  1. The changes they made to the Charr when the game first launched will always be among the worst botches / changes to the lore to me, as well as painting the Ebonhawke Separatists as 100% black and white evil for wanting to be independent from Kryta.
  2. The most mediocre and disappointing execution of the grand finale of a story a decade in the making, and arguably some of the worst and most questionable writing the game has ever seen.
  3. Well it is interesting I suppose, but I've been desperately hoping for a viable ranged DPS spec in the form of dual pistols for the last few years ever since they neutered rifle. I feel like the offhand pistol is a holdover from just such a thing and that this was developed last minute to replace it in response to FFXIV's suddenly spike in popularity. I feel like this should have been a new class altogether rather than just shoving it exclusively into warrior since it's a brand new weapon type.
  4. Please no, half of warrior's main builds are already support builds like banner slaves. Also please no. Don't turn P/P into a support build if we get it. Warriors needs a viable ranged DPS build. The rifle has been nerfed into the ground and the bows while not quite as useless are still pretty useless.
  5. A viable ranged DPS build for warrior. Pistol/Pistol please. No more of this banner slave / support oriented stuff. -- And also a lot of the stuff already mentioned by others above.
  6. Anet's out in this situation is that you do not have to spend real money to acquire the chests or even the keys to open them. The chests can drop as loot and that is how I've gotten most of mine. And since you can convert gold into gems to get the black lion keys you are not forced to spend real money. I don't know if EA's sports games work similarly or not, I don't play them.
  7. I've never much been a fan of arbitrary limitations skin wise. There's quite a few helmet skins in the light and medium section that would go great with my plate, and vice versa. Let them eat cake, or in this case, let people wear whatever the kitten they want. Along those lines, I'd also like to see all weapon types opened up to all classes because why not, even if you're limited to just 1-3 basic attacks on some of them for your class. Fashion wars and immersion demands it, I guess.
  8. This is probably the first Halloween event I logged in and then back out in less than an hour. Just not feeling it this year. It hasn't really brought anything new or interesting to the table from what I've seen so far but I'll take another look later.
  9. And this method is better then the current trading post how? It gives players that want to direct trade an avenue of doing so rather than relying on the mail system alone. As it stands now, you cannot see who you are trading with on the auction house and anything you post there is visible to and can be purchased by anyone. I see no harm in being allowed to specify a single buyer by name.
  10. How about a compromise? Allow targeted sales and purchases between players utilizing the auction house. For example, a player can post an item to the auction house on offer to another player specific by name or account and said other player can either make the purchase or reject it. If the item is purchased it is mailed directly to the player and the payment is mailed directly to the seller. This would allowed the current system to persist as it is, scams will be avoided and the auction house will still take its fee, thus acting as a gold sink, and players will be able to perform direct and private transactions fairly.
  11. They have Rifle and Long Bow. I hope the next range weapon is Dual Pistols. Likewise, warrior needs a viable ranged dps kit out. Much as I'd love dual pistols for that I'd be fine with Staff being the new weapon for those support favoring players if Anet would fix the rifle. It hasn't been remotely viable outside of pvp in almost 8 years. That said, they need to go ahead and separate PvP and PvE stats altogether so weapons and skills and be balanced independently of each mode. It sucks to have weapons nerfed and broken for PvE because of it being to OP in PvP and vice versa.
  12. If Arenanet can't even (or simply refuses to) make Rifle viable, I doubt they will give Warrior a viable ranged elite spec. You're probably right, but a guy can dream. It would be a nice to have a decent and viable ranged weapon for the warrior in PvE. I usually like to run with a combination of a close range weapon and long range weapon in PvE so I can adapt to situations and mechanics. This works fine for every other profession I played, but the warrior's ranged weapons are very lacklustre. I can't speak for warrior ranged weapons in WvW or PvP as I don't really play my warrior much in these.I'd love to do the same and I miss doing it so much, but every time I think it's safe to break out the rifle I always end up encountering a tough enemy with a break bar and regret not having my maces on backup.

  14. This is exactly why I'm hoping we see Pistol/Pistol in the new elite spec and that it arrives as a raw dps class rather than something support or condition based. I pray it's capable of giving the years old Axe/Axe meta a run for it's money. Doesn't have to dethrone it, but I hope it at least comes close enough to be viable.
  15. What I'd like to see in EoD:Warrior Pistol/Pistol as a viable raw power ranged dps build What I don't want to see in EoD:Warrior Pistol/Pistol as a support or condition damage based build
  16. Agreed. Bond of faith is nice and all, but the ability to just get off and fall at any time on ANY mount you happen to be up in the air in would be nice. Bond of Faith includes an additional jump for a reason. Sometimes you just wanna eat dirt and get to that node beneath you and it shouldn't require a cool down any more than mounting in mid air does (which it doesn't.)
