Well, that will never happen because then rangers would be good and that's not allowed. You see, druid is a good support in wvw, therefore nothing else is allowed. -

The bug was introduced with changes to the way the mech queued skills. I think it will stay there to preserve the behaviour of the mechs since engineers are the better pet class -

You guys are here making up fanfiction that is nonsense. We don't have a healing and an elite signet because skills weren't originally organised around belonging to a skill type and teb types that existed weren't designed around including elite, heal and utility skills. Healing spring wasn't a trap skill until at a certain point in the development of the traits were skills where clumped into types and traits organised around them, strength of the pack wasn't a shout either and all shouts became commands for some reason. So the real reason we don't have an elite or heal signet is because they churned out enough skills and stopped at a certain number, not planning anything about their types. -
I agree, it's probably at the same level as untamed. Not a full blown elite spec, just some hints of it

It so cool that EoD allowed engineers to be the better pet class and on top of that accomodating their pets broke the AI of our pets. Thanks Anet. -

Do you mean defiant foes? The ones where the talent is always active anyway? That's where you need cripple to activate the talent that is already active?

It's because a pew pew soulbeast did Owp, sic'em, 4 & 2 on them once and they died because they didn't have a stunbreak. I think more recently they were the victim of a f2, f1 f3 smokescale-merged combo, which is why they removed the cc from the f1. You know, these highly technical manufacturers that are very hard to avoid and justify nerfing soulbeast to the ground.

They will but only if they already want to. There's a bunch of videos showing how broken willbenders are but nothing is done about it, but the nanosecond a soulbeast uploads a video winning a 1v1 there's an alarm blaring in Anet's offices.

The swords autos feel very janky, they have too long an aftercast -
I believe this is because skills can't be yay different between gamemodes, I think if they removed it from PVP/WvW they had to remove it from PvE too. I'm not entirely certain but I think that's the technical reason and the underlying reason is that one of the Devs got killed by a longbow soulbeast and they decided to nuke them from orbit, like de 70% Nerf to OWP.

Hammer doesn't have one either. I think the Devs forgot it ever existed. I would have liked for it to become a more defined mechanic, in the way that symbols or phantasms are for guardian and mesmer respectively. They could have made traits that grant double the effect, condi cleanse when you use them, anything! But we're the least favourite child out of a family of 9. -

I feel that the maces are designed for PvP/WvW untamed. Not that exciting. -

The best power pet for competitive gamemodes is getting nerfed and everything else is meaningless housekeeping that should have been done years ago and doesn't matter because the pet ai is bad. -
Alacrity would also affect all the survival skills and if you swap pets your pet stops having any conditions. It is a useless trait and you won't find any build running it because it's bad. I don't know why you are defending it.

Empathic bond: "Using a Beast trait removes conditions from you and your pet. Swapping pets recharges this trait" Which at best will remove condis every 20 seconds and this is competing against wilderness knowledge which just adds that 2 condi removal to every survival skill and adds 6 seconds of fury on top of it. Why does Empathic bond even exist? Can we get it sapped for something useful? We have traits like this and all we are getting is an update to the very lacklustre repertoire of pets

I'd rather they gave us a third elite spec because for whatever reason when I go check there's druid, soulbeast and a big pile of garbage.

I think decent it's a bit of a stretch. You're still going to get destroyed by any willbenders or harbingers (except for the really terrible ones) and any average mesmer is going to give you a really hard time. Condi soulbeast is at the bottom of the list of viable builds for dueling.

At least with respect to WvW, the thing is that the game isn't balanced around roaming, except when it comes to nerfing ranger but that's because rangers should only be allowed to play druid in zergs

Yeah well, planning the spec polishing it and putting together a coherent result would have required effort. I think that throwing kitten and seeing what sticks is the lazy option. -

I find it really weird that maces are coming into the game with its own nature's strength and force of nature, particularly considering that the force of nature seems like a remake of the active effects of signet of the wild. It would be nice if you could get traits that interacted with the mechanic, some of the ranger traits and lines could use a rework. It's funny that the maces seem to have had more effort put into them than the entirety of the untamed did in the first place. -
If you want to do roaming as a ranger the best recommendation is don't. Swap to willbender or harbinger so that you can play on easy mode.
