announced that they are closing their forums and moving them to Discord. I think Guild Wars 2 should do the same, because developers rarely use this forum. I don't see any collection of feedback of new or upcoming features organised by community managers. I don't think the forums should exist just for players also it costs money for the company to upkeep forums, that instead be better going for development. Discord is also much better platform to reach players in real time and instantly inform them. It is known that ArenaNet developers use Discord to gather player feedback, the problem is that they are not official and not whole community can participate. I hope one day we will get official GW2 Discord server too!
