Just for the record a GTX 1080 that is 7 years old by now is able to run this game on 4k UHD and does not get bottlenecked. Tested on the Amnytas Meta where everyone is sobbing it's a fps killer. What they don't know is that it's the culling broken in game so they think game engine is bad when it's not. So take my advice and stop posting nonsense facts. As a game engine GW2 is doing perfectly fine for an MMO while running actual micro services. There is no mmo engine out there which can get higher fps than GW2 with 100 players on screen doing fast action combat with same level of details included.

There is nothing wrong with Anet exploring options to generate more sales and money. It’s good for them and good for us, for game’s sustainability too. You can always go do your HPs, but if someone has money to spare and skip. Why getting mad? Each to their own. You can’t see the ping to gw2 amazon servers outside of game client or your own aws with enabled ping. Can only ping public amazon ip addresses and the outcome is not identical to how well gw2 servers are doing that moment. Most of the time gw2 servers don’t have ping issues Amazon as a live service offers one of the better reliability globally? Let me just say if your best average is 260ms then you should consider even a small ruffle in your route will affect your ping more than anyone else due to your distance to server. I suggest you to start looking at your isp’s contracted international data carrier partners to see which ones they use for your outbound traffic bcs it cost money and they usually don’t use the best partner. You would be surprised how much of a difference which partner your isp use.

Black Desert Online, another mmo which is b2p same as gw2. They don’t even charge for their expansions and they always deliver content and refine their game for past and future systems. gw2 is the only mmo out there that delivers the minimum content compared to any other mmo that’s relevant.
