Funnily though, using the ability to turn invisible too much would've made Frodo get caught easily.
-
But what about the immersion? I can't take the game seriously if someone can just waltz around enemy territory out in the open without raising alarms.

The Real Reason Why Celestial Builds Are Broken.
Clownmug.8357 replied to SleepyBat.9034's topic in World vs. World
So, some skill/trait that gave something like 5 seconds of might now does 7 seconds with the extra concentration, and people think that's why they lose fights to celestial builds? -
Why Do People Follow Inept Commanders?
Clownmug.8357 replied to Jitters.9401's topic in World vs. World
Are you sure they're inept? How many screw ups did it take before they whined about people not being in voice comms? -
Scepter Only Good if running Fresh Air trait?
Clownmug.8357 replied to Felix Pantherae.1425's topic in Elementalist
Without Fresh Air it's still decent as a hybrid weapon for Weaver. You get already low attunement cooldowns and can use Unravel to instant refresh for certain combos. Besides Plasma Beam some of the other dual attacks are pretty good just that they lean more into condi damage. -
Sounds like profession balance would be the real problem in that case.
-
Huh? So it's under-utilized yet needs to be nerfed?
-
Hmm, maybe Catalyst is actually top tier if a few extra stats points are so groundbreaking.
-
Ok, don't bother to explain. I'll just assume you want everyone using pvp amulets as the solution then.

They don't test anything. That's why they're doing these changes in the first place.

Wow, pve only. I think I'm going to be sick.

Harbinger shouldn't be 1-shotting classes so easily
Clownmug.8357 replied to gmmg.9210's topic in Player vs. Player
1-shotting? Seems more like melting away with a 900 range Flame Jet. -
All the stuff left neglected from Feb. 2020 patch like 300s CD traits and wet noodle CC skills like Head Butt and Executioner's Scythe that contradict their original design.

Nope, you can only expect the occasional copy pasted sPvP changes at best.

PoF specs are still obscenely overpowered
Clownmug.8357 replied to Shiyo.3578's topic in Professions
Yeah, tradeoffs weren't fully implemented across the board like they should have been. That's the real problem with balance in this game, too many half-baked ideas. -
I'd like this as a special event maybe, but not regular gameplay. It would be cool having a scenario where people roaming have to fight over sentries just to get that medkit though. Also would be funny if some Engineer and Revenant roaming build became meta just because of being able to swap to medkit and Ventari to not deal with cooldowns.

Don't know what needs to be changed but supports definitely need to be looked at. WvW's design doesn't seem to have scaled up well from players just being able to blast water fields for healing and stack a little swiftness and might for boons.

So actually how vindi alter/bring new playstyle?
Clownmug.8357 replied to Scoobaniec.9561's topic in Revenant
How does losing regular dodge and having access to a utility pool of up to 15 skills not alter playstyle? -
A new ranged spec for Ele is simply both undoable and boring.
Clownmug.8357 replied to volca.7234's topic in Elementalist
To me it seems more like there's a lack of effort put into ele specs. Like the devs made that Catalyst trait that encourages using combo fields but all it does is give you an aura. Could've come up with something interesting instead like a pistol spec where shooting certain skills through combo fields upgrades them into different forms, like fire field splits a bullet into shrapnel or air field makes bullets bounce with chain lightning. -
Concerned about Catalyst in WVW
Clownmug.8357 replied to scerevisiae.1972's topic in World vs. World
It's disappointing having yet another mostly melee weapon, but I think asking for more, bigger AoEs could backfire. Could end up with either a bunch of wet noodles like Lava Font or spammy nonsense like pre-nerf Scourge shades. I think if damage is improved in the fire skills hammer would at least be a decent option for smallscalle fights. -
It's dependent on the whims of whichever commander is online, server doesn't matter. Pug commanders will rarely defend but will try recapping everything. Attacking empty paper buildings on another map is what they'd most likely to be doing anyways . Guild commanders might show up to steal glory after pug defenders are mostly wiped. A lot of times their group just goes afk at the spawn wp though, especially if they know the enemy also has an organized group. Either way the chances are low you'll find a commander that seeks a challenging fight rather than an easy win.
