  1. On Deadeye, the changes are baffling to say the least. I'm not exactly certain how I'm supposed to get enough Malice to actually use Death's Judgement if the other rifle skills aren't piercing too. All of rifle needs to pierce for the class to work, not just Death's Judgement.
  2. This is in response to comments made by Cal about Fervent Force. While the Untamed changes are nice, I really hope you'll come to understand that Fervent Force is what makes Untamed fun. That grandmaster turns what would be a fairly boring class in PvE into one of the most exciting and responsive classes in the game to play. While Fervent Force on paper might seem overtuned, in practice, it really isn't. The problem with Untamed isn't Fervent Force pushing other builds out. The other grandmasters are just, on their face, very bad. If you want an easier build for Untamed to exist, then yes, buff Ferocious Symbiosis more (probably a lot more). But please do not ruin one of the most unique playstyles in the game just because you feel like you should. The Fervent Force build should be allowed to exist. The meta isn't being skewed by Fervent Force, and there aren't people clamoring to play Untamed because of it. It's powerful, yes. But just because it's very powerful doesn't mean that it HAS to be nerfed.
  3. Do not nerf Fervent Force. Buff Ferocious Symbiosis if Anet wants a more "accessible" build. Keep Fervent Force for people who find it fun.
  4. I'll buy $20 in Gems if you're able tell us how this trait ended up in Arms in the first place...
  5. Why exactly is Catalyst "meta-defining" when it was played less than 3% of the time, where as Mechanist and Firebrand are borderline ubiquitous?
  6. This is like a 32/100. You didn't even explain why you did any of the things you did. You just restated the patch notes with more words.
  7. Show your work, Anet. Why do you think the 10% damage nerf is necessary? This is ludicrous.
  8. How is it that Anet can release a map like Drizzlewood Coast one day, and then the next day release content where the reward is one unidentified rare? ArenaNet, you have the answer sheet in front of you, and you still get the question wrong.
  9. Honestly the specs are the most disappointing part for me. They are, for the most part, vastly below the quality we've come to expect from this game. The HoT specs were new and interesting. The PoF specs were actually pretty amazing. These ones are hit or miss. Some of them (Spectre, Bladesworn) seem to be pretty up to the quality we've come to expect. Some of the others (Untamed, I'd argue Catalyst, Vindicator) are not even close. Hopefully Anet gets some time to revisit them.
  10. Let me turn off ability effects and name plates from other players. It will increase framerates, and clean up this game's visual clutter dramatically - which is a huge hurdle when it comes to bringing new players into this game.
  11. I'm sure there have been threads about this in the past. But the fact that nothing has been done yet demonstrates that it needs to be brought up again. We need to be able to turn off other players' ability effects in combat. Arenanet, you must figure out a way to do this. You are competing with a lot of much cleaner-looking online games like Final Fantasy XIV, and even Lost Ark. Every time I have tried to pull in friends to play GW2, I've run into the same issue. They can't tell what the heck is going on. If I run a meta event, they can't see the boss. If I run a strike, they STILL can't see the boss. Making the boss models larger truly is not good enough. I need to be able to turn off all the fireballs, wells, bubbles, citadel bombardments, all the ability casts that are not my own. Effect LOD is not even close to a solution. It's just not good enough, and it never will be good enough. We must be able to turn these effects off. I, like many people here, have played this game for years. All of us have more or less put up with the visual noise in this game, and we do so because the game is pretty fun to play. But bringing new players into this game in 2022, with how clean and crisp every other online game looks these days (for the most part), is extremely difficult. Not only would this serve to increase everyone's framerates, it would also clean the game up drastically so that we can see ourselves, and see the thing that we're fighting. Right now, anyone who looks into this game's endgame sees nothing but a blazing star in the middle of the screen. Arenanet, you need to find it in you to change this. No one can enjoy the gorgeous maps you've developed, or the cinematic boss fights you've put time into, if everyone's screen is full of nothing but nameplates and explosions. Please prioritize this. TL:DR - Ability effects from other players makes it so hard to see what's going on in this game, it's almost impossible for me to bring any of my friends over to play it when they can just play cleaner-looking games like FFIXV or Lost Ark.