  17. Yes, but to go beyond that, we can already hide helmets, pauldrons, gauntlets, and even weapons. Why not go the whole nine yards and let us hide chest armor, leg armor, and boots as well? It's not my cup of tea personally but I can't think of any good reason not to allow it. Frankly, anyone whose feelings are hurt by it can get over it, it's no different that people running around naked to begin with but at least they'll be able to keep their armor stats now.
  18. The rifle already does kitten damage (in PvE at least) and you want pistols to do even less than that? Not sure I'm in favor personally. I'd rather see pistols on Warrior in terms of it being a gunslinger or bounty hunter. I'd argue the profession could use a viable ranged DPS build ever since rifle got nerfed to hell and back. Half of our Metas are already support based banner slaves, I miss the days around launch in which we were the heavy hitters. A lot of these skills also sound like they would be much better suited to Engineer or Thief who are the trap / gizmo guys and who already get dual pistols. Engineer actually even gets an electric blast on their pistol (and a net in their rifle) and thief gets a smokescreen on their offhand pistol which is mainly condition based. I say let warrior be more raw power based and far less condition / support focused. All of the suggestions under what the pistol should not do basically make the weapon dead on arrival. If it is already outclassed in every way by other ranged weapons, and existing skills, why use it at all?
  19. I have seen a number of threads and some complaints in game from veteran and new players alike grinding through the lower levels. Some one beelines to an event on their raptor, skyscale, beetle, whatever. They do their attack dismount and murder everything before the newbie can manage to tag a single mob let alone arrive to the site of the even before it is completed or nearly completed. I'd argue that for balance's sake SOMETHING has to be done but we're stuck between a rock and a hard place. The core maps were absolutely not designed with mounts in mind, yet here they are, but I'm not sure I agree with restricting their use and taking away a player's freedom to use them in starter areas, especially after already completing the map a few times on foot. I do believe the solution is to either provide mount rental in these starter areas (and maybe allow the purchase of a basic one for gems after the rental period) or alternatively? Introduce the basic Moa as a f2p mount. Maybe it runs about as fast as a person with the quickness or superspeed boon. No masteries for it or real special abilities, but maybe a double jump of some sort at absolutely most (at the cost of both its adrenaline bars,) just slightly higher than the raptor's for clearing obstacles but absolutely no long distance leaping. The idea would be for it to be something juuuust barely fast enough to help them keep up with the veteran players while not outclassing the raptor or jackal. It also wouldn't exactly help them cheese any of the vistas, POIs, etc either, just get around a little bit quicker.
  20. Not sure that will happen as outfits are pretty much a single unit by design. If they start splitting them up, they might as well make armor sets at that point. See my previous post in this thread for why armor sets aren't as prevalent. I don't care if they're made into armour, I care about the haphazard application of dyes that makes my character look like they were dressed by an arts student if I stray from the preview dyes. Take the Queensdale appearance package for example - I hate how the leggings are the same colour as the ribbon on females, meaning I am somewhat limited in the colours I can use. Other outfits have similar concerns, like the weird dye channels on the commoner clothing outfit boots. I get you have a hate kitten for anet creating armour, everyone on the forum knows by this point, but you completely missed the point. I just want more dye channels on outfits. So much this. I picked up the wedding attire because I could make a pretty neat 18th century British officer look with it. Got the red coat, gold piping, blue trim, and white pants down perfectly! But the boots? They share a dye channel with the coat so they have to be red instead of black. The cravat / ascot? shares a dye channel with the vest / trim which it sits directly on top of so it has to be blue rather than contrasting. Honestly just one more dye channel for outfits would be great.
  21. In terms of the jetpack I also found it odd how you CAN dye the backpack. The blue section along the top of it can be changed to any other color, on the glider however this part cannot be changed and it will immediately turn back to blue when gliding. Pretty sure you meant that the other way around, the jetpack part of the glider does have another dye slot, but the back item one can't be dyed. Definitely odd though.Yeah, that's what I meant! Sorry.
  22. Can we have an option to freeze the XP bar on our characters so that it's possible to explore the world without leveling them up? I have a level 30 and level 50 bag opener that I would love to unlock waypoints and such on, but to avoid them accidentally going over their thresholds I have to leave them parked in the relative safety of a starter area or city.
  23. Tarnished Keys, Ornate Rusted Keys, Essence of Nightmares and Greater nightmare keys. Basically if it currently sits in your inventory and is consumed to open something in the open world, or is any sort of currency, put it in the wallet please.
