Yes, if you DO NOT select DirectX 9, you get DirectX 11. There is no checkbox for enabling DX11 anymore.

I currently play tempest in sPvP, scepter/warhorn. Fire/Earth/Tempest. I like being quick to capture and be tanky to stand on points and defend while doing overloads. Carrion amulet + runes of divinity for a load of HP. I'm fairly happy with the result but I have a big trouble once a harbinger player is near me. Then I am taking many, many conditions. In the beginning this is no problem. I run ether renewal which cleans 8 stacks of conditions and I have diamond skin as extra. But my issue is that a few seconds after I cleaned all stacks of conditions I have many, many conditions back on me and then I die from them. Is there a way to continuously cleanse many conditions as they continue to come in or be immune to them to begin with?

I actually got the most performance gains when I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 11. Then again I got better performance when moving from DX9 to DX11. Because my performance was already great. I did notice any further improvements with this weeks patch.

Thank you, that would be great. I'm not in a rush. I just don't look forward to having to do the mission again for this, even with Emboldened it was super hard. (for me) I was afraid after reading Dulfy's guide that reads that you "Must be an instance where you have personally killed Qadim.". Hm, I had interest in Raid Wing 6 today because of the emboldened buff. I'm working on Coalescence II: The Gift and still needed to defeat Qadim. Something I never did before. I first joined a completed instance to look around a bit. There I found the chest that spawns after killing Qadim and looted it. It just had some minor items. (Not "Bottle of Surprise (empty)" that I need for progressing Coalescence II) After that I got in a group and actually was able to get a succesful Raid Wing 6 clear, including Qadim. Because I already looted that chest in someone elses instance, I was unable to loot it and unable to get my Bottle of Surprise (Empty) item. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bottle_of_Surprise_(Empty) Am I fooled up now or is there any way to loot the chest and get my item?

I enjoyed this release and the new map/meta. It felt a lot more accessible than the previous one and the achievements are less grindy. Great job overall and I hope to see the voice acting to be added soon.

I had the same issue and support fixed it for me. They warned that a display name change can have some unfixable side-effects due to some things that may still be linked to the old display name. You can make a support request to GW2 support to get help with this. Make sure to include your account name and the purchase transaction details so support can retrieve the code for you after verifying that payment went through. Check your mail and spam folders first tho.

In your case, your display name CAN be changed. I had the same issue and Support allowed me to choose my current, normal display name. Please note that I knew about the possible bugs and issues I could encouter, so to prevent them I decided to not make a character or do anything with the account until after the display name change. Under this condition, I have not had a single bug with it. Everything works fine. But I guess it may be different when you already have characters, unlocks, trading post entries or guild memberships (etc.) linked to the old display name.

Pets are a hallmark feature of the ranger, they have by far the best pet system.Having said that, if you require a caster you may also want to check the Elementalist. They can temporarily summon one or two earth, fire, water or air elementals. Especially the earth elemental is nice to use as damage sponge.
