This is my thought too. I give Anet a lot of slack as far as bugs and fixing them goes, but this one really bothers me. It's a show stopper bug that locks you out of content you paid for. One that was reported on launch day no less. I'm not losing sleep about it personally because I've already finished the story and it's just an alt that's stuck. But if I were unable to finish the SOTO story on my main character the first time through? I'd be absolutely heartbroken. So I really feel for the people for whom this is the case and I'm vicariously mad on their behalf.

Same bug happened to me today. Logged into a late map Amnytas meta. Decided to give it a shot. Ran out of time and the map failed. Did it again a few hours later and succeeded. I did not receive an Amnytas: Hero's Choice Chest either time.

I was really looking forward to this mastery so it's disappointing it's still as janky as it is. The vast majority of the time I wall cling it's while I'm mid-ascent! So it very rarely gets used. Hopefully we can get some visibility to this bug so it can appear on the Secrets of the Obscure Known Issues.

This is a known bug and they're working on it. Seems to happen when you reset the story chapter among other causes? If your current objective is "Take the motivation from Kamilla" then you're stuck and have to wait for a fix. If your current objective it one of these three, then you can buy/craft an Uncommon Kryptis Motivation and do it. Use the motivation to enhance the Heart to locate a higher-tier target. Scan for rifts while the Heart is enhanced. Complete a tier 2 hunt in Amnytas.

I've beaten the SOTO story twice, so on my third go through I decided to experiment a little. I was curious if one were to reset chapter 8 after Kamilla gives you the Uncommon Kryptis Motivation and replay the first few minutes of it again, if Kamilla would provide another Uncommon Kryptis Motivation. Turns out that to prevent people from doing this, the game just straight up breaks your ability to progress the story lol. Kamilla is stuck and won't give you a second Uncommon Kryptis Motivation. Using the one you got from before won't unstuck her. I'm assuming destroying it won't either. And because the story objective won't move on from "Take the motivation from Kamilla," you can't just purchase/craft another Uncommon Kryptis Motivation to progress the story. So yeah, one of my alts is now stuck on this step. Maybe this information will help Anet diagnose the issue.

Achievement won't pop for me regardless of if I use the Tier 3 motivation or not. UPDATE: Figured out how to do this. You need to do a few steps before this will pop. You need to click on the Soulbound Uncommon Kryptis Motivation (the one Kamilla gives you) in your inventory, then use the Heart of the Obscure to scan for a Tier 2 Rift. There's some dialogue and you should get the objective "Complete a tier 2 hunt in Amnytas." Then and only then should you do a Tier 3 Rift and the achievement will pop. In hindsight, it seems pretty obvious, but since I was going for a Tier 3 rift, I never bothered with the Uncommon one it gave me.

I just did the strike with Geronmy and have the same issue. One thing of note is by doing SO, I did complete my Weekly Strike objective, so I wonder if there is some interaction between the new Special and the Weekly or if the Special is just bugged regardless.

You a real one, man. I was pulling out my hair trying to get past this. I ate a Mango Pie and everything. Obviously very bugged for some characters. I just watched Mighty Teapot do this on Twitch and he had no issues with it at all.

I managed to figure out how to do this consistently. Clear the template you're going to copy to. Navigate to the template you're going to copy from and then Copy it Navigate to the template you're going to paste to, and then Paste it. There are other ways to do it, but this is the simplest. Something about navigating to one equipment template has the game remember the dyes and as long as there's no gear in the new template spot when you navigate to it, it won't forget them. It was like a minute of fixing my gear every time I did this, so this is going to save a lot of annoyance.

I've sometimes had success with this, but it's seemed really inconsistent and I haven't figured out the conditions for when it works and when it doesn't work.

I mean...come on. There's no way this was intended functionality. Why would I copy over the entire look of one template to another but not want the dyes copied over as well? ETA: This is an issue specifically with Legendary Armor in the Legendary Armory. If you dye a piece of non-Legendary gear, that piece stays dyed even if you unequip it.

When you copy one equipment template to another please make it so it copies dyes over too. I have to waste so much time redoing my dyes every single time I copy and paste equipment that it's maddening.

Kinda hoping that the thief elite spec in the next expansion can do quickness support.
