  1. It is NOT the first skill to work like that in this game, there are other instances where you have the same type of action...a single skill that does multiple functions, the only difference between this one and those other is you hold it down. The tank is not the only thing players can do in that Boss fight, there's also gathering the scrap and ammo to repair/arm the tank, destroy the portals and using the vents to raise the blast shields(which the one time I did it I didn't see anyone using) and killing the spawns. I don't think you need everyone piling on the tank for it to work properly, I mean it is supposed to be everyone doing a different part of the battle, not all doing one thing. You can gather ammo, scraps, kills mobs, shoot off the cannons before and after the break bar appears. I don't know about anyone else but I do not want to fight that boss for over an hour cuz people do not get in the tank during the break bar phase and press 3 to harpoon it. The entire first part of the instance teaches players the mechanics of the fight. That's why people are frustrated when people do not listen or understand the fight and prolong the boss fight. An hour to fight the Forgeman, I think the instance I was in only 1 or 2 people got in the tank and it didn't take anywhere close to an hour, at the most 10 - 15 minutes, something is really wrong if it takes an hour or more to take the Forgeman down.if you have 10 people in the map, 1-2 people will not break the break bar using the harpoon which means it will not take 10-15 mins with a full public squad. And yes something is wrong when it takes over an hour, I appreciate that viewpoint.

  3. How much time difference did it take to solo the tank instance in a private squad compared to a full public squad?
  4. That other person was prolly me lol. I kept telling people in map chat and in /s to get in the tank and press 3 to break the break bar. And one of the ignoring people was someone in my guild smh. I whispered him and asked if he was a bot but he never responded back and kept auto attacking the boss. He eventually died to the rush of mobs and logged out.
  5. I don't block anyone. If someone is being annoying, i just put the map chat text box to combat or just don't look at the map chat. Guess it doesn't bother me as much as the next person.
  6. Did some world bosses and all i got from the extra loot box was just silver ore. Oh wells, it made the WB train popular for a minute.
  7. Only world boss i prioritize nowadays is teq. Chance to get an ascended weapon and guaranteed 2g on first teq kill then 1g on teq kills on alts afterwards per day.
  8. Coincidentally / Alanis Morissette Ironically, that purportedly is why ANET put the AP cap in the first place, because they worried players felt pressured to do their dailies every day for that AP reward. I personally don't buy that explanation, and instead surmise that they didn't want players to get high AP numbers just by picking berries or standing on vistas every day. /shrug If you look through the old forum you can find topics from the hardcore AP hunters literally begging Anet to put a cap on dailies because they were so sick of feeling pressured to do them every single day. Anet actually tried to compromise first by making it so you only have to do 3 but still get the 10 AP you used to get from doing all 10 that were available, but apparently that wasn't enough. That actually makes me sad to read. So now, if you want any of the higher AP achievement chests, you have to be sure to play all game modes (PvE, WvW and sPvP) as well as hunt down AP during each living story episode / holiday event. What rational, intelligent and logical person would conclude that THIS is a better system than allowing players to slowly progress to those goalposts simply by doing dailies to fill the gap? :boggle:Yes, to achieve achievement points past the daily cap, you need to actually play the game. What higher Ap chests are you aiming for? The items past 40k AP? or just the gems? I got over 26k just by doin pve and dailes in 6 years. I used to be stricter on getting all AP's when new LS came out but I hardly try to finish them all anymore since getting more AP doesn't appeal to me. And this argument appears all the time about the daily cap. Take this thread for example: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/73348/daily-ap-cap/p1 Bottom line, Anet will not increase the daily cap anytime soon. People have been asking this for years.
  9. 2g from 15 minutes-max daily then do the daily teq and you'll have your daily 4g and extra loot from teq with a chance of an ascended weapon. That's been my daily routine since they upgraded teq. Granted i do other meta's but for just casual gold grinding, its fast and easy. Do that for a month and you'll have 120g just from 30 mins of playing per day. Can't be more casual than that.
  10. i did the jade fragment farm in Lake Doric just to get the ascended backpiece. Did that everyday with 3 alts until i had enough to give to my 10 alts. I'm used to grinding since i played jprgs ever since i was a kid. But for me, to get into the mood and mindset to mindlessly grind items everyday, i just turn on music and familiarize the route to finish it asap. And know that the goal gets there sooner everyday. And be thankful this game is very casual when it comes to grinding. Other games are MUCH MUCH more difficult and/or boring when grinding. IE WoW rep grinding....it would take me months of everyday playing just to finish one rep to buy a mount lol.
  11. not a mob but the kid in Free City of Amnoon in Crystal Oasis when trying to get the daily vista on the pipe. They put that kid there throwing water balloons at you so you're in combat and can't get the vista. It was funny on the first day but the kid is still there chucking balloons for one goal: to annoy you. But mob wise, i say canids with their knockdown and damage after. if i'm on my mesmer, its a guarantee down state.
  12. I've only done it once with my first made character. I thought that was agonizing already but with 9 alts, i cant even imagine doing it all over again. But i did collect all wp's for all my alts so i can do the dailies quicker by setting them at certain parts of the entire map.
  13. I have been getting these delay spikes/errors when I sell on the TP. Sometimes it happens after a few successful tries but I've seen it happen on the first sell on the TP. Not sure when I first experienced this but a rough estimate would be about 3-4 weeks ago.
