  1. We need to focus the feedback on play mechanics not numbers. It is easy for balance team to adjust numbers but not the gameplay. For example, right now staxe mirage is benching high but maintaining that 10% chaos aura buff is hard and unfun to play with for most ppl. If its bench number gets adjust down to like 41-42k then again no one will play due to how difficult it is to play that spec well + its inherent slow dps ramp up.
  2. Yes. it is still very strong for condi dps build. 10% condi damage buff gets harder to maintain with chaos aura. But 250 expertise + 120 condition damage(240 with staff) is still no joke.
  3. Maybe a confusion + torment focused condi dps spec can do viable dps after patch tomorrow. Something like chaos + illusion + mirage. Staff + scepter/torch. You will lose bleed but gain torment from shatter and increased confusion duration from the new Malicious Sorcery trait Gear wise, you can opt for torment duration if the new malicious sorcery provides enough confusion duration.
  4. Power for fractal(except for 99/100cm). Condi for everything else. For certain raid/strike bosses where condi is bad, virt is in general not a good choice there.
  5. Early feedback: The concept looks very cool with beacon and portal that fits a mesmer commando concept. However, for skills, it is bad to delay the critical boon/heal effect as we learned from chronomancer wells. For skill 3, I suggest you change to this: Immediately apply might/fury on impact and lit a beacon If it expires, it will additionally heal allies. But you can detonate it early to heal allies.
  6. Exactly^. The base skill is already useful with barrier and resistance. The portal will be niche especially they say it is single-use. If it is multiple use, it might be useful in WvW or dungeon skips.

  8. Mesmer has good access to CC skill to control pet while stomping ranger.
  9. I disagree. I think short duration invul is good design of the game so that you don't just straight up die in 1vX.
  10. I like all mesmer changes. PvE, PvP, WvW support mesmers may become viable. PvP one might even be too strong...depending on the numbers. Only thing I'd like to see is to make signet of inspiration 5 targets baseline. You can reduce the base duration to 2sec and make the GM blurred signet buff it back to 3 seconds. The skill is pointless without its support function. It makes no sense to force ppl to pick a GM trait just to make a skill meaningful.
  11. So much this. Please also have a concrete idea where you want build to be at in all aspects. It needs to be more than just golem benchmark number. e.g. for dps build, please consider things like range, ramp up time, survivability. For support build, please consider boon radius, application frequencies, number of boons(other than quick/alac) applied, other utilities.
  12. I'd suggest two changes 1. no clone shatter should provide 2.5s quickness/alacrity, each clone provides additional 0.5s. Make it a PvE only change. It will probably overcap our boon duration in combat by too much. Consider reducing phantasm quickness/alacrity to 2s 2. stretched time now makes timewarp pulse alacrity instead of quickness. Cut its CD to 75s(same as PvP/WvW)
  13. They don't want one spec to provide both quickness and alacrity. So it will not happen, at least in near future.
  14. +1 on this. Only change I'd made is Mirage 211 since you have plenty of clone from deceptive evasion already. You are built for in-and-out burst not for any sustain.
  15. Many ppl mentioned vanilla d/d cele ele. But I think it was actually not that OP before the specialization update. After specialization update, it did get completely out of control, much like cata today that can do everything.
  16. You could do this before with scepter already when it was projectile. Even funnier, try do this against a necro lich. Your friend will get a powerful lich clone!
  17. +1. Mesmer rifle can shoot out purple bubbles to heal and share boons.
  18. I play tested some power dagger mirage in PvP. The ambush is indeed very strong but the lackluster skill 2 and 3 somehow keeps the weapon in check. I still feel GS is overall stronger weapon due to the burst. I couldn't make condi dagger mirage work at all. The damage is simply too low.
  19. I really like the casting backward feature. I think daze can be changed to cripple but casting backward can stay. Otherwise I don't see why this weapon is any use in PvP
  20. 2s is quite a lot for instanced PvE content. I tested on golem it is easy to maintain well above 100% uptime for both quickness and alacrity. The lack of boon out of combat is still an issue(or Anet thinks otherwise). My suggestion is to make self shatter having more uptime while additional clones with less uptime. e.g. 2.5s for self shatter, 0.5s for each additional clone. The exact split can be game mode dependent.
  21. Simple solution: Give each way of obtaining skyscale a unique skin. It will incentivize players to do both.
  22. Yeah thematically it sound weird. But it is a two-handed weapon that mesmer community has been asking for some time. It means we will also get a new phantasm.
  23. The quickness/alac duration on chrono is pretty long by PvP standard. After a burst rotation, I still have quite a bit of quickness left to spam autos.
  24. I have an idea on virutoso's Bladeturn Requiem. First of all, I think distortion should still be removed for virtuoso and rebalance from there. Suggested change: Make bladeturn requiem damage scale up with the number of blocks up to a certain limit. Currently the skill is only meaningful for its block and the deadly blade buff. It encourages player to trigger it with just one blade. With the proposed change, it will have more counterplay potential. If you block attacks with high blades, you will have a long lasting high damage spin which can seriously hurt melee attackers. It will also have very good use in WvW zerg. Even in PvE, if you use it well, it can increase dps.
